I thought it was just okay. There were a lot of much older people there, and it seemed like a less active community.
Very nice facility, can have pets. Will take to church services. Beautiful courtyard
Thunderbird has activities that residents are able to sign up for. There are attendance limitations for these activities. Please move-in we will be neighbors. The community is very friendly-the staff, the residents, and they way the community has taken care of us is amazing. We had room service due to the community wanting us to stay in our rooms for COVID. They even brought the happy hour cart around on Thursdays for the third floor during lock down.
I chose this community because my mom lived very close to this community all of her community shopping and familiar places with there for her. Because of this, the transition to moving in was easy for her. Also, we chose this community for its affordability. The sales diector was wonderful and the staff are great. They are very helpful, friendly, and responsive. The food is hit or miss. Somedays she loves it and somedays it's not so great. I would recommend this community to other families and we have.

For my mom it is adequate and it is her demographic , working class from her community, and it makes her feel more comfortable. The staff seem okay and seem wonderful when I speak to them. The are always very receptive. What I really like is that they are very no nonsense and that offer non pretentious activities. I would definitely recommend this community to other families.

My parents seem pretty happy at Thunderbird Senior Living. It was a struggle at first giving up their home. They are in Independent Living. The staff has been really helpful. They have been great with the quarantine helping to keep them safe, bringing their food to their rooms and keeping them busy. The food is really good.

Overall, things are going well. One reason we chose this community is when we visited Thunderbird, my older son absolutely fell in love with the homelike atmosphere. Another reason we chose the community is its close proximity to where we live. My husband is a fall risk and, for me, knowing that he is somewhere that there are people who can take care of him really takes a load off of my mind. I know that he is in a safe place. We have been very pleased with the staff on my husband's floor. They treat me like family and are very welcoming. The only negative i have found is that there seems to be a lack of communication between the different shifts of staff.

This was a HORRIBLE experience in which had been provided during my last month in which I paid for the entirety of my unit. The end date of my stay was to be 3/31/2020. On a Friday, 2 weeks before month end I was told to remove myself at that time even though I had paid the full amount. I was given my walking papers at that time WITHOUT notification ahead of time. I am EXTREMELY disappointed with the upper management employed by the staff escorting me out of the residence at a given notice. Not only was I escorted from the premises BUT the higher chain of command should know that they just lost a resident whom was paying $2350 per month due to the action that the executive director took. I am in a better Senior facility at this time and DO NOT have to take up with the nonsense that occurred at Thunderbird Senior Living.
Recently bought out. New owners have cut way back. Requests to fix are dragging way out. The food has gone from good to edible. Our social hours have gone drastically downhill. They are now offering residents very nice incentives to bring in new people. That speaks volumes! We've had a mass exodus due to rent increases and unhappy residents.
One of my son's and his wife have accompanied me on visits and he admitted he was ready to not like this place due some comments, but instead really like it. He said it had a "homey" feel. Apartments are nice size and good prices; hallway's are wide and the entry to each is a small alcove when residents have family pictures and other items displayed. We asked a resident to join us for lunch and she was quite pleased with it. Lunch was very good and the dining room was open from 11:00 through the afternoon and evening rather than open for just an hour or so and closed until next meal. A small charge to have food brought to your apartment. We each and all found to be it quite a value.
