We didn't care for them. They were just too big for my loved one, and she never really took to the place. They had some good people there, and I feel like they tried.

The Solana at Vintage Park Assisted Living gives the impression of being a warm and caring environment that can provide the proper care for the elderly. Our experience was far different from this impression. Shortening a very long story, a short while after my mother and father moved into the Solana my mom exhibited some mental decline issues, which my family was addressing. The Solana was unwilling to work with us in a timely and fair fashion and offer various support care solutions for our mom. Solana's solution was to immediately ship her off to a psychiatric facility for a two week evaluation. We did not think that was in my mother's best interest and were working on alternatives. Ultimately, the Solana made the abrupt decision to evict my mother; threatening to call the sheriff if she did not leave the premises within 24 hours. Having to find another facility within 24 hours and also separating my mother from my father, who is a stroke victim and confined to a wheelchair, were far from warm and caring actions. This situation caused our family to scramble and find a new living situation that met the complex and divergent needs of both of my parents, in addition, to properly address the changing condition of my mother. This traumatic experience caused further decline for both my parents as the routine they had established in making the Solana their "home" was totally disrupted. This entire situation could have and should have been handled in a much more compassionate, non hostile, and cooperative manner by The Solana and Brookdale. Instead, The Solana jeopardized my parent's well-being and created a tremendous amount of unnecessary stress for our family. it is our hope that no one will have to experience what we experienced with our loved ones. Do not be fooled by all of the sales hype that the Solana has mastered. Ask tough and probing questions and do not assume that they will always act in your loved one's best interests
I was convinced by the solana vintage park community sales/marketing personnel back in [date removed] (stay with brookdale and save $) to move my dad from independent living to this assisted living community. After signing all paperwork, I went to get keys to move in and they informed me they changed their mind and decided my father was not suited for their community. Needless to say I moved on and found him another community for the last year and a half. Unfortunately, the community we moved to does not provide adequate daily activities for my father. Good luck in finding a community that really cares for the residents more than themselves.
We were very impressed by this facility. It looks like it will meet all of our needs. We have some followup to do concerning an evaluation of my mother to determine if she can go into the general population until a room opens in the memory care unit or not. Due to cancelling our first visit of the day, we went to Salana Vitage Park almost 3 hours early. We asked if we could get our tour early and they were very accommodating.
This is a beautiful facility. It felt too much like independent living. We didn't see very many residents out and about or staff It just didn't feel like the right seeing for what we needed.
I toured this community, and thought it was very nice. It's a rather new community, and the place itself is very beautiful. The issue is that the views are not very good. My loved one would either have a highway or a store parking lot to look at outside her window, which is not something I wanted for her.
We moved my mother into Solona Vintage Park, and our experience has been fantastic. Though my mother is usually not able to participate, they have so many activities available for the residents such as Bingo, sing-alongs, off campus events, and social hours. They even have an in-house beauty Salon. The food always looks good, and even if mother isn’t too keen on them, the meals always look complete an nutritious. The grounds are quite well-kept at all times, and the inside is very nicely decorated. The staff is very attentive, but sometimes there can be miscommunication about when medications need to be taken, which can lead to occasional skips. Overall though, Solana has been fantastic for my mother and our family, and I would absolutely recommend the community to others.
Everything is going just fine! The staff are friendly and the facility is very clean. Though my loved one doesn't like to participate in activities too much, there are plenty opportunities for him to get out and participate!
We had a pleasant tour of this community. Everything went well, and the staff was very kind. The community was nice, and clean. It was a very nice experience, but the community was too far for us to travel.
I went today because my schedule changed again. I still need pricing and insensitives. I loved everything about it but it may be too much money.
We toured this community for my mom's care. This community was very far for us to visit often. The community was clean and maintained. We liked the menu and the list of nice activities. We would recommend this community.
I had a good tour of this community. Everyone was very kind to my family, and I. The community looked clean, and well-kept. The staff was friendly, and courteous. It was a good experience, but the location was too far for our families to travel too.
I thought this community was very classy and had a high end feeling throughout the building. They had a luxury theme with lots of great amenities available to all of the residents. I just did not like the fact when I was on my tour I realized that when you where on the balcony of the apartments you could hear all of the street traffic. It was very noisy and not very peaceful.
I never thought on my mother's limited budget that we would be able to find a place like this. My mother absolutely loves it at The Solana Vintage Park. The staff there really get to know every person and their personality. My mother has a shared room, but there is still a lot of privacy. She has her own bathroom in vanity. I am very grateful to A Place For Mom for helping me and opening my eyes to these options.
I would have never thought I could afford The Solana as an option to care for my Mom with Alz/ dementia. We have been carrying for Mom for over 2 years and it was becoming exhausting. A call to Senior Advisors hooked me up with [Removed] ( a wonderful advisor) at A Place for Mom and what a fabulous choice for Mom. Solana has monthly family nights and activities galore and Mom loves the socializing aspect. She is very happy there and the folks at Solana are truly the best in the business. Their compassion and love for not only Mom but for our family really made the transition smooth but Mom is delighted with her new home and friends. There are so many different living options at Solana. I am so happy that [Removed] led me to them!
The Solana Vintage Park was a beautiful place, very clean and well kept up. The only problem we noticed was it was very quiet. I didn't see anyone out, and in the dining room, there was not much interaction between the residents. It's not necessarily a bad thing for everyone, but we were looking for somewhere a little more active and cheerful.
The community overall has taken very good care of my loved one. The place could use more variety in activities as well as in meals. The food is absolutely terrible. The activities could use some improvement. I would like to see more activities that stimulate the mind and have the residents interact with each other more. The complex has no pool. They have assigned tables for lunch, and the residents are not compatible. There is little to no conversation between them during meals. I would hope that they would individualize the plans for each resident to help them reach their maximum potential. The apartment my loved one was placed in is next to a bar that plays very loud music twice a week, my mother has to put her TV very loud to drain out the noise. The staff is warm but doesn't seem too professional.
My loved ones have really enjoyed there stay so far at this community, they could not be more comfortable in there spacious apartment and have really been enjoying the company of the other residents. For an independent living facility the staff go above and beyond what they are supposed to do for my parents and are always making sure they are satisfied with there current living environment.
The Solana Preserve is new one would expect to facility to have a few bugs. We are quite pleased with the place. The people are friendly as are the employees. We would recommend it to anyone.
