April 24, 2021Thank you so much! We appreciate your feedback and kind words!
We decided to go with Whitcomb House because of the professionalism of [name removed] , the cleanliness of the facility and the use of the PACE program for financial and medical assistance. No other facility provided the guidance and assistance with both the financial and medical aspects. We were able to relocate my father from Maine to MA in just 1.5 weeks during a pandemic. We truely could not have moved him that quickly and smoothly at any other facility. For that we are thankful!

i cannot express my gratitude enough to all the staff here especially when covid hit. It amazes me how you have been able to keep my mom and the rest of the residents from getting this virus! You are doing a wonderful job! My mom has lived here for over 2 yrs now and is very happy which makes me very happy. I live out of state and really appreciate the e-mails everyday, they are informative and funny (chuckle of the day) and I love all the pictures.keep up the great work!

May 25, 2022Hi Joesph! We're so happy to hear you had a great experience with us. Thank you for your feedback!
I couldn't be at a better place! [name removed], "our leader" is a super person administrator! We are one of few who haven't had any cases of the virus! He also is attentive to residents' mental health. He surrounds himself with knowledgeable people to answer to our needs. From the kitchen to walks, activities are mentally stimulating. His door is always open. He's open to feedback. My son's "daughter" in Law have no worries about me. Have peace of mind now that I am here!

May 25, 2022Hi Carol! Thank you for taking the time to review us. We really appreciate your detailed review and how much you've enjoyed staying at Whitcomb!
The people who work at and run Whitcomb House are incredibly caring and professional. They take care of my mom as family. The community of residents are a delight! Facility is clean and accommodating for older people with mobility considerations. COVID FREE as of [date removed]!!!
I am very grateful for the level of care that Whitcomb House and executive director [name removed] provide to my family member. I felt this way even before the coronavirus pandemic. They are the first-class facility and take great pride in providing excellent care. Additionally, they have managed to keep my family members safe during this health crisis and Whitcomb House has sent out daily emails to reassure us. I feel very fortunate that my family member is a resident of Whitcomb House.
My mother has been a resident here now for over 2 years and my siblings are I are very impressed with Whitcomb House. The facility is spotless, the grounds are beautiful and the staff is very friendly and caring individuals. According to my mother, the food is good and she enjoys her meals. It has a very homey atmosphere and we are fortunate to have found this place for her.
The staff at Whitcomb House does a wonderful job taking care of residents, making sure they are safe and happy, and keeping them thoroughly engaged in living. In addition, families are kept informed of everything that therapies at Whitcomb and is encourages to participate. This is a wonderful and caring environment.
The dedication and commitment of the Whitcomb Gouse (WH) team is amazing. Their commitment to keeping all residents healthy and engaged during this pandemic is unsurpassed. WH took the initiative early in March, well before State and Federal guidance were issued, to quarantine and discontinue outside visitors; while this measure seemed drastic at the moment it provided to be lifesaving. To date, there have been no cases of COVID at WH. The WH team was selves in their commitment to keeping residents safe and limited their own contact with the others to ensure they remained healthy and safe to provide care to residents. The WH team was creative and innovative in keeping residents and families engaged and in contact. Daily email and Facebook updates, video calls, well through our car parades, outside visits with detailed stay safe precautions. Visitation precautions have relaced a bit to allow families in-room visits with loved ones however it is clean WG continues to be on alert and ready to be proactive to change the pandemic landscape.. Whitcomb House is truly a five-star community.
Whitcomb staff (from top to bottom) have been great, especially under the current circumstances. Being in this line of business must be tough for all of the staff during these times and they continue to go above and beyond. The majority have a sense of responsibility to not only their residents but to the families; they do a great job of keeping the lines of communication open. I thank them for all they do!! (The only reason I did not give them 5 stars is that in my opinion, with anything one does, there is always room to do more or do better. This by no means is a negative rating it just leaves the door open to do even more good things!!)
Kudos to the staff at Whitcomb House — they kept the residents safe throughout this pandemic. They provided community, and they made it upbeat for the residents — Job well done!!
Whitcomb House could improve on communication surrounding my father's care. They did a poor job with managing on any type of health needs. My father's own doctor has said she is frustrated with the lack of communication on the part of the community staff. For example, during the Covid-19 pandemic, it has been a nightmare. My father who is blind and deaf has been unable to leave his small room for several weeks. He was stationary for so long it was becoming detrimental to his health. They have not done a good job with communicating about about what they are doing to prevent the spread of Covid-19. They have only recently required staff to wear masks or protective gear; other communities have did so a while ago. I ask them to check on him and they say they are, but based on what my father is telling me, they do not seem to actually be doing so. We are also not allowed to see him at all and they have done little to accommodate for social distancing guidelines. Even before Covid-19, I had to request they come in and clean his restroom as they were not actively cleaning it when it needed. If you cannot advocate for yourself, it is not a good place.
Clean, warm, cozy and so peaceful and quiet. I liked this facility very much. Pricing is good compared to others. My only hesitation is the lack of a memory care unit. I worry if my mother's dementia worsens that she may have to be moved again. I am still seriously considering this facility, though, because of how clean it is. Spotless attention to detail.
People are good at the service they provide
The facility was so very clean, we were really impressed. [Name removed] gave us a tour, she was lovely. She took the time to really understand our situation and to help with solutions. This facility was the first we had seen, it is still on our list but we may be looking for something a bit closer to Foxboro in order to facilitate our transportation needs for doctors.
Things have been missing from my room. When my family comes for holiday celebrations and makes reservations the staff are not accommodating. Some staff members fight with me. They forget to give me my medication sometimes. Things get very stressful and confusing when they do renovations which is often. Temporary staff from temp agency do not show care or concern. Some Regular staff do show care and concern though. New management not sensitive to needs. There have been 4 memory care directors since I’ve been here- 1 year 10 months. No accountability shown they say ask someone else or they say they don’t know. My room is very very hot all the time and I can’t control the heat setting. The entertainment is excellent. The residents are friendly. The family members are friendly. This is a real review.
Like everything. No cooking necessary.
Like everything is great. Friendly. Great treatment.
