Friendly, clean environment

I think they have changed general management in the facility since we moved in. One of the things my mom really wanted was the spa baths and the guy that showed us around said it would be no problem, but that has yet to happen. That has been the only disappointment. I think they could benefit from a new resident orientation program. Overall it is a very friendly, nice, and clean facility.... Read more

About the facility The Ranch Estates of Tucson

Set to open in early 2018, Sage Desert Senior Living will offer Tucson seniors a comfortable, homelike setting in an elegant environment.
If there comes a time when your mom or dad needs more help to get through their day, Sage Desert’s assisted living care services can help. In addition to the usual meals, activities, and maintenance, your mom or dad can also get any combination of support services like medication management, help with bathing and dressing and incontinence management. To hear a full list of Assisted Living support services and to learn more about how we can help, contact us today.
We'll also offer exceptional Memory Care options through our signature In the Moment® Memory support program. The program is thoughtfully designed as a team-approach to care delivery. We describe what we offer as Memory Support because we’re intentionally shifting away from outdated Dementia care practices and into a hospitality model.
We recognize that each person we are privileged to serve is both unique in their life history, as well as their Dementia journey.  We understand the importance of a scheduled rhythm to each day. However, we also encourage our team members to slow down and embrace the impromptu moments...

Tour experience

I really really liked The Ranch Estates. They tried to talk to us into putting mom into assisted living rather than memory care but I just did not think that would work. Memory care was out of our price range here. The facility was extremely nice, they had a couple different dining rooms and even had a putting green outside. If my mother just needed assisted living I would have put her here in a heartbeat. I recommended it to all of her friends in her bunco group.

My tour review

This community was far away from where I live and I wanted the community to be closer to me. This was also a smaller community and we wanted something bigger for my loved one.

Positive Feedback for Sage Desert

The community puts out a monthly calendar of activities for residents to choose from. I would recommend this community to others for their loved one. The staff is professional, including medication techs, and hair stylist are all kind to my loved one. This is a positive for me.

Some disconnect between what marketing told me and what nursing told me. Ultimately, they can not meet my needs.
