Moms home care

My mom has been in this home since [date removed]. The care she receives is fantastic. I have only high remarks for the Plaza. The staff is very accommodating. It’s always clean and welcoming. My mom has dementia and was living in an assisted living place before here. We moved her up to Phoenix in 2014. I wish I had known about the Plaza from the beginning.... Read more

Commendable

I have known [name removed], the owner for a very long time. She is a very passionate, caring and a very amiable individual. If you ever get a chance to meet and know her you will understand. Her character & values are reflected in her work. She believes in family...family values. The Plaza Assisted Living of Scottsdale's culture is an extention of herself. Family matters!

A great place for mom

My mom moved into the Plaza last May. I am more then impressed with the care my has been receiving from the staff at the Plaza. They go over and above of what I expected. The Plaza truly is a “home” away from home facility. The only thing a regret is not having my mom move into this place when she came up to Phoenix in 2014. I highly recommend the Plaza!

[Name removed] was very thorough in asking about my mother's needs and describing all their services. It was lunchtime, and I was so impressed how organized they were in preparing, serving the food and encouraging some residents to eat. [Name removed] interacted so nicely with one resident who recently lost her sister. I love the dogs! This would be a top choice except the location is a little far from my home, and the room a little small.

Poor

Rooms are tiny. Closet space is drastically minuscule. No private phone capabilities. 1/2 bathrooms are difficult for someone in a wheelchair to navigate. Caregiver attention is not consistent from one to another. At times there is only one person for 10 residents. I witnessed one resident fall while others were requesting assistance. The resident that fell received no help for 20 minutes. One caregiver on duty. Night time caregivers often ride.

Friendly and helpful staff - minor miscommunication on the tour, facility is very well laid out and would be an great choice. There was no availability at the time of our visit but would be one worth coming back to if needed.
