The Palace in Coral Gables is an excellent place to live. My mother has been there for five years. She just celebrated her 100th birthday and the Palace gave her a party that was the “best night of her life”. There has been a steady deterioration in the quality of service and the quality of the food over the past three years. With the amount of money my father is spending he should have nothing less than an outstanding experience.Reviewed on A Place For Mom

We toured this community. The staff was very helpful. We needed more of a assisted living community. We did not see the menu of the meals that would have been offered. I would suggest this community to other families needing this type of care with a good valueReviewed on A Place For Mom

I visited my grandparents at this place and feel very disillusioned. The food is absolutely terrible and almost inedible. The wait staff friendly but very untrained. Many of them are college kids going to school nearby. Cheap untrained labor is no substitute for quality. The place is very clean but probably the tackiest retirement home I've ever seen. Note to the developers: duplicating the look Versailles does not equal good taste. The apartments are tiny. All-in-all, not a good value for the money. I hope to never end up here!Reviewed on A Place For Mom

Mom is as happy as can be!

The Palace at Coral Gables is a wonderful place for seniors to live. My mom was very much against living in any kind of senior community until she had lunch during a visit about a year ago. Within days of the visit she called me and said that she wanted to move to The Palace (never mind that she had JUST moved to a new apartment a couple of months prior)! But we were so happy about her decision that we happily moved her again.
My brothers and sisters all live far away from Miami so from a practical perspective, it gives us peace of mind that she is surrounded by more friends than she ever has been and we know that people look out for one another. The nice thing is, the staff know the residents like family but always treat them as guests. If you go visit you will see that the facility is gorgeous and there are always activities and outings planned. But just as important, Miracle Mile is one block over and everything you could want is within walking distance. I find that going shopping or taking a walk are common unplanned activities that the residents do together.
The staff at The Palace are wonderful. Whenever I have questions or concerns, they are great about going above and beyond to help me (or my mom) out. You should check it out and I'm sure that any senior would be happy there.Reviewed on SeniorAdvisor.com
Assisted Living is Special

Since our parents are on the single assisted living floor, I can comment best about this. Many of the 3rd Floor Assisted Living residents were moved there at the insistence of their children, and our parents are no exception. There are few places on this planet where one can move one's parents into assisted living, without feeling guilty, or that the quality of their lives have somehow been diminished. The Palace has proved to be an exception. Our parents are receiving the best of everything. They live in a physically beautiful and immaculate environment, they eat great food, they receive the kindest of attentions, they are offered the most variety of experience possible, and the genuine care and concern of a highly professional and loving staff. The Palace is expensive, but the feeling of confidence in the care and the environment, and the freedom from anxiety that comes with that confidence is irreplaceable.Reviewed on A Place For Mom

My parents have lived at the palace since June 2013. My family and I beleive the Palace, its people, and its activities, have prolonged their lives. My parents enjoy the facility and most of all the people. The other residents are very interesting and are building a terrific community feeling of support and caring for each other. The staff is fantastic. The staff is very tuned to the needs of seniors. This is a terrific place for my parents and their friends. Other outstanding parts of the Palace include the location and the food. The Palace is an outstanding opportunity for my 90 year old parents.Reviewed on SeniorAdvisor.com

My parents have been living at The Palace in Coral Gables since January. They and we are very happy with the environment, care, activities and responsiveness of The Palace. They have made friends, started new activities (Tai Chi, board games, movie night), enjoy the nightly happy hour and the ease of having healthy meals available daily.Reviewed on A Place For Mom

Class act all the way
Anonymous - Toured community
We discovered The Palace while helping my parents look for a good place to relocate to. The location is particularly convenient for us since we have lots of family in that area, but this place is a class act all the way. It feels like a luxury hotel that just happens to have all the right accommodations in the right places, in both the apartments and the common areas - grab bars where you expect, but of polished oak; lovely upholstered chairs in the fine dining room, but with very subtle casters you wouldn't even notice; smooth floors, because it's polished marble. The facilities are first-rate and beautifully appointed, the staff all seem to know every resident on a first name basis, and there is a great social vibe, with a daily Happy Hour with live music entertainment (!) in the lobby lounge! Not the cheapest place to stay, but you really do get what you pay for. The manager, Haim Dubitzky, is a gem and even gave us a ride to the airport in his own car when our cab didn't show up on time. We're in the process of helping my parents relocate there and can't say enough good things about how they've handled every aspect of it so far.Reviewed on A Place For Mom

The facilities are first rate, but even more impressive is the friendliness and attitude of the entire staff--professional, administrative and service. There is constant and varied activity going on, more that sufficient to satisfy virtually any interest, from educational, cultural, religious or entertainments. There are also wonderful events on special occasions and holidays where outsider friends and family are welcome. The experience to date has been better than expected.Reviewed on A Place For Mom

WOW!!!! This place is AMAZING!! When we moved my Mom here, I thought the pictures were great, but the place is just so much more than that!! The staff here is first-class, and the residents are so much more independent and lively without all those walkers you see every place else! Mom was super reluctant at first, but after a few weeks, she totally came around and only regrets she didn't move sooner. THANK YOU PALACE FOR BUILDING THIS ONE-OF-A-KIND COMMUNITY! We all sleep easier at night for the first time in years! You MUST see this place before ever deciding on any other place! No wonder they won first place in the nation!Reviewed on SeniorAdvisor.com
