It was nice. Seemed more like a huge hotel. But dad would've been on the 3rd floor. I felt like it didn't feel homey, and close knit. And was more like I said, a resort hotel type with a lot of residents. It was not the right style fit for my parents.
We've been happy with The Grove at Midtown. The main thing - they keep the facility very clean, and their communication is very good. I would highly recommend them to other families.

Our family had an in-person tour and the staff members were extremely friendly and provided us with a good tour experience.
The Grove at Midtown has been 100% then our loved ones previous community, the staff members here give so much better care. We have already recommend this community to other families and we will continue to do so.

This facility is expensive, but the location was perfect for our family and it is smaller than some (which was important to us). The staff is very caring and friendly. The food is good. They also keep my loved one active. She's happy here.

This was a nice community, but it had more of the nursing home feel.
We have been very pleased with the services provided by The Grove. The staff communication with the family is proactive in communicating about loved one. There is always an opportunity to communicate with the staff as well. There are three meals a day served to the residents and there are choices to choose from. Some of the activities available include bingo, table games, singing, and more for the residents to participate in. The staff has been very good at engaging my loved one in socialization and other activities available in the community.

We toured with The Grove at Midtown and it looked to be a great place. It seemed like the residents here needed more care than my loved one did and that was the reason we decided against this facility. There did not seem to be a whole lot of activities going on and I wanted my loved one to be social and interact with others.

They told us everything and showed us everything that we wanted to hear - however once we signed on that dotted line and moved our loved one in, it was completely different. It was a total bait and switch situation, no help was ever offered to our family.
Everything is good at this community but it is a little high. It is not bad but just expensive for memory care.

A MUST TOUR COMMUNITY!! A hidden gem up on a hilltop in desirable Midtown, easy access to everything. The beautiful renovation gives the community such a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff is very accommodating and treat the residents like family. I noticed this on my tour when a staff member would greet a resident by name as we passed them in the hallway. The staff on my mother's memory care floor are wonderful. So patient with each resident, which can be a very difficult task at times. The activities coordinator goes above and beyond her call of duty. Calls me with updates on Mom every month, even calls to tell me stories about her that make us both laugh. I have open communication with the nurse for questions which is very comforting. She is very professional and gets results:) Mom enjoys the food, which is a difficult task at times for Dementia patients...she really enjoys the desserts! My father can enjoy being her husband again, not her caregiver! Thank you:)

This is a beautiful community. My loved one was happy here during their stay. They have redecorated and freshly painted the community. The only concern was the call button would take longer to get a response to the residents than anticipated.

We visit once a week and love it every time that we go. My loved one loves the food. We ate there for thanksgiving and it was fabulous. They have been working on a remodel for a long time and it is finished and everything is really clean and new. They took over from another company and re did everything.

The community has a residential feel and layout. The staff are very compassionate about the care they provide the residents. Some of the activities include flower arranging, trivia day, bingo nights, horse races, and more for the residents to participate in

I know my loved one fell and none of the staff checked on my loved one. My loved one had a huge bruise on half of their face. There was a shift change at 7, and I spoke to the head nurse and there was nothing reported about injuries. I ended up moving my loved one out of the community because of this and lots of other reasons. I even questioned which area my loved one was in. The staff would leave my loved one's kitchenette, and my loved one didn't know it was there or that belonged to them. My loved one needed to have food placed in front of them, or my loved one wouldn't be able to eat it. They let the residents choose their food, and my loved one kept choosing the same meals that weren't nutritious.

The community was understaffed due to covid but did the best they could. Don't hesitate to call and talk to your loved ones and the head to see how things are going. I would recommend this community to others the staff is very helpful and it's a good community.

June 30, 2021AW, we could not agree more that calling us through COVID-19 was helpful to the residents and the staff. We missed seeing so many of you in the community weekly. Thank you for taking a moment to write a review for The Grove at Midtown. I will share with our teams your comments, and if we can be of any additional assistance, please let us know. My mom lived at Brookdale Tulsa Midtown for 8 years. I got to know many of the staff members, who are extremely caring. Many have been there for a long time, providing stability and high quality care. Each one made an effort to get to know my mom personally. They have a very good system of nursing care and integrate with the resident's physician. The rooms are nice, and the facilities are clean. Before Covid, there were many social activities and outside enrichment activities. Since Covid, I think Brookdale has done an excellent job of keeping everyone safe and figuring out ways we could stay connected with outside porch visits and video calls. During her last days at Brookdale, my mom was in hospice and I am so appreciative of the compassionate care that she received. My mom liked it there, and I felt confident that she was safe and receiving great care. [name removed], the local leader, and her entire team are delightful to work with.

Response from The Grove at Midtown Senior Living
June 30, 2021Fran C., thank you for choosing The Grove at Midtown for your Mom and writing a thoughtful review of her stay and care. We appreciate the activities comment and itching to begin rolling out post COVID-19 events, trips, and adventures for our residents. I will encourage our teams to read your compliments, and if we can be of any additional service, please let us know. Sincerely the team at The Grove at Midtown.
Our loved ones chair was never cleaned, and it always had food on it. Some of the staff members were good, and some were not responsive to our loved ones needs. Our loved one was left sitting in her diaper numerous of times. The staff did not respond to their call buttons. From our experience and others around her, it would take the staff around 40 minutes to come to our loved one, if they even came at all. There was plenty of activities to participate in, but they only took her to bingo. There were many other activities she would of loved to participate in.
