I toured this community and I like it. It's a very nice place, beautiful. I didn't like the set up for memory care, that unit is located all the way in the back and seems very secluded. The other levels seem really great.

Response from The Forum at the Woodlands

One of the special features of our memory care neighborhood is it’s small size and award winning programs. Our Bridge to Rediscovery program encourages engagement and our setting encourages freedom within a secure environment. I am the Executive Director and I would be delighted to introduce you to family members who have seen their loved ones flourish in our memory care setting. Please call me.

Tour of The Forum

I toured The Forum at the Woodlands and it was very nice. My mom would not have been able to do what she needed to, as she was having too many issues with mobility. The Forum would be better suited for someone who is a bit more mobile, but it's a very nice facility and I would have liked it otherwise.

My Tour Experience at The Forum at The Woodlands

This was a very nice community. It was too big and too expensive for us.

Response from The Forum at the Woodlands

July 2, 2022

Thanks for taking the time to visit us. While we may feel big at first, our residents and team are very welcoming and newcomers find that they make friendships and feel at home right away. You may want to consider a short-term stay, which will let your loved one see that we're smaller than they might have initially thought and that each resident receives an abundance of personal attention. Note also that we do have a wide variety of floor plans that accommodate personal preferences and budgets. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.

Tour experience

We toured with The Forum and the facility seemed dated. We did not take our loved one here because we knew she would not like the look of it, The cabinets and the flooring in the apartments looked like it was from the 70's.

The Forum at The Woodlands has proudly served seniors and those who love seniors for over 30 years. We are excited to let you know that we are starting a multi-million dollar renovation this year. friendly staff and a nice community

So far it has been a good experience, our mother is really loving it there. The staff is wonderful, and the location is great. They are working on improving the meals, but there are plenty of activities going on. During the holidays they decorated for Thanksgiving and Christmas and that meant so much to our loved one after being isolated the first two years with the pandemic. It is expensive but it is all inclusive.

Thanks for visiting us and for your kind words about our beautiful setting and wonderful team. Great staff members

We chose The Forum because of our knowledge about the facility, the decor is resident appropriate, an we had relatives and friends at church who had loves ones here. The staff are very understanding and patient and deal very well with residents in this age group, they are the best part about the facility. A lot of them have been there for 25-30 years which says a lot. I would highly recommend to others looking.

Very good experience

We chose The Forum because of the location as well as the the reputation. I worked in the medical field for years and some of my patients had lived here. Her room size is very good, the others I have seen are adequate for the needs. I think it is a very pretty location, it is on a beautiful plot of land with a lot of trees far from busy streets. I would definitely recommend them to others looking. We toured during covid and it made a lot of difference that they wanted us and encouraged us to come into the facility rather than doing a virtual tour. It allowed us to see all parts of the facility rather than just the rooms.

Depressing

Unfortunately the facility needs serious updating. Repairs in the memory care facility courtyard have not been done in 9 months Furniture needs to be replaced with furniture that can be cleaned and is not upholstered. Carpets should be replaced with something that can be mopped. Bathrooms lack proper rails for support around the toilets. Residents should be taken out daily for walks and fresh air

I am the Executive Director and The Forum at the Woodlands it is our goal to exceed expectations for all our residents, families and guests. Please contact me directly at your convenience so that I may better understand your concerns and can look to address them in the future. Note that during this time we have halted all non-critical renovations and construction in our community and are supplementing in-room activities and programming to keep residents engaged and from feeling isolated while visits are suspended.

When Comparing to Others

The community is beautiful - lots of woods. We had a good tour and everybody we met was nice. They were professional and they were able to give us answers we needed. We needed 3 meals a day and a huge bedroom for a king size bed. When we were shown around the community the bedroom was not large enough. They were not fitting for our needs.

Care and other comfort

This is a nice community for the care. The staff is caring and nice. My mom does like the community, but it does need some small improvements. My mom says that the meals are good and sometimes she is not pleased with the meals. They offer activities for her to participate and she does enjoy that they have a lot of options, but they need more for the residents. We would suggest that families tour this community for the care of a loved one.

we toured this community and liked the environment of the community. the staff was kind and helpful to answer the questions that we had. Parents are Well Since Their Move

My parents are doing well since their move to this community. They haven't complained about anything yet, and I'am comfortable with their move to this community. They have had some turn over since their move, and some changes in the administration. However it isn't a negative issue, it just something new to get use too. This is a good, safe community, and I would recommend it. It is working out well for my family.

I took a tour!

When I was searching for a community for my father, I toured The Forum At The Woodlands. It was a good tour, the tour guide was able to give me good information and answer any questions. The facility itself was clean, and it was a good experience to tour, but I found another place that fit my father's needs a little better.
