We moved our mom to Enclave 3 years ago during the middle of Covid. It was such a hard decision to make and we were so worried that we did window visits every day because in the beginning we weren’t allowed in. We’ve seen the good and the bad and are grateful for all they have done and are doing for mom. She’s now in their memory care and the Director is wonderful. She has a lot of activities they do and they are working hard to find the right staff not just anybody. I’ve heard horror stories from a friend of mine who’s mom is in another facility and even though Enclave isn’t perfect it’s HOME. The staff at The Enclave of Newell Creek is wonderful. They are very caring and helpful. The activities coordinator is super responsive in Life Loop. Anyone working the front desk gets ahold of appropriate staff when we need something. The button works too, but my loved one won't use the button. Nurse [name removed] is very good at creating a customized plan for each resident. Helpful tip for new families: ask nurse [name removed] to walk through daily schedules for your loved one. That way you understand what to tell them regarding when care givers will be walking into the apartment to clean, grab laundry, change bed, etc. Also, schedule a follow up several months after move in to walk through changes you might want and go through personal observations to get a more customized care plan in place. Never feel like you're bothering the staff. They have a quick easy way to communicate with Life Loop. Nurse [name removed] is better with email. We would recommend the facility. The food could be better, but it is nice to have food available all day.

We are struggling with some of the hygiene issues, and that they rotate staff such that it's a mixture of caregivers. They're extremely nice, but we feel like they don't hear us and what is needed for my mom. Doesn't always get her medication, teeth not brushed regularly, infrequent showers so her scalp is getting bad, etc. Nice place overall, and I'm sure part is staffing issues, but a little frustrated at this point. (Very hard on my dad.)

We had Mom in both the assisted living and memory care at the Enclave. During that time we experienced a range of issues, from poor housekeeping to inconsistent care of my Mom. Garbage overflowing, trays of food left in her room for days, sheets not changed weekly, were just some of the issues we experienced. Mom was found more than once with feces on her clothing. Although we paid extra for more care for Mom, she was still found most days without her hearing aids on, and not wearing her call pendant. I believe the Enclave at Newell Creek suffers from understaffing and poorly trained management.

My mom lived in both Newell Creek's assisted living and memory care units. My family and I had problems from the start, ranging from overflowing trash, laundry not done and bedsheets not changed, to serious issues with my mom's personal care. These issues included her being left in clothing dirty with feces and urine for extended periods of time and employees incorrectly reporting her as having attended activities - even on the day before she died when she spent the day in bed in her room, with me at her side. Management and administration were unwilling/unable to fix the issues with my mom's care. Mgmt/admin were seemingly unwilling/unable to adequately supervise staff, and completely ignored my specific requests for care plans that addressed the care issues we were having. While some Newell Creek employees seemed to genuinely care about the residents, other Newell Creek employees were among the most uncaring and callous people I have ever met.

At times you could tell they were understaffed just like many places right now, so the staffing was not always great but the staff were very friendly. Our loved one had previously been in a rehab facility and in comparison the value here is very good. The meals and dining service was very good for our loved one. We have already recommend this community to other families and we will continue to do so. We have just raved about this place.

My mom was only there for a couple of months, and she went in on hospice care. So she didn't get to experience the activities and was on highest level of care there. When she would press her call button, we were frustrated that it took a long time for someone to respond. I know they've had a lack of staff - they're trying to hire more people and can't. I understand that a lot of places are currently experiencing that. The staff they did have were all good. They were friendly. They were just overworked and couldn't get to everywhere they needed to be. Also related to staffing, we had some concerns with cleanliness and noticed a smell in the memory care unit sometimes. I always thought the assisted living portion of the facility seemed really nice, and I wish that my mom could have experienced that. We were very happy with all the people we met at The Enclave, and when she received care, it was great. It was just often a long wait to get that care.

Everyone has been very nice. The apartments are clean and pretty. A few issues with kitchen not being able to really accommodate my mom's celiac disease.

We had a nice tour experience with The Enclave of Newell Creek, but we just felt it did not fit our loved ones needs as well as another facility that we were looking into.
We had a very good tour experience with The Enclave of Newell Creek, the facility was really nice.
This would have been my second choice for a community. It was a little more expensive and this pushed me away from it.
This is a beautiful community and very elegant. The people are very friendly at this community and it is well taken care of. My loved one is very very happy at this community and she is thriving.

Our family had an in person tour and it was nice but it felt more like a resort. This would be a really good place for families who loved ones are very social and like to be in an active community.
This community was really nice, we went with another community because this felt more like assisted living as to independent living. The residents were not as active also, and we were looking for something more social and active for my loved one.
Our family had an in person tour and The Enclave was a very nice community but at the time our loved one did not need all their services.
I was impressed with the facility. But there are problems with her close going missing. We do see other individuals with her clothes on. Her clothes as marked. I was given the excuse that they were probably in the laundry. That excuse was used too often. Especially when seeing her clothes on someone else.

The feedback we have heard regarding the meals they serving are good, but we do think the activities are still limited because of the covid restrictions. The value for cost at The Enclave is excellent, it is better then a lot of places we looked at in the surrounding area.

The staff members at The Enclave are very friendly, and we just really like the community. Our loved one says the food is good and they are feeding her plenty. The activities were limited but now they are bringing them back. They play bingo, go outside to garden and bring in live entertainment. They also used to only allow visitation in the dining hall, now they are allowing guest to go to their rooms.

We have been very happy with The Enclave of Newell Creek. We chose this facility because of the convenient location as well as the fact that we had been inside the facility before when looking for my father in law. They have dogs that come in and a lot of nice activities for the residents to do. I would recommend them.

We are really happy with the care services. They are doing some activities, and right now they are having the residents decorate for Valentines Day.

A Place for Mom has scored The Enclave of Newell Creek 8.2 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
