Value for cost
This community was really nice, we went with another community because this felt more like assisted living as to independent living. The residents were not as active also, and we were looking for something more social and active for my loved one.
Our family had an in person tour and The Enclave was a very nice community but at the time our loved one did not need all their services.
I was impressed with the facility. But there are problems with her close going missing. We do see other individuals with her clothes on. Her clothes as marked. I was given the excuse that they were probably in the laundry. That excuse was used too often. Especially when seeing her clothes on someone else.
The feedback we have heard regarding the meals they serving are good, but we do think the activities are still limited because of the covid restrictions. The value for cost at The Enclave is excellent, it is better then a lot of places we looked at in the surrounding area.
The staff members at The Enclave are very friendly, and we just really like the community. Our loved one says the food is good and they are feeding her plenty. The activities were limited but now they are bringing them back. They play bingo, go outside to garden and bring in live entertainment. They also used to only allow visitation in the dining hall, now they are allowing guest to go to their rooms.
We have been very happy with The Enclave of Newell Creek. We chose this facility because of the convenient location as well as the fact that we had been inside the facility before when looking for my father in law. They have dogs that come in and a lot of nice activities for the residents to do. I would recommend them.
We are really happy with the care services. They are doing some activities, and right now they are having the residents decorate for Valentines Day.
Due to Covid restrictions, we can't get in to really see what's going on all the time. But my sister has been there for 8 months and she seems to be getting excellent care. The director of the Memory Care Unit, [name removed], is positively wonderful. She is always cheerful and so kind to my sister. And the nurses that bring her down and pick her up are always so kind, as well. I am sure it is not an easy job to stay patient and smiling all the time, but everyone manages to do that. I give the credit for that to [name removed], as well. She treats my sister like a dear friend. Also, my sister raves about the food. The pictures look delicious! We have not seen her room, since she was admitted after the Covid lockdown, but the rooms we saw ahead of time were very nice. All in all, we are so pleased with everything at the Enclave. We would recommend this place to anyone looking for great care.
They do not follow through on what they tell you they are going to do. They do not follow the care plans and do not notify families about changes. They offer three meals a day. Maintenence people do follow through. The play favorites with the residents that they like.
We are absolutely delighted with the Enclave. It is very beautiful and gives the feeling of entering a 5 star hotel. Activities are excellent and varied and very oriented to the elderly. Food is quite good. But the very BEST is how friendly and warm the staff are. I can’t say enough about how glad we are to having our loved one in such a nice place.
We lived this community. Not anything like we expected. The age range is 60-100 and many residents are very competent, independent people who have chosen the community to age in and not have to move again. This makes for a very active group. The staff is very caring and involved, providing a more interaction and socialization, which our dad needs. He loves to talk and visit with anyone. The apartments were very comfortable and homey. Only have about 5 2-bedroom apartments. Definitely go with at least a 1-bedroom. $500 deposit to hold, fully refundable. Community spaces are very nice, theater, bocce court, happy hours, great social events and activities. A couple men go play golf. They work to introduce people to others with similar interests. Care can be added menu style. Essentially 6 levels of care. Nurse practitioner heads up wellness. RNs on duty 24/7. No staff dr. 3 meals, but dining room staffed until 7 pm and residents can sit anytime for a meal or snack and someone will wait on them. Runs more like independent living giving residents more leeway for personal choice, but with support staff available whenever needed. We really like this model of living.
Atria is the highest of establishments in regards to senior living!
My dad lives in the life guidance facility and he is doing really well. He participates in most of the activities and is cared for nicely. The staff is very friendly and understanding, not only to the residents but to the guests that come to visit. It has been a very positive experience for our family.
I really liked this community it was beautiful inside and outside. I just didn't feel that it would have been the best choice for my dad.The community is a little too large for our taste and I didn't get that personalized feeling I was looking more for a community that gave off a homey feeling. The staff was friendly and nice. I was look
We used this community for a week of respite care and it was a positive experience. My only concern was the call button pendant that he wore around his neck for the first couple of days didn't work. So he would push the button and no one would come. He liked the ice cream social that had on one of the floors. In the mornings he enjoyed visiting with his neighbors they would sit in the hallway and visit. The staff was very nice and very caring. The community was clean and well maintained. I would use this respite care service again.
My tour here was done well by the staff, they showed me all around and answered all my question. My main concern was the turn over of the staffing and after speaking with some of the other resident's family members who were visiting there I felt that this just was not going to be a good fit for my wife.
We are very unhappy with the Brookdale. We initially chose this community and they said they needed to evaluate my loved one. That took over 2 weeks and when they finally got back to me, they just send me a message to tell me they had decided not to take her. They did not even call me. We had chosen them because ethe rooms were bigger than other places and decorated nicer but now that I look back, the staff did not have as much interaction as the place she is at now.
Brookdale is a homie community. The location was not a good fit for us to come and visit. The staff was very nice and friendly and did answer are questions. We liked how the staff was always available. We were happy with the community being so clean. We would recommend families to see this homie community.
My mother seems to have adjusted well to this community. Everything has worked out pretty well so far. They have a friendly staff, and they are taking good care of her and her needs. They do a good job with keeping the community nice and clean. She is getting involved in the community, and that is nice to see. Overall a has been a good experience and I would recommend it.
Lynn was very nice, patient with my mom having to get along slowly because of being in a wheel chair, which we appreciated, but, it would have been so much better if my mom would have seen the rooms first. After roaming the halls to see the cafeteria, library, puzzles, cafe, etc..my mom was exhausted when it finally came time to see the rooms. To me that was the higher on the list thing to see first! You might want to consider this for next time! Other than that, mom is trying to get accustomed to her surroundings and seems to be enjoying meeting new friends.
