I as a resident for 9 years want to tell everybody that , the staff here has during this virus time of remaining in our apt, though it has not been fun, been amazing. they have provided us with puzzles, crafts of all kinds, not to mention the amazing Dinners, snacks etc. Even knocking on doors to give us apples, bananas and water. They should all be complemented and rewarded for all they are doing to make us happy.

The facilities are very nice, but it kind of ends there, and it's a shame. The food quality fluctuates, and there are problems with that. Some of the staff, especially the ones that are supposed to help with rides to the doctor and such, are pitiful. They have an attitude and are not accommodating. They will make elderly wait 35 or 40 minutes to get picked back up. They also do not have back up generators, so heaven forbid there is a hurricane in a very hot part of the year, the lack of AC could be deadly. If your loved ones are on oxygen, then there is that too, and hope the first floor doesn't flood again like in Harvey. Also be aware that when they tell you there's "no tipping", they then squeeze the seniors at the end of the year, tell them they need $2 - $3 a day, (so much for no tipping) which tallies to $780 to well over $1,000, (multiply by the 190 units, and quite a gig they have going for themselves!). Personally I think if the mgmt company wants to pay their employees a holiday bonus, that's their bill to pay.

Don't let the grand lobby and pretty grounds fool you, while the building is nice, they have some very unaccommodating people working there, especially in regards to providing transportation to doctors offices, etc. The food quality is sporadic, and gets lots of complaints. The activities are okay. After telling you no tipping, they then have a formula to squeeze the seniors at the end of the year for a bonus. It works out to $780 to over $1,000, and they have 190 units, so they rake that scam in at the end of the year. Be aware they have no backup generators, so if a hurricane hits in the merciless heat, they will be without air. This is especially a problem for those on oxygen, and just hope the place doesn't flood again like it did in Harvey.
