My loved one has been there a few months and is hanging in there. We've made arrangements for additional assistance from hospice. But the Sycamore Manor staff is very friendly. The facility is well maintained and very well staffed. It has met our expectations completely.

A very nice community. Nice size apartments, nice floor plans, large easy access shower, nice kitchen. The common areas were clean and bright. [name removed] was very nice and knowledgeable.

The staff is terrific. What you get for what you pay is just excellent. It's not the cheapest place, but it's not the most expensive either. I think for what you get, it's a great value. The staff have been so helpful and responsive. I wish they offered more options for dietary restrictions due to medical conditions. We asked if they could accommodate, and they said they could not. But they've been very helpful on the spot with some falling incidents, so that's been very good.

I've seen firsthand the day in/day out..now I recommend Sycamore Manor to all my loved ones! The residents are so interesting/have so many talents to share..the dining is exquisite..the deco is warm and inviting..clean..safe..Stay busy/Enjoy friendships with ppl of similar interests/backgrounds/..discover new interests with new friends AT Sycamore Manor! Great staff! Perfect size building in the ideal location...beautiful east side close to parks, banks, upscale shopping/dining... Right Size/Right Location/Right Price... Sycamore Manor looked like a nice enough community, and I liked it when I toured there. However, it seemed to be that the community was short staffed, and I was not confident that my loved one would not be able to get the attention she needed there.
My mom is here and she likes it. She’s very happy and we’ve been very pleased with the care that she’s receiving here. Everyone there is very, very kind. Mom is somewhere between independent and assisted living and she doesn’t like to go to the dining room for breakfast so she’ll stay in her apartment but if she doesn’t come down for lunch, they’ll check on her to make sure she’s okay. They’re very kind to her. The lady that does her housekeeping once a week is also very helpful and kind; I’ve seen her stop in the middle of vacuuming just to help my mom get dressed, even though she didn’t have to. The people in the dining room, the kitchen and wait staff, are very interested in making sure she has plenty to eat and that she gets what she wants. The facility plays music that’s from the generation of the residents, there’s spa water that they serve with cucumbers or lemons, and fresh cookies. They even have a welcome sign with new residents’ names that say “Welcome to your new home.” It really looks like an individual’s home or a resort, rather than a place for elderly people. Everyone at Sycamore Manor goes above and beyond what they have to do and they genuinely seem to have the residents’ best interest in mind. It really is a nice place and I would definitely recommend it – in fact, I already have other family members that are interested in possibly moving in.
Another new Director-huge turn over in staff and still not managed efficiently. After 6 months someone tried to make the ground level outside of the patio area- it is a joke...it is worse than it was. Still no security cameras on premises. Very poor customer service AFTER you move in! Promises never fulfilled-rude comments from the staff, and NO RESOLUTION TO THE BREAK IN!
