It’s my mom that has moved in. The room is perfect for her, two big windows let in plenty of light and provides a view she enjoys. It was a slow start for her, but I literally spoke with her tonight and all she could say was how busy she’d been all day playing games and other things to occupy her day. She says when the caregiver was bringing her back to her room he told her “you see how much fun you’ve had? You’re coming down every day now and doing these things-no more sitting in your room. I’m not going to let you”… and that is music to my ears. I’m very happy with Sunrise! Thank you.... Read more

A friend with Alzheimer's recently moved into Sunrise of Rocklin and I couldn't be happier with the care and support Sunrise has given both to me and my friend. Moving loved ones, especially with cognitive impairment, is SO difficult, but Sunrise was with so helpful every step of the transition. My friend and new Sunrise resident is very happy with her new apartment, loves the dining choices (the food IS great) and especially likes the support staff, saying "everyone is so friendly!" We couldn't be happier and I finally have peace of mind that she will be in a safe and healthy place.
We chose Sunrise of Rocklin at the time because of the location and it was recommended to us as well. The room sizes here are small but adequate. I do like that they are private bedrooms even though they are shared apartments. The meals here are chef prepared off of a menu and the food is excellent. The chef even comes out and visits with the residents and gets feedback about the meals. I think through the holidays they have been good about keeping the residents busy with different services. Overall, we are very happy with our choice.
My brother and I visited have 12 Senior Centers in person and carefully reviewed 25 more online. Our parents were initially at Oakmont/ Fair Oaks (not a good fit for us- overly priced and not enough truly "adult" activities). Sunrise has been a dream: staff are friendly, kind, truly love their jobs and residents. (Tip: if you are interviewing various Centers, ask how long each employee has worked there? Short time = unhappy workers, which eventually will show in their interactions with residents). You'll find long tenures at Sunrise. Sunrise has an open, warm layout (think 2 story lobby with fireplace; comfortable, inviting chairs and sofas; wood paneling; nice carpeting; plants, CLEAN; 24/7 Bistro; year-round porches, etc ) that encourages resident interaction. TONS of music - around 3 live performances/week. The size is Goldilocks - not so big that residents get lost in the crowd but not so small as to prevent them from meeting new, interesting friends. Sunrise is set in a calm, pleasant, semi-rural area: lots of mature trees, rolling hills and greenery, but just about a mile from shops and restaurants. We could not be HAPPIER, and so are our Parents!!!!
Beautiful facility set up like a resort. On the way to church in Auburn and bowling in Rocklin. There is a nice dining room in bristow with exercise room and transportation. Rooms were big with high ceilings and the rooms in memory care we're a little smaller but nice. Memory Care passes AR test pro quality and activities. Cable is not provided but transportation to doctors is. The one big drawback is the hours for dining, only one hour from 8 to 9 for breakfast 1 hour from 12 to 1 for lunch and 1 hour from 5 to 6 for dinner. If you miss those times you're out of luck. Also, they are $1,000 more expensive than the pines or almond height and they have 100% occupancy right now so we would have to go on a waiting list. Due to the waiting list extra expense and hours for dining we will have to pass on this one.
This place is kinda pricey, but the individualized care sounds great.
The minute we walked in this community we felt very uneasy. The man who was filling in for the director seemed to try to overly impress us and it was very fake feeling. The people didn't look happy there. The man also talked to the staff with disrespect and I didn't like that. Just by my 1st impression i would rate them a 2. Where there should have been aides around because lots of residents were alone they were nowhere in sight.

I toured for the purpose of learning about retirement communities as I anticipate my mother needing one in the near future, and I wanted to create a list of places to take her to. This is definitely on my list. A very pleasant place and very helpful staff. It is a place she can be engaged as much as she desires, and age in place, as they will provide increased care as needed.
I am so thankful to have found this place for my mom. The people here are truly kind and caring. The community gives off a warm and inviting feeling as soon as you step in the doors. I am amazed at the amount and variety of daily activities for the seniors here. They encompass the body, mind, and soul. In my mind, it's the next best thing to being at home.
Not in our financial area.
When I toured Sunrise of Rocklin, I took my father along to tour. It was a nice facility and everyone was very friendly. It was a close second but he went with another place that for his needs a little better.
This community seemed to have a more experienced medical staff. The community however felt more like a nursing home and not an assisted living community. This community is smaller and closed in. The staff I met were nice and the community seemed clean. The apartment they showed me was nice.
We selected this facility and it seems to be a great place with a good philosophy.
The Sunrise has been wonderful. My mother is still getting used to the place but I really like the attention she is getting from the staff. They have wonderful desserts. I am very proud of my mother because she has joined in the daily activities and has even joined a committee.
I was very pleased with my tour of this community, all of the staff gave my loved one and I a warm welcome and where very friendly during our visit. I really enjoyed how well this complex was kept up and maintained. Overall I have no complaints and would recommend this place.
This is a nice community. My mom loved the activities and was participating very well. This is great place and is doing great. Very clean community. I would highly recommend this community for others for excellent care for loved ones.
It has been going very, very good for my mom here. This is in the best and right location. The staff interact well with each other. They have an integrated system for assisted living to memory care. I am able to talk with any staff easily and they are attentive with my mom. She has lots of meal options that is good food and quality. It is a very well maintained everywhere. This is a top-notch community and mom is doing great.
So far it is good. The food is excellent. The property grounds are well kept and we are happy with our loved one being there.
Toured with Cyndi Dolan 8/19/15. + exc. pt. to staff ratio, staff assigned to pt's.,clean, tv allowed in room, Catholic service, 15 min. from home, shower, sink in room.Liked the fact that caregivers assigned to residents. Minimal parking..one large open living area, dark hallways..seemed confusing. Very clean, very good activities. sepearate "individual room"
