Everything at Oakmont of Roseville has been great, with one exception. The microwave/convection oven in my mom's kitchen is a poor design for elderly people with limited vision. We're struggling to get them to put a better one in that a 90+ year old can see and use. We'll get there. Everything else has been/is wonderful. Things are working very well for my mom. She doesn't love everything on the menu, but is learning how to order. They're very flexible and will bring out whatever she wants if they have it. Every staff person is kind and interested in her, and all made a point of learning her name quickly. If she doesn't show up for a meal, they check on her.... Read more

My loved one is currently a resident at Oakmont of Roseville. The staff at this facility is friendly and helpful. They're open to answering questions, but don't expect reports/updates. The move in was fairly simple. The meals are good, but it's difficult for dementia patients to eat on their own. Overall, my loved one's experience at this facility has been very good. I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

I had a bad tour experience at Oakmont of Roseville. The person who was scheduled to meet with me wasn’t working that day. And they let me sit and wait for 30 minutes before they even told me that. I then had to wait longer for them to find someone to give the tour. Perhaps they were just having a bad day. But I didn't feel I was treated very well. Aside from that, I thought the location was very convenient. The facility was nice and clean inside and looked newer. However, it was also more expensive.
We moved my mom here after 45 years in the Bay Area. The care and attention she has been receiving is nothing short of excellent. They are professional, friendly, and genuinely care about her. The staff knows the residents and also the family members. This has given me piece of mind that she is safe, happy, and cared for by an incredible staff.

We narrowed the options for my dad with early stage Alzheimer's dementia to 4 local facilities and settled on Oakmont of Roseville Assisted Living for several reasons. The staff is always wonderful, kind, professional and accommodating. The activities and excursions are top notch. The property is beautiful- not too big or modern, but still spacious, cozy and intimate, with high-end construction, traditional furnishings and decor. And the grounds beautifully landscaped and maintained with surrounding greenbelt area. I've not one complaint so far with all the staff I have met, from the Directors, RN and Med techs to the maintenance man, restaurant wait staff and housekeepers... everyone has been friendly, helpful, professional, and bend over backwards to do whatever is asked - right, the first time. Some of their staff is new , so I will update after dad has been there awhile - but so far, we are extremely pleased with this particular Oakmont. They rarely have vacancies for a reason!

It's a beautiful stetting, and the staff is nice. I think they're a little understaffed, and for assisted living, they need to train their staff a little better. I think the food is pretty good. It's a farm to fork type of thing. My loved one is less happy with it, just because it's fancier and not the type of food she's used to. She likes more meat and potatoes. With Covid, things are starting to get back to normal. They have happy hours, different entertainment, video touring. They have a lot to offer. It's just a bit expensive.

Don't just go by the looks of the place. The decorating is beautiful, but you're not buying a home. You're buying care. And that's the most important thing. My loved one was constantly being sent to the hospital for emergency care, because the staff, even when there were actually enough of them around, are just not properly educated to handle situations when they arise. I was called at 11 pm to help care for my loved one, and stayed until 1 in the morning. They're not staffed properly. There was one man on staff who was truly wonderful, but others I feel are ill equipped. And there's definitely not enough nursing care. That needs to be around the clock. They have a renowned chef there who's an excellent cook, so you'll get good food. But I never once was allowed inside, except when they called for emergencies in the middle of the night.

It is an expensive, great facility. But it is hard to evaluate it due to covid. Covid ran rampant in Oakmont of Roseville. I think that the administrative staff could improve on communication skills and returning phone calls.

The community was an older facility and the cost was higher than others in the area. It did not fit our needs at the time.
Beware. Do your homework. This company is currently in a large civil lawsuit and judgement against them. In our case, they attempted to increase my mother's care fees to a ridiculous level without justification. We were forced to move our mother. We did not have an issue with the care staff, as most seem compassionate and caring. Our issue is with the greedy corporation that is less concerned about the residents and appear to be more concerned with profits. You have been warned.

They make sure to keep the residents care their top priority even during this difficult they have really good communication, and have clarity on issues that may happen. They do video calls for our loved one, and every time we are able visit we just have a really good feeling about the place
My friend lived here for 4 years and it is a nice clean community. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. There was a lot of people in this community and it was a bigger place. It seemed like they were understaffed. They were accommodating to us but we had to move my friend because the price kept going up and they always seemed to add some type of extra charges. I would recommend people to tour this community.

Undoubtedly 5 star. I was extremely impressed with every aspect of the community. I believe anyone living here would feel comfortable, safe, enjoy themselves, and be well cared for. I like that my parent could be here and feel like they are in a vibrant place, not shut away to be silently old.

Amazing facility. Didn't really like the 16 page point system for personal care and medication charges. No cost certainty.

Response from Oakmont of Roseville
March 16, 2017Thank you for taking the time to review Oakmont of Roseville. We are so proud of our community and are glad to hear that you enjoyed it. I would like to address the concerns you expressed about the cost of care: while care charges do change as care needs increase, our program is set up so that our residents are only paying for the care they need when they need it. We reassess care needs regularly, so our residents are supported in staying as active and independent as possible, even when facing increased health challenges. I would be happy to discuss this with you further; please feel free to call or stop by anytime. Warm Regards, Cathy Katz, Executive Director
The Oakmont was a beautiful place. They had a 5-star restaurant for a dining room. The place was absolutely beautiful and a lot of the residents seemed more upscale, they had their own cars. They did not have many activities and I felt like we were paying more for the meals than for the care.

Since I live close to the lovely community where my husband lives, he often wants to come home with me. There is nothing wrong with the care. They are doing a fine job with my husband, everything is very good.

The staff did an excellent job at taking there time to show all of what there community had to offer and explaining with patience all of the details and prices they had available. I had noticed during my visit that all of the residents seemed happy and joyful and involved in different activities throughout the complex.
