Great for memory care
Evergreen Cottage for mildly impaired memory guests is very nice. It is a separate cottage where they can go to an outside patio in the back to sit, read, etc. There is a short fenced path they can walk. There is an enclosed veranda in the front. It gives a feeling of freedom. The staff is very kind and helpful. Evergreen Cottage was the reason we chose Ivy Park.

Great for memory care
Evergreen Cottage for mildly impaired memory guests is very nice. Mom was dropped and we were not informed
We had to leave due to two staff members not letting us know that they dropped mom.
There were always different caregivers .
They would not put a gait belt on mom without prompting and they should have let us know in the beginning if they were not going to.
I had to wait outside often to be let in and especially in the morning before work.
They always were short staffed. I had to schedule showers because they would not stick to a schedule as written down in her room. We switched her to [removed] and this facility is outstanding compared to Sunrise.
The activities director is kind.

I toured this facility and it was a great tour. This facility was definitely my first choice, but it came down to availability. Everyone was very friendly, the rooms were very nice, staff seemed very attentive.

Our time with Sunrise was an overall good experience, I have no regrets.
I think it's always hard being put into a position where you have to choose a community for a family member. But it was still an overall positive experience; and I wouldn't hesitate recommending Sunrise of Huntington Beach to a friend.

Sunrise of Huntington Beach has excellent staff members. they are easy to talk to and return calls promptly. I am impressed that every staff member knows and addresses each resident by name. I think they are short-handed and in need of more staff, though. the activity director is great and provides a variety of various activities daily. the main complaint from my mother is the food choices.

I did not care for this community too much. It was just something about this community that did not sit right with me and did not seem like the right place for my loved one. Truly appreciate the warm and courteous welcome. We did a short stay to aid while I was traveling in and out of the country. [name removed] was awesome. Terribly friendly and kind. Kept me well informed and reached out with any concerns and updates. Greatly needed peace of mind, as it was our first stay following a horrific experience during a medical recovery. On my return, there was even some consideration by [name removed] to stay longer. However, she had recovered significantly during her stay and really wanted to be in her home as long as possible. She has made friends and remained in close contact with them. Special thanks and appreciation to [name removed]. YES we will return for any other stays and when in need of a permanent solution.

I have lived here at sunrise for 4 & 1/2 years now. I enjoy the broad selection of activities offered to the residents. Sometime back I was asked to accept the responsibilities as the "resident president", which I accepted. I have enjoyed the open door policy exercised by the staff. We have all enjoyed a return to normalcy following the year long Covid shutdown. Our head chef makes it a policy to interact with residents during our meals, requesting feedback, which I really appreciate!

This is truly a boutique facility and its newness shines. The common areas are very high-end, feeling like an expensive hotel more than an elder care facility. Due to the small community size, residents seem to get very specialized attention. Daily activities and special excursions looked varied and plentiful. Because the rooms do not have direct access to the exterior, they did feel a bit more like a hotel room than a private residence. Exceptional dining and theater facilities are onsite. For active seniors, it seems worth paying a bit more for the higher level of service. I was concerned about some extra charges like $10 to have a meal delivered to a resident's room (waived during Covid). Residents were very happy to talk about how much they love living there.

Great People!!
I had recently taken a tour of this community for my loved one and I have no complaints of how things had went. My parents where in the search of a new living environment and this place did a great job with the presentation. The staff made sure to answer any questions I had for them in detail and took there time with our visit. I like that they had an open floor plan and everything was clean. Overall it was a great facility it was just not the right fit for us in the end decision.

I have no complaints of my tour that I had taken of this community for my loved one. The staff where on time to our appointment and made sure to answer any questions I had for them in detail. I thought they had a great floor plan with lots of great information to provide on everything they had to offer. It was just not the right location for us in the end decision.

Very Nice but Very Expensive
This community is very nice everything is in one building. The resident's apartments were on the 2nd and 3rd floors and the activities were on the first floor. There didn't seem to be any outdoor common area where you could sit and relax. The community was very nice extremely clean and well decorated very upscale. The staff was very nice and helpful on the tour. However, we found the pricing was out of my in laws budget.

The most beautiful out of all the facilities I visited. The corner rooms have turrets with windows so it's very bright and airy. The facility is located next to a park which they utilize for activities and summer meals. Personal staff assigned so my father will be able to get comfortable with them.
