McKenzie was great to speak with and seemed to really understand our concerns about my mom. She showed us some of the residents' rooms which were very nice. Simple but with lots of natural light and they felt cozy. The outdoor space is very nice here which is important to us. The common areas were definitely more homey and less institutional-feeling than some. The old monastery building provides a great space with lots of interesting details. I'm still not sure if this is the right fit for my mom but it's getting closer to what I've been hoping to find.

Mom was at St Andrews for almost one year. She was paying a lot more for extra care, but I don’t think she got any extra care. Hospice took care of most of her needs. The staff was always changing, but there are some extremely caring staff members such as Milo the med tech. When mom died [date removed], no one on the staff said anything to us. The Hospice rep was there with us and notified the funeral home. Mom was taken away and family members cleaned out her room that afternoon. Nice card from Hospice, nothing from St. Andrews! Just got a bill indicating that money was paid for August and September. Do these people even know that she died? I just can’t wrap my mind around it. I was over there at least once a week or more.

Carol, we are so sorry to hear that and want to send you our sincere condolences on the passing of your mother. We can assure you that we do not find this type of behavior acceptable, and we are disappointed to hear this. We are always looking for ways to improve & will use your comments to refine our efforts to ensure this issue does not happen again. We wish you and your family well and again, our apologies.
My husband and I toured St. Andrews for consideration of his future placement. [Name removed] was most flexible and accommodating even when we arrived almost two hours early. I found this memory care home to be just as represented on its homepage- beautiful, secure, spacious, and clean. The residents were in the dining rooms lunching on each floor. The ambiance was quiet and serene. [Name removed] followed up our visit by sending resources and suggestions for both his and my well being. It was our experience that St. Andrews carries high standards.
