I can't say enough about the excellent quality of care my mother received at Solano Life House. Even though mom was only there for a short time I greatly appreciated the compassion and dignity shown, not just to the residents, but to the families as well. The administrator was responsive and patient with my numerous questions, and put me at ease. The entire staff, from the ownership down, work really hard to create a comfortable, clean, and safe environment, with good home-cooked, food, a bright and spacious common area, and daily activities. They also provided seamless coordination with hospice. The fee structure is very reasonable. Solano Life House is a model of how memory care facilities are run. We found Solano Lifehouse at just the right time! They were centrally located between me and my brother, making it easy for us to visit . The staff were very kind to my father. He required memory care. However, he was also ambulatory and very active so the staff found ways to keep him busy. They took him on walks and allowed him to "help" around the facility when possible. They constantly kept in touch with me regarding his health care needs, medication, behavior changes, and general well-being. Everyone was warm, caring, and friendly. I received regular calls and text messages whenever necessary; and someone was always available when i needed to contact them. Furthermore, this facility was reasonably-priced--it fit perfectly into our limited budget. My father has passed away as of this writing, but I still have fond memories of my family's relationship with Solano LifeHouse. I've been recommending them to everyone I know.

My Mom has lived at Solano Life House for over [time frame removed] and this is a wonderful place. If you are looking for a place for your loved one, I highly recommend Solano Life House. The staff are all very caring and are available whenever you need them. They provide activities that keep the residents learning and engaged. They provide everything for a set fee so there are no surprises like there can be at other facilities.

My wife has been in this facility for over a 1.5 years now. When visiting we love to sit in the courtyard. Staff is very friendly. We appreciate that a dog visits a couple times a week and it is a delight for residents. We made the right choice.

Both my parents are residents of Solano Life House. My parents are Spanish-speaking, so when I was looking for a care facility, it was a must that they had Spanish-speaking staff. Solano Life House has Spanish-speaking staff on every shift and I can feel better knowing they can communicate their needs. All staff at Solano Life House have been so nice and I see how well they take care of my parents, they truly care for them and their needs.

My mom is a resident at Solano Life House and is very happy there. She has moderate dementia and has complicated needs but the staff has been able to handle everything really well. They're knowledgeable, personable, caring and attuned to the needs of seniors with memory loss. They do lots of activities and excursions (which my mom loves) and keep the residents active and well-provided for. This is also a uniquely affordable facility and I highly recommend that you schedule a tour and find out for yourself!

Friendly staff give a comfortable feel to the place. Easy to visit the home. Pricing is good compared to larger homes. Staff turnover seems frequent though, which is unfortunate. Some landscaping improvements have been made. Sometimes there is art hanging on the walls, it would be nice to have that be consistent to liven up the color and character of the interio

My mom needed a temporary place. Solano Life House was the perfect choice. She was well cared for, and was able to stay in her community. Friends and family could easily visit. We didn't worry, as we knew she would be safe and well cared for. The staff was always friendly and accommodating. I am glad that Solano Life House took excellent care for my father in the past, and is now a great option for my mom. She has made several friends there.

We had the difficult decision to place my father in an assisted living facility last year. We selected Solano Lifehouse after visiting over 10 facilities within a 20 mile radius. [name removed], manager of Solano Lifehouse was the only one that truly gave me a good vibe. I could tell that she was invested in her career path and found her purpose of caring for others. We needed to improve my Father's standard of living and safety. The assistance my father receives has benefit him in many ways - most importantly health & safety. We no longer have to worry about constant stressful events happening to my father in the home. Solano Lifehouse is well maintained and clean, which was another big factor if our decision. The staff are friendly and the staff-patient ration is adequate. It feels like a home, which is important to us. My father goes on outings and daily walks which has improved his quality of life. We are very thankful to Solano Lifehouse for caring for our father.

My mom is a resident and has been here for over a year. We love the staff!! Everyone is caring and and treats mom like family. The facility isn't fancy but it is clean and roomy. The main room is very large and has a tv, sofa and chairs. The other part of the room has mostly tables and chairs for eating their meals and doing activities. The meals are well balanced and they are good size portions. There are two residents in each bedroom. Mom has never shared a room but she doesn't have an issue with sharing. There are two twin beds, two night stands. There is plenty of space for mom's belongings. There is plenty of closet space for hanging clothes and floor space for shoes and bags and a shelf for other items. There is also a cabinet and drawers across from the closet for clothes, personal items and more. The night stands have two drawers. There is a curtain from the ceiing to the floor that can be closed for privacy. The bathroom is large with a walk in shower.

My husband has been here for about three years. The facility is very secured which gives me piece of mind. Being a small place, the staff has a good handle of their resident's needs. My husband thinks the food is delicious and he likes the staff. They keep the families informed of any medical situations.

A few months ago, our family had an immediate need to place my father in a home where he would be safe and cared for. The Administrator was key in our decision to place him at Solano Life House as she was responsive, kind and caring to our situation. She accommodated a tour promptly and helped us throughout the process. The quality of care and attention he receives is excellent. I have personally witnessed multiple acts of kindness from the staff with my father since he came to live there. Although this transition has not been easy for my father, the care he receives has improved his overall quality of life. Solano Life House has a loving family atmosphere and we are thankful to the staff for providing the best possible care for my father during a very difficult time/chapter in life.

We’d been caring for my FIL for over 3 yrs and the last 6 months were out of control. He was escaping, falling, wondering, and refusing to take his RX We discovered he was living in a world of delirium As my husband is battling cancer himself we couldn’t take care of his father any longer After calling dozens of faculties I found Solano Life house and it saved our lives. From the 1st phone call they were pleasant, supportive and helped guide us through it all. They truly were an angel. They were able to take my FIL & handle all his many issues with care & understanding It’s a bit of a commute for us but worth it for the care he receives there. I would HIGHLY recommend checking them out. BELIEVE ME I’ve done my research and you can NOT get this kind of care at such an affordable price They were a GOD SEND and able to help control my FIL outburst and even speak with and work with his doctors to get him to final TAKE his medication I couldn’t ask for a better staff and support team.

My mother has been in this care facility for well over two years and the staff is excellent. They are very personable and sincerely care about the residents. In addition, my dad, sister and myself all feel welcomed when visiting mom. The facility is always clean and offers a nice outside area to sit on those warm sunny days. It’s the people that makes this facility our choice for mom. Our family thanks you all for taking good care of her.

My husband has been at Solano Life House for over 3 yrs. I am inspired by the staff. They continually maintain a positive attitude even in the most challening situations. I have watched as they interact with residents through tenderness and respect. They have shown a sincere compassion for those living with Alzheimers and its many forms of dementia...and at all times I find that they conduct themselves in a professional and courteous manner I watch as they approach and interact with residents through tenderness and respect. I applaud the efforts of all the staff and could not imagine a more caring facility(residence)for my husband.

My father was only there a couple of weeks before his passing. This facility and staff are top notch. The owner is present and engaging with the residents. The employees are helpful and went above and beyond to make his final days comfortable. They communicated often concerning his care and needs. I would not hesitate to utilize this facility.

We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
