I think it's a great place to live. The community is clean and neat and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is really good and I would recommend this community to others based on my experience.
Very flexible in scheduling to meet my time frame. Also very knowledgeable answers.
My room is the best part of the community. The rooms are very large and the kitchen is furnished. The food is mediocre. The staff are very friendly, and accommodating.
Wonderful and pleasant employees and residents seem happy and clean and notice a good group that goes to activities that are offered.
Living in this community for over 10 years has increased the quality of my life. The care and amenities for the safety, comfort, containment and happiness of the residents are performed professionally by management and staff. Community bus schedule is available for medical appointments and shopping. A nurse is on the premise daily as is caregiving as needed. In short, Riverstone it's a great resort for retirement.
I've been coming here ever since Riverstone opened to visitors and for their activites that's why I settled here. I love it!!!
With covid-19, the community has done everything possible to make the community fun and normal and comfortable for us. It is a very nice Community where neighbors are friends!
The community is beautiful. The staff is knowledgeable, kind, and caring. They have comprehensive home care options that are offered in home by Inertia Health care that is on site so aging-in-place is achievable. The food is fabulous with many dining options. I highly recommend Riverstone.
Great place to live, love it here.
I would recommend Riverstone to family and friends. A fun place with lots to be involved in (activities).
I visited this place 4 years ago and said if I ever moved somewhere this would be my choice. After my husband passed away and I was not able to care for our beautiful large home I chose to move here. I have a beautiful 2 bedroom apartment with a balcony. A garage for my car and shopping nearby. Three meals a day in the dining room and many activities. Beautiful place to call home.
I've lived here for three years and feel that I have the best of most everything. The most important thing to me it is the kindness and caring of every employee here. They go above and beyond and any expectation I have. Friendliness of residence Lakes for Happy Times. There's much to do for entertainment should you wish to participate.
I've lived here four years and it's one of the greatest places around. I've made some great friends. Younger staff have taken care of us. Even though they have left you for school or other reasons, they come back to see us. Everybody treats you like family and it's truly a wonderful place to live, play and enjoy. Great food too!
Great for two. Has plenty of room in apartment with two bath and kitchen facilities. 3 full meals a day and private garage!
Riverstone Resort Retirement is a beautiful Community. While following the new normal Covid guidelines. It is so warm and welcoming. From the residents to the entire staff. Everyone is always smiling and so helpful. Chef [name removed] and his team are amazing, the food is always good. [name removed] the Lifestyle Director is doing a great job of keeping everyone happy with fun safe activities. [name removed] is our concierge and she has been here for years. [name removed]is always singing while she works. And finally Riverstone has live-in Managers. It is comforting knowing they live the same life style as the residents, and are here to help us live happily while being socially distant without being socially isolated.
After touring numerous places in the Kansas City metro area, we overwhelmingly chose Riverstone. It is a beautiful facility that reminds you of a luxurious hotel or cruise ship when you walk into the lobby. The Senior Living consultant, [name removed], is engaging and knowledgeable about the issues Seniors face when making this transition. The staff is friendly, helpful, and committed to their residents. The food choices are varied, delicious, and far more extensive than any other place we visited. There are numerous activities available daily. The other residents are friendly and eager to make you feel at home. Our apartment has a full kitchen (unlike most of the other places we visited), granite countertops, washer/dryer hookups, and a large balcony. We also have weekly maid service and any maintenance requests are taken care of immediately. Riverstone is located near many shopping/activity opportunities. There is a variety of floor plans and apartment sizes available, garages are available, and the cost is varied according to your choices. We love living at Riverstone and recommend it highly!
Upscale community with good amenities and activities to fit my Mom’s needs. Liked the fact that Management lives in the facility. Well kept and lots of food options. Limited number of small apartments. Apartments are well appointed with full kitchens and washer/dryers.
We met with [name removed], who reached out and was very helpful, but after a short conversation we learned that we can not use this facility with a long term care insurance policy.
My parents moved in Riverstone 4 years ago and it has been a great place for them to live and for us to visit up until the current managers came on board. As you can see the great reviews were all from the past here on Google. The new managers (husband and wife team) treat the elderly residents with disrespect and are very rude. [Name removed] (the man manager) told one long time resident to shut up during a resident meeting when he stood up for another resident who was voicing her displeasure on the many cost-cutting changes they were making. He even went so far to tell this resident (who is very sweet and well liked) he was no longer welcome to come to the resident meetings! They speak to the resident's in a scolding manner when they voice their feedback. They have gone so far as to tell residents that they can submit items in advance for the resident meeting agenda's but they will decide what they will and won't talk about. They have cut out many of the items that were once offered and advertised as part of the price, such as soda's, grab and go snacks have been greatly reduced in quantity, juice (replaced with sugar free juice water because "it's healthier"- heck they have lived this long, I don't think the company should dictate what they can have!). Won't allow residents to take food back to their rooms, no longer have a Sunday Brunch buffet because there could be food wasted by allowing residents to serve themselves, etc. all to save money while the managers take a company trip to Cabo because they cut costs. This is what is advertised on the Riverstone website: Residents enjoy the variety and choice found in an industry-first all-inclusive Freedom Style Dining and Resort Style Dining Program. Dishes can be made-to-order, taken to-go, or served up restaurant-style in the dining room, where residents can enjoy the company of family and friends. Coffee, juice, ice cream and snacks are available all day. FALSE! The place is also getting a bit run down. They let go the maintenance man and the manager is now doing maintenance. Water spots in ceilings that are dripping water are not being addressed or fixed. The carpet was supposed to be replaced on main street some time back and it still has not been done. They are trying to get by with the least amount of expense possible and unfortunately the residents who are spending a LOT to stay there are paying the price. Residents have written letters to corporate and nothing is being done. Many residents have decided to move to a new facility that is opening up nearby because of this couple and their ridiculous rules, cost-cutting measures and behavior. They have even told residents to move if they don't like the things they have done. Clearly, they don't understand the principle of customer satisfaction or that it takes twice the effort to get a new customer than it does to keep a current customer. The only saving grace to this place is some long-tenured staff who are truly outstanding like the concierges [names removed], and many of the dining staff. They have also lost some great staff members because of these managers and the current chef. The corporate office needs to change out these managers ASAP and restore Riverstone to the way it used to be and adhere to their stated company values!
