Value for cost
We chose Palmcrest Grand Retirement mainly due to the location as well as the value for the money. The room sizes here are great, they have plenty of space. My dad raves about the food so he really enjoys it. They did a really good job of protecting their residents during covid, it was incredibly difficult to get in which was frustrating but it made me feel like my father was safe. I would absolutely recommend to other families.
They try to do what is right for Residence
Excellent marketing director and wonderful staff.
Been here long time. They treat me great. The people like me.
I feel protected and safe at Palmcrest Grand.
This is fun to have a raffle today. Easter is a special holiday for me.
The community has newer upgrades, and the apartments have newer upgrades which are really nice so we enjoy that.
We chose Palmcrest Grand Retirement because it was referred to us by a family friend. The apartment sizes here were actually pretty good. Overall, I think the medical staff like their pharmacy did not keep up with the proper medication. I would not recommend to others.
I would recommend this community. It is a beautiful community. They have services available if COVID wasn't there. They have entertainment, corporate dining, a theater, and more activities, excluding COVID time. The administrator is nice.
Staff is always happy. They are a community I can afford for my mom. They have great security. My mom’s room is great. Some of the rooms are updated. Food is okay, they do have an alternate menu if you don’t like the nightly specials. It is harder for residents that can’t advocate for themselves. The administrative staff /management is great. They are very friendly and welcoming.
Clean, safe, multilevel Memory care. still in process renovations. organized scheduled events thru 2:30. I only observed level 2 watching TV together. good ratio of caregivers to residents.
My relative was in the facility for 2 months before going to live with family. She was very active when she first arrived, but 2 months later she was barely walking and had limited interactive communication. After less than 48 hours at home she continued to be lethargic and eventually refused to walk. She was taken to the hospital for evaluation where we learned she had been overly medicated while at the facility. She spent 2 weeks in the hospital detoxing before being released to return home. Very disappointed.
My dad was diagnosed by our family doctor with dementia about 2 years ago. Since then, he's had multiple minor brain aneurysms and his memory has gotten worse. In addition, he had fallen at home when no one was around; that was the real kicker. At first my sisters and I didn't want to send him to an assisted living center because of all the rumors that exist about them, but when we went and took a tour of the facility those thoughts were completely dispelled. From the moment we walked in the staff were helpful, understanding, and I trusted them immediately. The bedroom we found for my dad had a great view and he felt safe and at home when we were done moving all of his personal belongings. Almost every day we go to visit him and I can tell you that the caretakers do a great job of dressing, cleaning, and caring for those who are unable to do so themselves. I truly couldn't be happier with our choice in retirement home.
I can't recommend Palmcrest highly enough! I was worried about being able to take care of my mom on her own as her needs started taking up more of my time. I started taking off work and eventually we hired an in-house care service, but the costs were just adding up too much and we weren't happy with the care. My mom was against the idea of a retirement home at first, but the first time we visited Palmcrest she totally changed her mind. Right off the bat she made a few friends, we watched a classic movie in the screening room, and the bedrooms were nicer than her room at home. [Name removed] walked us through every step of becoming a resident, and now she is living her best life and I know that she has the care she needs around the clock.
It is never easy to say good bye to a loved one. It is even more difficult when you live in different states and are unable to be with them as much as you would like. Our great aunt [name removed] was always an independent woman and we were her only family, so it was difficult to feel at peace finding someone to help us care for her in her last days. BPalmcrest Grand Retirement helped us care for her the last 2 months of her life. They respected her and treated her like family when we could not be there. They were so kind, helpful, respectful and knowledgeable.

My mom has been treated with great respect. the staff has always been friendly and helpful. No regrets placing my mom in the home.
This place is very nice. However they had no record of my appointment. Someone showed us around and took us to the memory care unit. The rooms were very nice. There was no one there to give me pricing.
