The staff was amazing. They really worked with us to get her in, and then it quickly became obvious she wouldn't be able to stay due to her health conditions. Which wasn't their fault or ours - none of us could have known. We loved her little apartment, and we're sorry she couldn't stay. If her health improves, we would definitely go back to Oaks at Lake Wildwood if they have a space.... Read more

My cons about the community would be that the director gets back with you sometimes, but not all the time. Even after repeated emails. When you do finally reach her she says she has been busy. They seem nice when you are signing up and after that not helpful. I did like a couple of the ladies on staff. Very sweet and helpful. It is hard for me to have much of an opinion because we were not there long. My loved one declined very quickly in this place and I still do not understand why. It seemed clean and the food seemed good for assisted living.

Response from Oaks at Lake Wildwood
February 3, 2022Janna - Thank you for taking the time to write this review. We appreciate your kind words and the 5 star rating! We also wish that things had turned about better and she could have stayed at our community. Please reach back out to us if she improves, we would gladly welcome her back into our Oaks at Lake Wildwood family!
they have a good program, and they have had a good covid plan. The room sizes are ok, but the shower needs to have wheelchair accesability. The food is pretty good but I think they could add some variety. I would recommend this facility to others

They have been wonderful from the very beginning. The staff are so friendly and nice, and they really go out of the way to make the newcomers feel comfortable and wanted in the community. The communication has been wonderful. I can call anytime for anything and they are happy to help me. One of the main reasons we chose this community was because they were able to be responsible for and administer my aunt's insulin injections, which was very important to us. Since COVID, they have keep all the residents safe, isolated, and protected. It's really a nice place.

I enjoyed the tour and liked the relaxed atmosphere. The rooms available will accommodate our needs and the facility is close. I will request an evaluation for mom to see if she will be a good fit. Pricing may be present a bit of a challenge when the final bill is known.

Morningside of Macon was a nice and clean community. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The residents that we saw seemed content. We chose a different community based on the location to our family.

When we toured this community, I saw that it was very nice. I liked what I saw from the staff and environment. However it was not as close for the family to visit in the future.

I had the opportunity to visit Morningside of Macon on a couple different occasions. Each time I found the building to be neat and clean. The residents looked well cared f or and seemed happy while spending time in the common areas. The staff was busy setting the tables for the noon meal. Yet They took the time to speak with me while I waited to visit a friend. I had this same experience each time I dropped by this facility.

This facility stinks like dog urine, we went down one hall and had to hold our breath, carpet was stained. ED acted like she had somewhere to go and didn't have time to talk to us. I do not think I would want my mom to live here.

They do a fantastic job at Morningside of Macon, we can't say enough good things about them! The staff are wonderful, everyone is friendly, helpful, and personally interested in the health and well-being of the residents. We visited here a few months ago. We enjoyed what we saw with the staff and the activities. However the layout wouldn't work with someone like our loved one. It isn't the right fit for us.

They really worked with us. They keep it very clean and the staff are all friendly. I feel like the value is there. They do a good job with activities. The food is excellent. I can't think of anything that needs to be improved.

We liked this community because it was small; a community that was too big was just too much for us. With it being small it can provide a more home like feeling. We also had previous good experiences with Morningside of Macon. We are very pleased with them and would recommend them to anyone.
