Mom has been there 2 1/2 months and currently on 3rd 10 day covid isolation restriction. Staffing is friendly, but seems to be a high turnover rate. Each resident has a cleaning schedule, but is not closely followed. Activities, when provided, are well attended. Meals are plentiful, average quality. The Move in process was seamless. Communication is good. Set expectations. Facilities are excellent, good lighting, spacious apartments, walkable loop around grounds, nice views.

I would certainly recommend OPP. Overall, I'm very pleased with the staff and admin. I feel as though there is an open door policy in admin. Also, they are very friendly and accommodating. Most of the staff are very friendly and pleasant. My brothers and I are very pleased we chose OPP for our mother's care.

NOT a Place for Mom
Place may look good in the halls, but care is not acceptable. One star is for workers that show some care and respect and try to do what they can. Unfortunately the turnover rate is high (workers dissatisfied) and good staff are lost. One star for maintenance who are helpful and always trying to keep up. Rooms not kept clean, laundry mix-ups, medication errors and poor organization, no help to follow through with any PT or OT recommended, some activities planned but only for those who can remember to get there on their own, food choices not great (esp. for those needing special diets), short on staff doesn't help but should not be an excuse for everything, staff are not trained well and do not know residents' needs therefore making mistakes (sometimes critical), nurse not always available, lack of communication every which way! Thank goodness the residents watch out for one another and help each other when possible.

Review for Oak Park Place Menasha
We picked this community because it was close. I would tell them that staff mostly don t even say hi. His room needs to be cleaned more often. I knox it s memory care and i wouldn t want their job but we pay alot for good care and not sure all employees give their best. We were spoiled at willow lane. They were the best.

The facility itself is beautiful, but their service was not good and they did not provide adequate care for my loved one. It is not what they claimed it would be and I would not recommend Oak Park Place Menasha to other families.

We had a good tour with Oak Park Place and almost went here. We hired an agency to look into facilities and they told us they were having major staffing issues here at the time.

We virtually toured this community and it was nice. The staff was very friendly and answered all of our questions. The rooms were smaller than we were looking for.

Pleasant Place to Stay
The community is a nice place. Due to the pandemic it has been completely different than when our loved one moved in. It is coming back around. It is a nice, clean place to stay.
My loved one complained about the food a bit. There was a few changes in chefs.

Not quality memory care
Just a warning, do not put your loved ones here. They make a bunch of promises to you and have a nice facility to get you in the door, but the quality of care is so low. My grandpa was in memory care here and did not receive the care he was paying for. They fed him, but that's about it. Didn't help him with hearing aids, didn't clean his clothes ever or his bathroom, didn't try to get him out of his room at all. Very sad. Took him elsewhere and found a much more caring place with friendlier staff.

We Love it Here
My wife and I have lived here for about five months and we could not be happier. It is a beautiful facility with wide halls, lots of windows and it bright and cherry. The staff are caring and excellent. They provide three excellent meals a day and they administer all are medicines and shots. They order all the required pills and take care of the inventory. We are not involved.
We have a two bedroom apartment with lots of windows and a excellent view. All our needs are well met and the residents are one big family. The activities are numerous and we have many outside groups that put on various programs. Oak Park Place provides for all are needs and we are very pleased our with the choice we made. Please check it out for yourself. you will be pleased you did.

[Removed] was very thorough and answered our questions. The facility was very safe, clean, bright, and positive. On the tour, we met about 8 or 9 residents who were obviously happy & content living there - one gal even said with a smile, “you’re going to love it here!”

Horrible experience
Although this place was beautiful and the caregivers that were there were friendly and caring. Mom wasn't getting the care she needed or that she was paying for and what we were promised on the tour. They only had one nurse and she was on call not even there most of the time. Mom moved in on the 3rd and died on the 19th, a week before she died we pleaded with the manager to get better care in action before she dies. It was just so understaffed here nobody paid attention to mom's oxygen we found her numerous times without her oxygen on for whatever reason. And when she was found unresponsive her oxygen had came off in the middle of the night. Where someone should've been checking on her. I would never recommend anyone to this community.

Do not know what they could do better
The staff at this community are encouraging, attentive and a great group of people. My loved one is making friends and he enjoys some of the daily activities. They keep the community clean. He likes the food and he has a nice size room. This community is in a good location and I would recommend it.

I had a good tour of this community. I toured it for my mother, and her needs. I didn't really get to meet much of the staff, but the community looked great. I will say this is a beautiful community overall.

Over the top staff!!
My father was having some trouble adjusting to the community so we moved my mother in as well. The place has been wonderful to both of them. The care givers there unbelievable they get my father to laugh and they keep him going. The room he is in is comfortable and the apartment my mother is in is beautiful. She has a huge bedroom. I had a meal there not too long ago for lunch, it was just a sandwich but it was very tasty. They recently got a new cook, [Removed], and he is amazing. It sure always smells good in the dining room when he's cooking.
