This place needs to be closed down
I have had 2 friends in this place the staff spends no time with the ones who lifes here, also the sit in thire rooms and never to walked or to have any one to come in to talk with them. Also they turn on thire call lights and after an hour still no one to come help so they try to do things on thire own and fall. This is by far a trouble place. I have 3 people that calls me almost every day crying about how they are treated, I am now wanting to bring my friend home that is her own person and they are trying to stop her from leaving. This is so sad for her to sit alone with just a T.V to talk to. The staff tells me there is not enough works to take care of them, I had to myself take my lady friend to her home change her and put her to bed for the nurse told me they was short on staff and it would be an while to get her to bed she was wet and smelled all that day.they take all thire money to here they can't even get a hair cut.

Caring is NOT their mission, money is.
My mother lived here for over 16 years. 4 years ago she was forced out of her home because they changed their policies about a resident being able to use some of the equity in their home (yes, they bought their apartment and my father was assured that my mother would be able to do this if he passed and she couldn't afford the monthly maintenance fee after he was gone). So at age 87 she was forced to leave her home of 16 years. They wanted her to move to their apartments where your rent is based on your income and they would keep the remainder of her apartment equity money "in case she needs to go into assisted living or their nursing home." My mother is almost 91 and still able to live on her own, but at least had her equity money to help her live in a nice apartment instead of a small, not real nice, apartment with rent based on income, assisted by money from the state.

Look elsewhere
My mother is at the Nursing Home and doesn't like it at all. She has to wait for care staff for 30minutes or more for bathroom. The food is terrible when she gets it. Sometimes they forget to take her a tray. The rooms are gross, small, and outdated. What's worse is the staff have no time to be social or interact with residents. Find someplace else to take your loved one.

My grandma lives here and generally enjoys it. She lives in the Milo Loppnow independent living apartments. Her one bedroom apartment is great - good layout, very functional, and no yard work! She has made lots of friends at the facility and it has kept her wits sharp. She was hesitant to move here from her own home, but it has worked out very well. She takes part in many of the activities organized by the facility. Her only complaint is that the costs keep rising. As her family, we like that she has a good base of support around her and that she can easily transition into more advanced care on the same campus when things go south.
