The facility is very clean. The staff are friendly and answer all of my questions. Kudos to the new manager - he's excellent. He's personable, knows everybody by name, and you can go to him for help with anything. He has energy, and will call you back. There's a washer and dryer on each floor, and I was told that there would be washer/dryer hookups in the apartment. But after moving in, we found out that's not the case. It would be helpful to have that option in at least some of the apartments. It's a pet friendly community, with designated area for pets, and they seem to have a handle on people cleaning up after their pets. There's also a designated area for residents who smoke to go and smoke. The food was better at first. Right now It tastes okay. An example of a meal is a bun with shredded beef and then they might do 3 tater tots I feel like there's a lot of starch and not enough vegetables, and the portion size isn't balanced. Activities have been cut back a little due to Covid, but they still have a monthly calendar. I feel like it's a great value. I searched a lot of facilities, and I can't beat the cost here with three square meals a day, somebody comes in and cleans once a week, and I can bring in a caregiver to assist me.
Looks very good. Definitely a contender.
My sisters and I moved my dad here a week ago. He was very depressed. He already met so many residents and the move in process was just so simple and easier than we've imagined. Staff is so helpful and supportive. Meals are very good, apartments are nice and the price was the best we found in that area.
The staff members are very accommodating, very nice and they seem to really keep track of our loved one. When we call for updates they know exactly who she is, what she is doing, how she is doing and what she has been up to. Our loved one has also had no complaints so far. It is expensive, but if you can afford it this is a good community.
The apts may look nice surface wise but they have issues and are old. There were electric and plumbing issues and they don't have enough washers and dryers. if you decide to use the home health care service they have, the care is not as comprehensive as you think it would be. If you are an independent senior this could work for you.
We did not really like the environment of this community but the staff was very friendly
We chose this facility because of the value for the money and she got her own apartment which we were able to paint and put her own furniture in, it is very nice and updated. They handle and run a pretty a good facility here at Lone Star Living. It is an older facility, but they are very good with the upkeep. The staff members here are very friendly and helpful anytime we need anything, they have been good with communication. From what I saw in the dining room, the food did look good. Overall it has been a good experience.
I really enjoy participating in quilting, especially during COVID. The rooms at this community are pretty good size, they would be a five out of five. The food would also be a five out of five, they have a lot of variety to choose from.
My mother has recently moved to Lonestar, and during COVID-19, I assumed it was going to be difficult. Just not the case however, and I have been impressed how well they have handled safety procedures. Better than I have seen some physician offices! That aside, I can also say the apartment itself is beautiful and spacious and can accommodate those with wheelchairs and the like quite well. My mother also requires nursing assistance to manage meds, and well checks during the day, and the women who she has worked with have been phenomenal. In fact, I would say that’s the huge benefit of this place. They seem to genuinely care about her being as comfortable, healthy, and happy as she can be, and that is what has made this transition so positive! Very happy with everything thus far, and I will be happy to update in another six months. ??
I would say that for what they charge its good value . For people that are on a limited income this is a great option. We chose this community for the value, it is in an older neighbor so it felt safe, and it is in a convenient location which is close to my house. The food is fabulous with a lot of variety. They offer a standard menu and an optional menu. Due to COVID, they are not able to provide housekeeping, activities are not available. there are no church service, and the restaurant is closed . The staff seem friendly and the front desk staff are concerned with developing relationships with the residents and knowing them. Over the last few months, the community has become more comfortable and more like home for mom.
I moved my brother to Lone Star Living from a different senior living facility and I’m so happy I did. The staff is very helpful, friendly and have they kept the residents well informed and safe, especially with Covid-19 threatening our city. The property is well maintained and the apartments are spacious. I’m very pleased with all the amenities the property offers, but more importantly my brother is happy! [Name removed]

Thank you very much! We are here to serve our community and make sure our residents are happy, healthy, and safe.
After leaving a facility without much warning, Lone Star Living made everything possible with ease. Although the price is more than where my grandpa was before, it is well worth it and they have much more offered! I rest easy knowing he is in a safe place. Not to mention how close it is to Sugar Land!
My dad moved here a week ago. We love it here( dad, me and my brother) They have made everything very easy for him. The food is good and plentifully. The residents are friendly and welcoming and the staff are really caring. My dad is happy again...I am so glad that we found this place!!! :) [Name removed]

Thank you very much for your kind words. We pride ourselves in serving our community!
The initial tour of the facility was good, The room I was shown was clean and I liked that they were removing carpet and replacing with vinyl flooring. This is an independent living facility and at the moment I think my brother-in-law requires a bit more assistance.
The initial tour of the facility was excellent, The room I was shown was clean and they offered several solutions if we needed any modification ie, ceiling fans or doors removed for ease of wheelchair access.
My Mom moved in late March from out of town amid many tears and not happy to leave a city where she had lived over 85 yrs. I have been very pleased with the accommodations at Lone Star and the staff are very caring. My mom has become friendly with several of her neighbors and adjusting slowly to new people. Any concerns have been quickly addressed and I am very grateful for a safe place for my mom to live. It would be nice if the food had a little variety but overall the food service is pretty good and wait staff is very courteous. I would recommend this facility for good senior housing. GE.
My sister lives it there. It is exactly what she needed. The staff is so wonderful. Great place!
We had a pretty nice tour of this community. It is a good community. The staff was very kind, and helpful. Our questions were answered, and they were very informative as well. There were many factors that played into where my husband, and I would move too. I did found a community that suited our needs better. but our went tour of this facility.
My mother moved here recently and still isn't getting involved in activities but the staff and residents all encourage her. We've eaten with her and were pleasantly surprised by how good it was! The one drawback is they've had three managers in the last two months. The new manager has said they plan to do some renovations on the exterior of the building. I think this would be beneficial on the inside as well. The interior is not very outdated but new carpet and a basic revamp would be nice. I chose this community because it is five minutes from my house.
I really enjoyed my tour of this community, they treated me very good. Everyone was very welcoming and kind. I loved the way the community looked, very homey. The staff was helpful and very courteous. It was a little to expensive for my budget, but my tour went well.
