My brother [name removed] and myself recently made a visit to my Dad [name removed] at lone Mountain. We were there for a couple of hours and were treated promptly by the always friendly staff. We made sure his TV was working and then asked for assistance from [name removed] the facilities manager for help with fixing the land line phone. He was very responsive and helpful. We then went into the courtyard and played some minature golf on the putting green and then had another resident come out and join us for a game of "cornhole" That was good fun and completed a delighful and engaging visit.... I visited this facility on at least two occasions. Both times I was impressed with the cleanliness of the facility and how spacious the individual rooms were. The activity room appeared to have an assortment of activities for the residents. There was also an enclosed courtyard where the residents could safely get some exercise and fresh air. We also dined there and the food was very good (as good as any restaurant).

Was visiting and found the facility to be very clean and all the employees were very caring of their residents. They also had activities which kept them engaged and smiling.. I would recommend this facility if one needs a place that will take great care of their family member.

I would say that it is a very safe environment for memory care. I've not observed the other piece of it. Memory care is very safe and I'm very happy with it. The staff is terrific, they are very good at listening and helping you feel better when things aren't going very well.
I would tell others that this was the best community that we could have picked. The location is close to family. The staff are very friendly, and accommodating in placing our loved one in the community. The community is on one level. This is a smaller community with around 30-40 residents at this time.

Response from Lone Mountain Memory Care
September 9, 2021Thank you for the great review of Lone Mountain Memory Care!
[name removed] and her staff did an outstanding job dealing with the unknowns of the pandemic. Simply said, they went all out to protect our loved ones in a crisis of unknown consequences. And they did it fighting excessive staff turnover, quarantine, and a general fear for their own health safety They ignored criticism pseudo demands to put the resident's safety first. Just an outstanding performance !

Response from Lone Mountain Memory Care
April 26, 2021Thank you, John, for the five-star review of Lone Mountain Memory Care. Our team has been doing a fantastic job, and we appreciate everything they do for our residents and their families!
There are so many assisted living and memory care facilities in Scottsdale. I was looking for a place for my mom 3 years ago. I visited several facilities and was getting quite frustrated. None of them seemed to be what I wanted for my mom. The last one on my list Lone Mountain Memory Care felt like home?? The staff was friendly, welcoming and professional. When my visit was over and I was walking out the door, the Director of Nursing came over and gave me a hug and thanked me for considering Lone Mountain. It’s been almost 4 years since the day my mom moved in. Along with my mom’s and my experience through these last 4 years, the information below will explain even more reasons why Lone Mountain Memory Care is a First Class Memory Facility. Diane P

Response from Lone Mountain Memory Care
April 26, 2021Thank you, Diane, for the great review of Lone Mountain Memory Care. We are happy to hear that your mom is enjoying the community and that it feels like home. Our team goes above and beyond to create an amazing experience for residents and their families, and we are happy to hear that is the case with you and your family. If there is anything we can assist with, please let us know.
The entire staff at Lone Mountain Memory Care have gone out of their way to accommodate my husband and me for over a year. While this was a tough decision and very heartbreaking experience having to put my husband at his young age into this facility, it was the best decision I've made thus far. There were so many emotional meetings I had with the Director, [name removed] where I was rocked by grief, guilt and sadness. She comforted me, referred me to others who experienced this same thing and never once made me feel like I was a burden. She showed empathy while maintaining professionalism. During the pandemic, they have protected my husband and always treated us both with respect, love and compassion! I still get a little emotional due to this huge change in our lives, but he is safe, taken care of properly and especially kept busy with activities! He is always kept active and since exercise and music are a huge part of of Lone Mountain's curriculum, my husband is happy, healthy and safe.

It was in early February of 2020 that my daughters and I came to the difficult decision to have my wife and their mother begin residency at Lone Mountain. We did a substantial amount of research on options. We have been extremely pleased with the care that Lone Mountain provides and better yet, our loved one really likes the environment and the caring staff Lone Mountain and staff have done a magnificent job during this difficult time of pandemic and as a family we are extremely grateful and appreciative!!!

April 22, 2021Thank you, Ceci!
The staff at this facility bring passion to their care everyday. They go above and beyond their job description. Especially during this challenging time we are presently under, the staff at Lone Mountain, not only have kept our loved one safe but bring reassurance to the family. On a weekly basis we have a set visit time over zoom and we can tell that he is healthy and happy. The staff share stories of activities, send pictures throughout the week, and make us feel like we are there, even though we are not. We recently saw him in person for the first time in 7 months with all safety precautions taken care of. We highly recommend this facility if it is needed for your family member.

Response from Lone Mountain Memory Care
November 9, 2020Thank you for sharing your families positive experience with us about Lone Mountain Memory Care!
My father has been a resident at Lone Mountain Memory Care for over a year. The facility has a lot of natural light. It is very clean and well maintained. We couldn't be happier with his care. The staff and management work hard to keep residents engaged and active. [names removed] have kept activities on going and safe through the Covid 19 crises. [name removed], the facility director, seems to run a tight ship and expects quality care and dignity for the residents. All of the care givers are kind and compassionate. They are willing to assist residents in any capacity, regardless of their job title. They treat residents like family. My father is happy and feels safe here and that means the world to me. I admit that it is pricey, especially considering we got him a larger suite, but the difference in my fathers demeanor since moving in truly justifies the cost.

My father has been to a number of facilities. Lone Mountain Memory Care is the best by far. If you are blessed enough to afford this type of care, the people are absolutely amazing. I can’t say enough for the personal care they give him.

August 25, 2020Hi Pete, we are very happy to have provided such a positive experience at Lone Mountain Memory Care! Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We appreciate it very much!
I have seen caring and attentive staff members spend time with Lone Mountain's residents; they know and care for each resident as an individual, and the staff and caregivers do their very best to provide a safe and loving environment in which to reside. Residents are comfortable and at ease, and it shows in their smiles and enthusiasm when participating in activities and gatherings.

As much as love as I know they provide to my family member every single day there I do feel some issues as no place will ever be perfect. My family member does not always change clothes every day which was on her list to provide. In addition, some times her bed is not made and bathroom cleaned until I ask for housekeeping. I love all the entertainment and activities but would love more variety especially on Sundays seems like a lull in events. Movies at night are not amazing so hoping they can get more musicals as so many residents love music. More outings would be nice as they look forward to them!

My mother is in her mid-90's and after several years of in-home care through an agency that specialized in dementia care, her condition deteriorated to a point that staying at home was no longer safe or practical. Fortunately, close by my house was a relatively new facility that specialized in memory care (Lone Mountain Memory Care). The facility was great with spacious private rooms and bright, airy common areas. I think the size and capacity of the home was just the right balance of scale to provide the desired range of services and activities, but small enough to ensure a personal relationship with each resident. Very important to my mother's care was the nursing availability available at Lone Mountain. My mother has been a resident for 8 months and except for the normal and expected adjustment issues has fared really well. No doubt in my mind that her stay at Lone Mountain Memory Care has extended her life. While others may have different personal circumstance and opinions regarding Lone Mountain Memory Care, having been experienced in a number of different dementia care giving situations including facilities and home care, I would without hesitation recommend Lone Mountain Memory Care for your loved ones. One final note. While personal turnover is unfortunately a part of this industry, Lone Mountain has maintained a core staff of dedicated and caring associates at all levels. Over the course of ten months, I have gotten to know most of them and very much appreciate their support and dedication to the residents and their families. It is not an easy job and for the most part they perform very, very will.

My husband resided at Lone Mountain Memory care for ten months before he passed away. The facility was beautiful with lots of light from the floor to ceiling windows, Everyone has a private room with a bath. The staff was exceptional, kind, funny and knowledgeable about dementia. I can not say enough good things about the staff. They welcomed him when he arrived and were with him when he passed away. They knew all of his likes and dislikes and talked to him every day. They are the kindest people on earth.

I wish I could give this place zero stars. They are sneaky, and negligent They used to be great and now things have gone way down hill. There are no RNs on staff. There is not enough staff. My Grandmother was in there. They did not shower her for 3 days and left her smelly and dirty. She fell and fractured her knee and they said nothing was wrong. We found out from the ER it was fractured for several weeks. They allowed her to drink out of a dirty, smelly rusted water bottle and just kept refilling it without washing it. People stole things from her room One of the aides was caught dragging her out of the dining area. She fell out of bed and no one knew for at least an hour and then they moved her not knowing if she had a broken neck or back and could have paralyzed her, said the EMTs moved her and then admitted they were the ones that moved her. When she got to the hospital she was anemic and very dehydrated. Please keep your loved ones away from here It isn't safe. If something happens they are sneaky and lie. When my Grandmother was taken to the hospital they sent people over and tried to get her records, which is against the law. Finding great care for a loved one with dementia is so hard. This is not one you should consider. Also be careful looking at some of the reviews on other sites like Google, as some are from their employees
