They're kind of a one stop shop for everything. While they have all the care options you might need, they are also a very large facility, so you have to deal with large facility problems. So they can move patients from one side to another in the building, from assisited living to memory care, and you lose track easily. For the most part the care has been good. Our tour experience

Leisure Park was a nice place. It was assisted living where you have your own individual little place - like a cottage. Meals weren't provided. I knew my loved one - if he had to make his own meals, he'd be having soup for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. But if you’re able to do your own cooking, it’s fine. It would be a great place for couples.

Thank for your review, but we wanted to make sure you left this for the correct senior living community. At Leisure Park we do not have individual cottages, and meals ARE included. Here you’ll find restaurant-style dining with healthy, nutritious, flavorful options created by a chef who excels in culinary marvels. If you have questions about our dining services or any aspect of our community please don't hesitate to reach out to the team here at Leisure Park -- and if this was accidentally left on our page and you've not visited us we certainly invite you to do so!

Highly recommend

We chose Leisure Park because it had good ratings, it was clean, and the people seemed more friendly and knowledgeable. They also had independent living apartments that were nicer and larger than other places we visited. The food here is good, they have a lot of variety and my dad loves it. My favorite part about the community is they are friendly and accommodating. I would recommend.

Our life at Lesiure Park

We chose Leisure park because my dad liked it, we liked the flexibility for transition to elder care if needed, the location, and the cost. The room sizes were fine. They did offer a wide variety of food. My favorite part about the community would be the ability for my father to interact with others and the social environment. I would recommend.

Well Taken Care Of

I've been to visit my sister, and she seems to be well taken care of. It appears her room is getting cleaned. They are starting to go back to activities. I would recommend it to friends. The room is decent and my sister seems satisfied with the room size.

Feel helpless

Since moving my mother to assisted I have received multiple calls daily from my mother complaining that her needs are not being met. I have called on her behalf and have had my concerns dismissed. I am looking for a new placement for her.

I think the staff has been very accommodating with my loved one and she has said multiple times how nice the staff is to her. They really do their best to meet the needs of my loved one as much as possible. While she doesn't participate super often, the staff has done a good job with encouraging to participate in the activities. They do birthday celebrations every month and take the residents on trips for off-community dinners. They also have outside activities available and have done well with trying to keep all the residents active. Considering the area that the community is in and how much the staff does, I do think they are a good value for the price. The food is give or take and right now because the community is on lock down as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, they have been bringing the residents their three meals a day to their rooms. They have really been trying their best!

Stay away

Do not put your loved one in this place!!! First of all its so dirty. They only have 3-4aides for 87 residents. Most residents in the. Assisted living have dementia and need a lot more care then they provide. My mom has been there for 1 year. They make her bed and don't change the sheets that are wet from the night before, they just pull the covers up. They never come to help get her ready in the morning or to help get her ready for bed. While I was there, the mead tech put an already used mask on my mom for her breathing treatments. The staff doesn't care about the residents but care about their social lives. I have witnessed residents screaming for help and the CNA s walk by and will say, not my problem! ! They only care about taking your money, not your loved ones!!!! The head nurse is so nasty to everyone.

Mrs Klein, I am the Executive Director and would would very much like to talk with you about your concerns. Assisted Living at Leisure Park is designed for seniors who desire residential living but require support with some activities of daily living, while in our separate Bridge to Rediscovery neighborhood we recognize the special needs of people with Alzheimer's disease and other memory disorders. In all parts of our community exceeding resident and family expectations is our goal every time. Since you feel we fell short of that I hope you are willing to have a discussion with me as we are always looking for ways to listen and improve. Please contact me at the community at your convenience. Thank you for your consideration.

Smooth Transition

I investigated and toured many Senior communities in the area and chose Leisure Park for many reasons. Professionalism and friendliness of the staff, value, numerous activities, but a major reason was the ability for them to transition from "independent" to "assisted" to "skilled nursing" as they continued to age. Sadly this transition was necessary but for the most part it was seamless. No one likes change but the staff made it as smooth as possible for them. Thank you.

Leisure Park Assited Living- Poor Choice

I would not give the Assisted Living more than one star for this facility. Please do your research before you place your loved one in the Assited Living area. It is a glorified nursing home. They are short staff often that tells me something is not right if their employees are not happy. This refelects on our family members quality of life. No matter weekday weekend residents are just lined up along the wall waiting for the next meal. Activities try their best with little support they are given from Leisure Park. Don't bother voicing your concerns to Administration it goes in one ear out the other. Nursing does the best they can, but some of the aides need to be retrained for care. Again review all options do not rely on a simple tour. When we toured they had a beautiful courtyard avaialbe, now used as construction storage really???? Pay for some outside storage units, now the residents who have mobility issues cant even enjoy the outside. does Leisure Park's corporation approve of this lifestyle I guess so.

KEEP LOOKING IF YOU LOVE YOUR PARENTS

When looking for an elderly care facility for your loved one do your homework, which I did not. Seeing a five star rating does not always mean you are getting five star service, especially when it comes to Leisure Park. The only thing that was five star was the nursing staff was five star. Some of the issues were due to the understaffing of aides and dining room staff which is my biggest issue with this facility. Due to lack of staff when it came to personal hygiene and dining assistance the waits were unreasonable. I addressed this with [name removed], administrator (no stars for him)! We were advised he would look into the matter, a month later and no change. When trying to contact him by phone on many occasions NO return calls which led to another visit. At this time his answer was, I was meaning to call you back. When questioned on staffing vs. residents he was unsure and advised he would have to look into it (really???). I also inquired about his interaction with the residents and their needs because he was never seen while visiting (which I did on an almost daily basis). I was told that the conversation was over and that he felt I was verbally attacking him. The meeting was less than 10 minutes and I thought he must have been joking, but he was not. Now this was an administrator and professional (LMAO). In my opinion his back was to the wall and because he did not have answers he ended the meeting. Being I was not getting anywhere I was forced to contact the corporate offices. I spoke to [name removed] who listened to all my concerns, but I never heard from her again! Leisure Park facilities were not well kept, my mothers room and bathroom were not cleaned to my standards. Part two: My father was in the skilled nursing unit DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT if you need to place a loved one in this kind of care. His room was not clean, I found him laying in his own feces and he was always dressed in a hospital gown even though his personal clothing was available. When I confronted the administration on this again the same answer, not enough help. While paying top dollar for a five star facility and treatment for my beloved parents but in my opinion they didn't even receive one star treatment. After my fathers passing my mother was hospitalized and as a family we made the decision to move her out of Leisure Park. To date the new facility has opened our eyes even more to the disgraceful treatment that my parents received. MY ADVISE LOOK ELSEWHERE FOR THOSE YOU LOVE!

Another week of peace

Hello [name removed],. Just want to say that another week has gone bye and dad is safe, clean, and comfortable, thanks to you and your amazing staff. Every trip I leave with the same feeling that it could be soooo much worse if not for your caring staff. Believe me, I know they can't be clean and dry every second of the day but your staff have gone above and beyond anything I ever imagined. I will never have 1 second of second guessing when thinking back about the decision to come to your amazing place. I know you can't save them but you sure do a great job of making it tolerable, at least for my family. And his room was so clean!! I know he can't do much but so happy just the same. Again, my most gracious thank you!!!

Home Sweet Home

Leisure Park is truly a warm loving home. Moved my 93 year old aunt here two months ago. She is happier than I have seen her in years. She is eating better and getting exercise that has vastly improved her circulation. The staff is amazing, caring and efficient. Her apartment is roomy modern and clean. They even let us have a big family party in a private room! [name removed] and [name removed] are blessings from heaven for the residents-each treated like family! Thank you Leisure Park for letting me sleep better at night knowing my dear aunt is safe and happy!

Mom has improved greatly

We moved our mother up to NJ to be closer to us. She was nervous about all of the changes that were taking place, but now after a stint in rehab, she is adjusting nicely to her new home in Assisted Living. She has made a great deal of progress with her overall health, is making friends, loves Bingo, and is looking forward to being able to head out for some of the shuttle trips. We are very happy that we found a place for her at Leisure Park. Thanks for everything.

my dad was a resident at leisure park for nearly 3 years he was very happy for the little time he was there. The staff was excellent they were friendly professional and very accommodating. [name removed] and [name removed] were always available for any problems that arose. There is no perfect scenario when a loved one has to be placed in a facility but they are pretty close to perfect in my book. Dad has since passed away and he always had the highest regard for all who worked there. Thank you all for a difficult situation made easy.

Things are getting better...

My loved one is getting better and adjusting to all of the changes since moving into the Leisure Park. The staff check on her all of the time and they are very nice people, but I wish they had a social worker or something to help guide through the process because we just recently found out they have a counseling service. Other than that, things are progressing and I will be updating my review once she has been there a couple more months.
