Very happy we made the move.\n\nMy mother-in-law was hesitant to move because she felt she was fine in a apartment by herself however we noticed she just sat and watched tv and had no interaction besides us. Moving her to Lafreinere has been such a blessing! She is safe in her own apartment but just outside her door trained personnel are there if she needs anything. In the state of Louisiana, these terms are defined as follows:</p> <h3>Adult Residential Care</h3> <p>Adult residential care refers to facilities that provide adult residential care for compensation to two or more adults. Adult residential care includes but is not limited to the following services: lodging, meals, medication administration, intermittent nursing services, assistance with personal hygiene, assistance with transfers and ambulation, assistance with dressing, housekeeping, and laundry. There are four levels of adult residential care:</p> <p><strong>Level 1 (Personal Care Homes):</strong> Provides adult residential care to two but not more than eight residents in a setting that is designed similarly to a single-family dwelling<br> <strong>Level 2 (Shelter Care Homes):</strong> Provides adult residential care to nine or more residents but no more than 16 in a congregate setting that does not provide independent apartments equipped with kitchenettes<br> <strong>Level 3 (Assisted Living Facilities):</strong> Provides adult residential care to 17 or more residents in independent apartments equipped with kitchenettes.<br> <strong>Level 4 (Adult Residential Care Provider):</strong> Provides adult residential care including intermittent nursing services to 17 or more residents in independent apartments equipped with kitchenettes.</p>
