Overall, the food and food service was in my opinion below a (1). The food was delivered late, cold, small quantities, and did not taste good as we came and ate with him frequently. However when he first got there the food was pretty good and unfortunately during his stay, they must have gone through over 6-7 cooks The turnover was so high, which made the level of care drop drastically in all areas.
As far as his care, he was at almost the highest level, paying over [amount removed] a month, and did not receive many of the services he paid for. He fell at least 10 times while he was there and the last time he fell was due to no one coming to get him for his meal, so he attempted to go on his own and fell and ended up in the hospital for a week. That was when we moved him out. Another bad moment, was when one of the workers came in when my dad pressed his button and I was standing by the door and she didn't see that I was there. The first thing she said to him in a very loud voice was, "Now what do you want". I was appalled by her demeanor and the way she spoke to my dad. I did report her, but they never took action. So overall Arcadia really sucked for my dad and I would never recommend a loved one going there.
The facility itself was very nice and the rooms were very nice. Maybe they need new management, but overall it was not a good experience.
