Everyone is very nice and friendly. They are quick to fix any problems that arise. When we moved in the hot water in the bathroom didn't work and the frig didn't work and they fixed it in one day. Very nice people. It is expensive, but we really like the place. The size of the apartments are very reasonable with a lot of closet space.... Read more

Response from Holiday Oxmoor Lodge
June 29, 2023Your kind compliments mean the world to our team. It is our pleasure to serve our residents at Holiday Oxmoor Lodge each and every day. Thanks for sharing your experience!
Basically they are weak on care, can't provide service reliably. Meals not too tasty, not a lot of activities. I was in a rush and they had specials running at the time. It was randomly done. The staff was friendly.

My experience with this facility has been good so far. I'm still adjusting and getting comfortable here, but the staff has been very helpful. They're good about noticing when things bother me and working with me to make changes as needed. They're very concerned and friendly. Housekeeping is almost always available and will come and clean when I ask them to. The food is pretty good. The activities are nice. We have a good variety and there's something going on everyday. Communication with the family is good also. I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

I toured this community twice, once by myself and once with my loved one. They changed the price and tried to use a hard sell tactic of you need to sign up now before the price goes up even more....that was a big turn off.
Response from Holiday Oxmoor Lodge
February 6, 2023Thank you for reaching out. We set a high standard serving senior adults with integrity, and I’m sorry your experience missed that mark. I've shared your comments with the Regional Vice President and Divisional Sales Director so they can look into this situation. If you’d like to tell us more about your experience, please email us at CustomerService@AtriaSeniorLiving.com.
Our family had an in person tour and the lady who met with us answered all of our questions and addressed other issues I needed to be concerned about as mom moved into a new phase of like. I really liked Oxmoor as it is an independent living facility and mom liked the idea of continued independence but her rapidly declining health didn't afford us the opportunity of there services .
All of the staff have been super friendly so far, and it is a nice community but there could be some improvements. We have had a couple issues here and there but they are working on ironing them out. The meals and dining service is so so, that is one thing that could be improved. However I do really enjoy living here, I really like my cottage which is separate from the main building.

Some of the stuff going on is just them trying to recover from covid. They are very understaffed and it takes forever for the residents to get their food. She has seen a change in the food in the past week. The staff that are here are wonderful. there are just not enough of them. They also do not have the amenities right now that they would normally have. I think more communication with the new residents and families would be helpful, maybe an orientation in the beginning.

The staff is wonderful and sensitive to the needs of senior residents. They are polite and provide many activities. The residents are pleasant. Food is good and there is a variety of options. Rooms are cleaned on a regular basis.
I am having the time of my life here.
Been here 5 years, very happy here.
I've lived here for awhile and everyone is great. Employees are kind and caring. Other residents are pleasant to be with and interact.
Oxmoor Lodge is a great facility, this actually would have been our first choice. Unfortunately my dad needed more care than they were able to provide. They do not allow on site care right now due to the employment status and he needed medication management. It looks like a great place but could also use some updates.
Good community, not as many activities offered here.
The location is very convenient for us, we also really like the size of the community. The friendliness, kindness and helpfulness of the staff members there really stood out to us right away.

The new manager here is very experienced, nice and extremely hard working. The cleanliness has been a little bit of an issue just with the covid staffing issues but doing their absolute best given the circumstances and sometimes the meals are a hit or miss. We do get three different options with dinner, but breakfast occasionally is the same with maybe a few different changes here and there. The residents here make sure activities going on, I always make sure to have movies playing in the movie theater at night

Oxmoor Lodge was our first choice because of the location as well as the friendly staff and accommodations they were able to make for us. The apartment sizes here are very nice. It is a beautiful facility and we really liked the layout and atmosphere. The dining room is nice and spacious and very clean. We would definitely recommend them to others.

My loved one stayed here for about a year. I loved it and thought it was great. My loved one wasn't as much of a fan, but she can be pretty cantankerous and likes to go against what we as her family like. She got upset pre-Covid when they wouldn’t deliver her meals to her room. I was pushing for her to go the dining room and interact with people anyway. I didn’t see anything wrong with Oxmoor. I liked that she had her own little 900 square foot cottage all to herself. It wasn’t apartment style living, which she didn't want either, where she would hear her neighbors above or below. It’s semi-detached, so she got her privacy. It was also very affordable. The reason we had to move her is they were solely independent living and didn’t offer the medical care type of assistance she ended up needing.

A Place for Mom has scored Holiday Oxmoor Lodge 9.5 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
