A Great Living Experience
First impression when I walked through the door, it was clean very open did not look like an assisted-living situation. The staff were wonderful. The apartments were great.

Excellent place to put your loved ones
My dad went down hill fast. We needed to get them into assisted living Fast. We had looked at a few last year just to see what was out there. Nothing came close to Hickory Park. My parents love it and the food is excellent. My parents and I would recommend this place to everyone. [name removed] was the best and took a lot of stress off our plate.

Tour of Hickory Park
I toured Hickory Park Senior Living and I liked it. It was a good tour, but it wasn't a good fit for us. My husband is in mild dementia and because of that, they felt they couldn't take him.

My Tour Experience at Hickory Park Senior Living
This was a nice community. They didn't have any bathtubs in the community, and my loved one wanted one. Also, the resident may have to move to a new apartment for continued care within the community.

I chose Hickory Park because of the overall feel of the facility It is extremely clean, everyone is friendly, and once I moved in all of that remains to be true. The area is convenient to a lot things as well. The staff are marvelous. If you are looking for a place where everyone is friendly, helpful and interested in how you are, then this is the place for you. I would definitely recommend them to others looking.

A hidden Treasure
From the caregiver point of view I so appreciate the care to my loved one as well as to my family to make sure that we were comfortable with our loved one living there. They took a lot of time and sat and worked out the details and they took a lot of time showing us how it would work. Without that conversation I feel it would have been hard to figure out care for my loved one.

Hickory Park Assisted Living in Greenfield
Hickory Park is a wonderful building and a caring staff. It is nicely updated, clean, bright, and smells great. It's an ideal fit for an elderly person who will require light assisted living. Everyone is very nice and tries their best to accommodate residents. Their hearts are in the right place! In my opinion, its a more independent lifestyle with very nice rooms and on-site amenities. We had a few major issues with medications not arriving upon Mom's arrival to HP. Few months later an important prescription did not get refilled on time which sent Mom to the hospital for two weeks. Disappointed no communication given to our family about the status of Mom's refill. Mom fell thru the cracks. Must stay on top of medications always.
They have a few outstanding health aides and few that need more training.
The food at Hickory Park on Scale of 1-10 is maybe a 2. It's not appealing and does not taste very good. 50% of the time some part of meal not warm any longer.
No place is perfect but Hickory Park Management does a very good job. They do care about their residents and know them. For someone much older with more declining health or nursing needs this would not be the best fit.

What a hidden gem!
We are so grateful to have found Hickory Park. My mom has been here for almost six months and loves it. The staff here are just wonderful and truly care about my mom.
It’s a wonderful mix of privacy in your own apartment and plenty of opportunity to mingle with the other residents for meals and fun activities. Mom is truly thriving here.

A wonderful place to be
This is such a wonderful place to live! It's welcoming and friendly. We love to play sheep's head together and I just love the Bingo. It's a fun, fun place to be! I just love it here!

Mom really liked the feel of a smaller community, she didn't feel as overwhelmed as with some of the larger complexes. She was concerned about the limited amount of square footage in the units. She wasn't sure if she could make the transition.

Very inviting and comfortable
My aunt lives here currently and I think things are going very well. She likes the way she’s being treated. The staff has been very good, we haven’t really had any issues. She likes the food and there seem to be plenty of options to choose from. They have a few activities like bingo, games, and movie nights. They also show the Packers games! During the holidays they had tons of parties and they’ll typically throw events for whatever season it is. The building itself is very nice and outstanding. It appears, to me, as a five star hotel more so than a retirement center. It’s very inviting and comfortable. They’re able to give her the specific care she needs while still feeling like home. I would absolutely recommend this place.

The kitchen does not have a stove. This is a location that includes meals in the base price and therefore is not right for my mom who likes to cook. If you are looking for meals, this may be a good choice.

Spacious but not TOO big
We chose this community for my mom because it was close to my house, but mainly mom liked that the facility wasn’t too big. The apartments are spacious but everything is close enough together so that she doesn’t have to walk long distances and she loves that she can keep all of her own things with her. She hasn’t been there long but so far I’m happy with the staff there and she really loves the food. It’s actually one of the biggest things for her. They have a decent menu and there seem to be a lot of different options to choose from. The facility itself is very clean and they do laundry once a week. I’m not sure how often they take out the trash but the trash cans are always empty whenever I come around. They have a lot of different activities to participate in; even when we first moved my mom in, they were having an Oktoberfest with a huge buffet and music. I would definitely recommend it here, my husband even asks about when he can move in!

Great Community, Wonderful Staff
Hickory Park is an excellent community. The staff and the way they took care of us from our first encounter there when we toured until my father’s passing, they met us with dignity, attentiveness, and caring. My father really liked that they spoke to him, not over him to me instead. They acknowledged that he was making the decision to live there as well. The community itself is clean and well maintained, and my father really liked that he was able to change his own room temperature, as he was always feeling cold. The floor plans were large, open, and bright. He was always very excited about the food and the many options at mealtimes, and couldn’t wait to have guests so he could share the experience. There were many activities at the community to bring the residents together, all of whom were very friendly. I liked that there was also a nurse on call at night, so if there were any issues, I was relieved to know that help was close by. Hickory Park was wonderful to us, and I would recommend the community to others.
