The staff makes her feel really welcome and at home. She constantly says you picked such a good place for me. This was the most affordable place that was the nicest. It was surprising to me how affordable it was. I feel like there is a trade off with the services that are offered. I think they could have more brain engaging activities rather than just having social hours. I feel if she had more types of mental stimulating activities that she would have improved quicker. They recently transitioned to Gardens from Atria and it was not communicated well to the families, I think communication is something that could be improved. The people who interact with her are very sweet. The executive director seems cool and she is trying to run with the new transition. The facility is really small, so if your family member would be overwhelmed by a large facility, this would be a good cozy place for them. There is limited outside space but it is all well cared for. It is immaculately clean and the person who does the maintenance is super sweet.... Read more

May 20, 2022We're glad you had such a wonderful experience with us! Thanks for taking the time to leave us a positive review. We hope you have a great day!
My grandmother just moved in and I was pleasantly surprised by how kind and friendly all of the staff was. The food was great and the building was very nice. (:
Coming from a traditional home we were skeptical of using assisted living for my grandmother. But with everyone working and taking care of the children it become harder to make sure her needs were met. Luckily the Gardens have proven very capable of making sure she is comfortable and her needs met. Staff is very kind and patient, haven't had a single complaint and for the price it's worth it. Definitely put my and my family's mind as ease having her here.

May 13, 2022Your recommendation means so much to us and we're so happy to have earned it. Thank you for taking the time to share your positive experience. Have a great day!
Just stopped by to visit my aunt for a bit and I was very impressed by how lively the atmosphere was! All the staff I encountered were very helpful in pointing me in the right direction and seemed happy to help. I thought the place also smelled lovely!
We had a really good tour experience with Gardens at Escondido. The only reason we did not choose this facility was because it was a very large place that was spread out which would require a lot of walking.

March 9, 2022Thank you for sharing your positive experience at the Gardens at Escondido! We hope you have a wonderful day.
We did have a lot of problems with the care just because of the lack of staff, the staff that they did have were great though. I did not feel he got the care that my loved one got the care that they should have had. I found the maintenance staff and housekeeping staff exceptional. All departments were understaffed which I would say is an administrative issue.

My dad went to Atria from another retirement home. His care from the medical staff at Atria has been outstanding. The other place didn't give him the care he needed.

January 28, 2022We strive for 100% satisfaction, and it is great to see you have had such a positive experience at Gardens at Escondido. Thank you for taking the time to leave us a wonderful review. Take care!
From what we were we able to see of the community it was very clean, and based off the menu we saw the food looked to be pretty good. We do believe just based off the schedule and calendar they had plenty of activities to offer. Overall for what they offered and the price that we paid we do think the value was good, and if our loved one was just a little more pleasant and more involved we really think they would of enjoyed their time.

January 28, 2022Thank you so much for the positive review. If there's anything further we can do for you, we are happy to help!
The staff members would be a five plus, and the food looks good and good portions. They did their best with the activities, they got IPads so we could talk to our loved ones when they were locked down. Once we could go visits they would set up outside areas. When they had to quarantine they would play bingo on the IPads, so they got very creative.

January 29, 2022Thank you again for taking the time to let us know how we did. We look forward to your next visit! Take care!
the staff at the community is outstanding, the care they provide is second to none, and the compassion they provide the families is wonderful. The room sizes are smaller than others but they are enough, and she loved the food. I would recommend this community to others.
The community was overall very clean. The staff was good, however sometimes availability was in question. Overall, the care was good. The only thing we thought needed improvement were the laundry services. They always had activities available for residents. The price for this community was ok overall.
Beautiful facility and everyone was very personable and kind to the residents. Probably will look closer to my home for convenience of care.
The building small and quaint. It is easy to navigate. The staff is very friendly and professional. Feel like a little hotel. Residents are open and friendly.
Really enjoyed our tour. Beautiful facilities. Didn't take long to decide to move Mom in.
Staff was very friendly and had a very small family vibe. Bright and higher ceilings. Very clean. Not much outdoor space. Very small @80 residents. No gym or pool. Need to find out how much for 1 bedroom. No kitchen in room. personal care add'l cost. Food brought to room additional cost. licensed memory care facility. Worried about mom being challenged and connecting with the older population.

[Removed] was a nice gentleman that gave me the tour and he answered all of my questions. The property was small. The location wasn't ideal, there were lots of broken down cars on the street where they were located. Didn't feel very welcoming to me. I wouldn't feel safe leaving my mom here.
Really enjoyed my tour, people friendly, place bright and welcoming, my tour guide was very helpful in our conversation. Residents seem to really enjoy it. Unfortunately outside of our price range with the level care he would need.
The staff did a very nice job in showing us around and they took their time doing so as well as answering our questions. This is a very nice community that offers a lot to their residents but we felt the room sizes were not what we wanted for our mother.
Atria North Escondido was a really nice tour. The staff was very friendly and answered all of our questions. It offers a nice quiet atmosphere. We had the opportunity to dine there and the cook is very proud of the meals presented. They even had us take home some of the homemade muffins. It is a great location, close to the YMCA. We chose another location because my mom really wanted a kitchen.
Atria was very nice. The food looked good too! We decided other options because the layout of the room isn't what we were looking for.
