Morning Star Manor offers professional assisted living in Pen Argyle, Pennsylvania. This suburb of Allentown is quaint and familiar. However, there’s more to this area than rolling green hills and pleasant main streets. Most people are familiar with Pen Argyle as the last town they visit before embarking on the famous Appalachian Trail.
Morning Star Manor is housed within a historic small-town hospital, which was founded in 1933. The assisted living home opened in the same building in 1993 and has been providing seniors and their families with excellent care ever since. Seniors live in private and semi-private rooms, as well as multiple indoor and outdoor community areas.
The staff functions under a philosophy of freedom and dignity. Residents receive the care they need to retain as much freedom and dignity as possible. Staff is on-site 24/7, and the building is outfitted with technology to maximize the safety of all the residents, including hallway sensors, non-stick floors, and handrails. Health professionals make regular, scheduled visits, and the staff is more than happy to help residents stay on top of their health needs. All seniors receive assistance with those everyday tasks that may be increasingly difficult, such as grooming, bathing, and dressing.

A Place for Mom has scored Gap View Personal Care Home, Inc 1 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
