My family was unable to dine with my mom because of Covid. She had memory problems so she couldn't tell me what the dining room was like. I only saw the food when it was delivered to her room when she had Covid and it looked OKAY. She said it was good. The care was very good but it could be better in the assisted living.... Read more

Our family had an in person tour experience with Escalante at Coventry and overall we thought the tour experience was good but the rooms we were shown were just to small for our loved one and therefore was not going to be a good ft.

Friendly professional staff. This is a small community with individual support and care. Facilities are dated but in good repair. Only area of concern is with the variety of meals. Kind of school lunch type meals with minimal fresh vegetables.

It's very clean. The food is very good. We picked this community because I liked the feel of it, and they were very good, and fair priced. It's been a very good experience. Overall, I would recommend to other families.

We toured this community and it was wonderful. Cleanliness and friendliness were good. The only thing that didn't fit our needs were the activities, we were looking for more of a variety of those for our loved one.
This is a good community overall. I would recommend the food in the memory care area be improved, as it arrives cold and the taste isn't the best. If your loved one would be in the assisted living area there are no activities and the food needs to be improved as well.

Escalante bought coventry a little over six months ago and has completely destroyed what was a nice community. Staff are quitting in droves. THey dining room no longer complies with state law or nutrition requirements. Management and every level fails to return calls, follow through with promises and clearly doesn't care. When discussing our concerns with one high level administrator we were told "call the state if you feel you need to". The only reason my family member is still there is she has friends and a few care givers that she is genuitely connected to. THis company is publicly traded and for profit and it shows - they only thing guiding them is the $$.

If it wasn't for my mom getting Covid I would rate Coventry a 5 for care. My mom had dementia and didn't know how sick she was. The staff said they would check her vitals often. A week after she got sick my daughter used the gadget on my mom's finger and her oxygen level was 72 so we took her to the hospital. Also because of Covid no visitors were allowed to eat in the dining room and my mom never could remember what she ate because of her dementia so I don't know if the food was good. They did bring her meals to her while she was sick but she wasn't eating anything. I wish the staff did better to communicate with me when my mom was sick. I will tell my friends that Coventry was a good place for mom.

We chose The Wentworth at Coventry because of the great location for our family and the price for the amount of care provided was great. During the week the care is really good, but over the weekends they are very short staffed and have to bring in an agency, so staff were not as well equipped to handle the residents. This was our first experience with assisted living and I was pleasantly surprised and I think they do a fine job. I would definitely recommend to other families with the caveat about the weekend care.

There are so many positive things I can say about the Coventry! When you first walk in there is a very cozy, homey feel and the staff is so kind and welcoming with a smile. I love the convenient location, nestled in the heart of the neighborhood - close to shopping and amenities but yet still feels secluded and private. The best part is the apartments, they are charming and feel open and spacious. When the weather is warm we love to visit with my grandfather in the beautiful outdoor areas and patios.

Regarding the lower level Alzheimer unit: Anybody Home? This place is deserted! They only allow patients to be in the main TV / eating area or in their rooms. They do not let their Alzheimer patients wonder. My mom was here and she wonders and roams and gets into things, that's why we wanted her to stay in a place that could handle someone with Alzheimer's. This facility can only handle people who are not able to move around much, people in a wheel chair or comatose! If your loved one can stand and walk around, or gets into things, I would recommend Silverado in Holladay. The staff at Coventry are nice and the place is beautiful and has codes for access, but they are just not able to really handle young spry Alzheimer's patients! The day I was there with my mom, I had to stop her from going into offices and getting into the medical medicine room. I was only there an hour and she was into everything!!! I SERIOUSLY was concerned what was happening when I wasn't there!!! They really should have a 1/2 door on the medicine / nurse room to stop people from entering it or other places they don't want people to go!!! They obviously don't understand you can't negotiate with people with Alzheimer, you have to keep them out with 1/2 doors. Even in the office there was paperwork all over and my mom got into everything! The office should be closed or have 1/2 doors!!! You can't tell someone with Alzheimer's to stay out, or tell them what to do, you can only guide or re-direct!!! This facility really needs to have someone go take a look at Silverado, they need to copy exactly what they do and how they handle their patients!!! PRO Clean New building Large spacious rooms Nice staff OK food CONS Not able to handle active Alzheimer's patients Staff need more training on dealing with Alzheimer's No half doors No good geriatric activities No furniture- you have to move it all in and out Hidden fees

My mother was a resident in the assisted-living for 2.5 years. In that time, I can’t say enough good about how amazing the entire staff has been. They are saints, Julie and Teresa in particular! They have cared for, and loved Mom as if she were their own family and as far as the care and activities are concerned, this is a wonderful place. Two huge thumbs up. However, the same can’t be said for the administrators. The assisted-living facility has had 4 different directors in the time Mom was there. The first one was fantastic but his successors have left much to be desired. They have either been invisible or have gone out of their way to be distant and un-involved with their residents. The man who was in charge, as of the date of this review, was as welcoming as a barbed-wire fence and a major factor in the decision to move. I was told that he was temporary but for how long was unknown. While the staff is fantastic and work their tails off, when considering Coventry Assisted-Living, I would pay particular attention to who is currently in charge because the situation in the director's office has been pretty unstable and cold. If you feel good about that individual, the rest speaks for itself.

Very happy with Coventry. Placed my 94 year old mother approximately 6 weeks ago and she is having a ball! The care is excellent and the programs offered are very well planned and accommodating. The family does not have to worry anymore about her meals, her welfare, or her happiness.

They have been going through an ownership change, and it's still going through the transition. I'm not happy with the food. They don't have a lot of variety in their menu, they don't have a lot of options. A lot of other places offer two entrees, they offer one and an alternative menu, their alternative options aren't very health conscious. A lot of grilled cheese and french fries, hamburgers, hot dogs, fried greasy foods, a lot of times there is only a red meat option. The new owners have improved the quality a little but not the variety. There are two buildings with three floors in the independent building. and they just decided to make the bottom floor a memory care unit. The common areas in the bottom are going to be going away, they haven't yet, but soon there will be less common areas for people to use. They really do have a nice floor plan, it was the best floor plan for the money. However, I felt that she could get more at other places for less money.

Overall, I am impressed with Coventry. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and accommodating to both family members and guests. It is an independent living setting, but any care services needed were provided. The community is very clean, with a member of the cleaning staff coming to the apartment once a week. Food is not necessarily the best, but there is a wide range of activities for residents. My experience with Coventry has been great so far!
