All Carillon cares about is money. It is NOT a safe or caring place for your loved one! Over a third of their rooms consistently remain vacant, their facility is need of substantial repairs, they can’t keep staff and the care for the residents is shameful. My father was a resident at Carillon and here was our experience. - The Medication Technicians consistently struggled to accurately dispense medications. There were several times I asked what they were giving and how much and the doses and timing were wrong. - Communication between Dad’s doctors and staff at Carillon was sloppy. Changes to his medications often didn’t occur until days/weeks after he had been to the doctor. - Communication with family members was poor. My calls/voicemails were either never returned or returned weeks later. - The transportation service to doctor appointments was terrible. Most appointments had to be cancelled or rescheduled due to staff not showing up or vehicles breaking down. - The onsite laundry service lost Dad’s personal items which were never found/returned. The things that were returned often did not belong to him. - The building has several maintenance issues that prevent residents from using services included in their rent. - The last month my Dad was there, a water line broke and he did not have running water for two weeks. He was not able to shower, have clean clothes and the entire facility ate sandwiches off of paper plates. - My father was in the hospital the last six weeks we paid rent and they still demanded he pay an outrageous move out fee of $350.00. - The staffing turnover is unbelievable. People are constantly quitting and every week there was a new group being hired and/or on boarded. Do not subject anyone you care about to this environment and don’t be fooled by their brochures or salesmanship. They smile in your face, take your money and see residents only as a dollar sign.Reviewed on SeniorAdvisor.com
