Very Pleased
I’ve had a client that lived at EastCastle Place for the over 10 yrs. It was a home away from home for the couple. They were able to be social and active. Staff was very hands on. Facility is very clean. The building is very beautiful. I would definitely recommend! It’s a 10 out of 10!

Very Pleased

A wonderful place to live!
Eastcastle Place is well run, clean, and has good meals.
You do have to kind of find your own activities and friends. There aren't a lot of group gatherings or games. It's hard to tell if that's related to Covid, or if its always that way. Communication between the community and our family is good, but could be better. They could be a bit more clear on what they have and what's going on. My mom has a hard time finding her way sometimes. I know they're trying to instill different forms of communication with us, but it could use some improvement. She is in independent living, so maybe I'm asking for a bit much since she's not in assisted living.
Overall I would definitely recommend Eastcastle Place to others.

Excellence
I'm happy to share my honest opinion of your team's well-deserved excellent care. My family has only enjoyed the short term care in Bradford Terrace, so I haven't been in the castle-like Protestant Home. It's fascinating! And I'm sure its longevity is a credit to the generations of people like you, who have maintained exceptional care within.
My mom is on the 5th floor in Bradford Terrace. All of her carers have struck me as wonderful people, and their energy inspires me. I want to mention Noah, one of her CNA's, as a phenomenal human being, a standout on a team of great folks. I go home very night genuinely comforted to know that he is doing what has long been 'my' job at home. Mom has asked for substitute meals quite a few times, and [name removed] is so cheerful with her! It's an extra errand, but he treats it as a chance to make sure she enjoys dinner. What more could a kid want for his mom? We are very happy, and thank you for your kind reply.

Outstanding Community with Incredibly Talented Caring Professionals
EASTCASTLE PLACE exceeded my expectations. [name removed] rehab visit and therapy program was first-rate. [name removed] later moved to a beautiful sunlit apartment in the memory care community which went seamlessly. The Community Liaison, Admissions Coordinator, with the rest of the team did an impeccable job for [name removed]. [name removed] apartment was clean, and the laundry service was a blessing. [name removed] enjoyed the dinning and was provided with delicious options. [name removed] would smile and tell me, “the food here is wonderful, you get so much”. [name removed]always looked refreshed, and her hair was always brushed. The entire staff was very attentive. [name removed] truly enjoyed her home at the CASTLE as she called it. I sincerely thank all of you for your excellent customer service. The confidence in knowing my loved one was in great hands receiving the best care possible is an awesome feeling. I highly recommend EASTCASTLE PLACE.

Memory Care at Eastcastle Place
We have been quite please with the quality of care my elderly aunt who suffers from dementia has received in the five months she's resided at Eastcastle Place.
I am particularly happy with how they keep the residents engaged throughout the day rather than just leaving them alone in their rooms.
While I haven't sampled the food that is served to the residents it all looks well prepared and smells very good.
My aunt's apartment is quite nice and kept very clean.
The staff is quite friendly and eager to help. We are very pleased with all the staff members we've interacted with during our visits.
I would recommend Eastcastle Memory Care to others who might find themselves in a similar situation with their loved ones.

So happy to be here.
My husband and I just celebrated our third year of living here at Eastcastle Place, and we’ve been so pleased. Moving here was one of the best decisions we’ve made. I can’t think of a better place to be, especially at a time like right now. The staff here have been so wonderful and accommodating. Our family members are so happy that we are here as well – they know we’re in a safe place and they do not worry about us!

The room was very small in rehab - if the bathroom door was open you couldn’t use the recliner and vice versa when the recliner was open you couldn’t open the bathroom door. Same with the closet door and the room door. The cooling/heating system was broken and continued to be broken though the service man was called multiple times, the nursing staff was unable to meet medication times and the staff did not bathe the patient as was ordered.
The dining room for residents was continually empty when we went to visit the Bistro to purchase a light meal. Inquiries with residents provided reviews that the food is terrible in the beautiful dining room.
Therapy and therapists were excellent.
Common areas are opulently decorated. Gorgeous property.

Nothing But Good Things To Say
My mother is doing well since her move to this community. I do feel she is safe, and in good hands. They have a wonderful staff, and they have been very helpful, and accommodating. They were very helpful in the adjustment process, and have been very welcoming to us. The community is very well-kept, everything is always clean when I visit. I have nothing but positive things to say about this community, and I would recommend it.

Just what we needed!
They are really very. very good with my mom. They offer a lot of activities, but mom has not gotten into them yet. The food is good and enough portions. The community and her room is always clean never a problem. They are close to me and they provide the right amount of care for mom.

Nice Staff!!
I had an appointment to tour the community Eastcastle Place. The tour guide that normally is there was absent that day and another person gave me the tour. The person that was substituting the tour guide was very accommodating and apologetic. She tried to do her best. It would have been good if the community would have just re-scheduled that tour so i could have had a proper tour of the community. From what i did see the place was clean and safe.

Assisted living portion seems very small
My opinions on Eastcastle Place are somewhat mixed, so far. The facility itself seems well kept and clean. However, my loved one is in the assisted living portion, and it seems very small. There aren't many other residents or caregivers on hand. I'm just not sure yet it is somewhere she will be comfortable long term.

[My loved one] stayed for a week in respite care and thoroughly enjoyed her stay. She had previously spent six weeks in rehab at East Castle following two weeks in patient at St. Mary's and received very good care. Thank you.

Mom's Experience
So far so good - Love the place. Mom was very scared initially. Since her husband of 72 years passed in April she is lost without him. She has Alzheimers, but appears to be settling in. For the price I would strongly recommend Eastcastle. Everyone has been courteous and helpful

From the first phone call to Rosemary at Eastcastle until my mother moved in our experiences have been beyond our expectations. On our first tour we were both impressed by how clean everything was and how friendly and welcoming everyone was toward us. Since my mother moved in she has been so busy with all of the activities that she hasn't needed to venture out much at all. She and her cat absolutely love their apartment. The head nurse MaryLou was very informative when she did her initial evaluation of my mother at my home. She is highly educated on senior medical needs and put both of us at ease with my mothers' concerns on her medical issues. Both Rosemary and Marylou stopped by my mom's apartment within hours of her move-in and welcomed her. I cannot say enough good things about Eastcastle and all of their staff!! I would and do recommend it to everyone!!!
