Caring and safe environment
My mom was at Laurel Glen for 3 years and she had the most caring caretakers we could have hoped for. Under new management and I am told they are keeping the same caretakers. Could use improvement on staff/patient ratio but they are working on that.

My loved one was a resident and the experience was terrible. My loved one was often left soiled and not bathed. Room was never clean. They wouldn't check on my loved one because they said my loved one pressed the help button too many times.

Poor Care
The care was adequate under the previous management. It has completely fallen apart under Care Partners. There is almost no nursing staff. The staff they do have try very hard, but they are overwhelmed. My father hasn't been bathed for weeks, always smells of urine and has been left alone in the dining room on numerous occasions. Most of his clothing has been lost. I expect some loss in a group setting, but the loss has been dramatic under the new management. They have raised the rates while the care has declined.

Good fit for my dad
The people are wonderfully friendly and the space is a good fit for my dad.
I do wish that the staff was more organized and communicated with each other better. I don't know that the organization and communication issue is unique to such facilities.
Overall I would recommend Laurel Glen at Bremerton to others.

Laurel Glen was not suitable for mom. It was to big and too many floors. We were afraid she would get left her room. Also, it was old and needing updates. Also there wasn't a very big outdoor space for the residents.

A close knit caring community
We give the cleanliness 4 stars only because they are doing some renovating and it is hard to be completely tidy. The staff members get 5 stars! They are outstanding! The care services get 4 stars, however our loved one who is a patient there has sever short term memory loss and we are sure it is difficult to remind her of things 24/7. We have only had one meal there but it was good. The staff was thoughtful enough to bring my husband and I dinner the night we were finishing setting up our loved ones room because we hadn't had time to eat all day! However our loved one has commented many times that she also likes the food. Our loved one is very active and love to interact with the people and she really enjoys the outings. As far as value, from what I have learned about the cost to live in an assisted living facility, Laurel Glen is competitive. However, I think they really shine in how their staff interacts both with the residents & their families. They are extremely accommodating and very compassionate. This is a facility I would recommend to others and in fact have .

tour of Laurel Glen
we toured Laurel Glen and upon first impression it was horrible. the staff were amazing, and if the community matched the staff it would be great. they also let us know that their community had been taken over by a new management/corporation so there would be a lot of changes and price increases. we chose another community because Laurel Glen did not fit what we were looking for.

The staff and residents are the very heart of our community and what makes us so special. Our new management company is definitely making some positive changes and much needed upgrades to our building, however we remain the most affordable option for Senior Living in Kitsap County and have no plans to increase rates in the near future. My review of Laurel Glen
The marketing director that we dealt with at Laurel Glen was great and she really went above and beyond to help get my mom settled in. The staff were all very friendly. After my mom adjusted, she did really like it here. They did not seem like they had the same amount of monitoring as she had at another facility that she was at, but I know everyone is short staffed.

Happy with my choice
We chose Laurel Glen because when I walked in everybody was so friendly and helpful and the residents who lived here were welcoming as well. I have never seen anyone grumpy, it is just a good positive vibe. I would recommend them to others looking.

We chose Claremont because once my parents money runs out they are able to stay and they had a very high rating. The room sizes here are fine, they are in 2 singles with a joining door. We have not been here outside of covid yet so I am limited on opinions. Overall, it has been a good experience and I would recommend.
