The thing I like most about Brookdale West Boynton Beach has been the location of the facility.
This community felt very nice and homey. It was renovated and they offer a high level of care. Staff was very friendly and it was clean. They had the bread machine on when I visited and it was the best smell. The memory was smaller which my mother needed due to her behaviors. I wish she could have been in the assisted living side because I know she would have been happier there. The prices were very affordable for the care they provided and the higher license
The community is clean and neat and the food smells amazing. The staff is really nice and genuinely cares about the residence. Communication is really good and they return calls quickly.. I would recommend this community to others and already have
Almost every staff member that I met was extremely nice and wanted to be as helpful as possible, from the maintenance guy all the way up to the ward mangers. One ward manager in particular was exceptional, and was able to explain some dementia-related things to me that helped me relate to my loved one better. She called me to offer her condolences after my loved one had passed. There's no doubt in my mind, they have such great staff. The only thing that marred my overall experience a bit was when I had to move my loved one out quickly so she could spend her final days at home, the overall manager was difficult to deal with, and I had to get corporate involved. But even with that situation, if I had to move my loved one again, I would still consider Brookdale. I interviewed MANY places, and hands down, Brookdale was the best on pricing, quality, and room size. I had no complaints. I was pleased with their communication, and how they handled me being able to communicate with my loved one during Covid. I was able to make window visits, and then when the Covid situation improved, we were able to see one another in person by appointment. The meeting room was very clean and well cared for, and the staff was exceptional. When my loved one's health declined, they were very good at letting me know what was going on. At the end, hospice came and provided the additional care than Brookdale wasn't able to provide. When I was able to visit my loved one's room during hospice treatment, I noticed the bathroom was not clean as I would have liked. There were linens lying around, etc., but the bedroom itself was well cleaned and taken care of. I noticed some supplies I had been sending that weren't being used, yet I was being charged for them. There was food I had brought a month ago in the refrigerator. I'm not sure if this was because my loved one was declining so they had let things slide a little. Big picture - the staff I dealt with on the phone, to the assistant who helped me get my loved on moved in and set up, to the receptionist, to the nurses, they were all wonderful. They couldn't have been more nice or more caring. I had no fear that way. I trusted that my loved one was being well looked after. Every time I saw my loved one, she was always clean, in a clean outfit, and her hair was always combed. Every one of the residents were clean and looked taken care of. No one looked disheveled, dirty, or unkempt. I had no fear that way. This such a very well run establishment, and I would definitely recommend it to other families.
We had a great visit. Very impressive presentation and lots of information. Really impressed.
We think they have been very good to our loved one, everything seems to be going really well so far. Sometimes the communication has been a problem, sometimes when we call we have to leave messages and we don't get a quick response. However overall we have been very happy, the people we do get to speak with are very friendly and very receptive to our questions. This community is also a lot less expensive then others in the area.
We chose Brookdale West Boynton Beach because they are the highest level of care which is what we needed. They also took my brothers 2 cats that he had. They also had a move in special at the time. The director and nursing staff seem to be very capable and take great care of him. He does say the food here is more than adequate. I would recommend for other families to check this place out.
We chose this community because we liked the location and price. We came and looked from out of town and it was a nice layout and looked more like a hotel. Everyone seemed nice and pleasant. They are very attentive especially with dealing with COVID. The only criticism would be to get itemized statements for the supplies.. I would recommend Brookdale West Boynton Beach.
I actually visited this community during their renovations and I can't wait to see them again. I was looking for a studio and one bedroom for my mother and they have great floor plans and they are good sizes. The staff is soo warm and welcoming and there is a lot of life and movement. The were a lot of women out sitting on the front porch laughing and one had a dog-so they are pet friendly. I like that there are two dining rooms and the residents can choose to sit in a formal dining room or casual dining room. They added a theater, fitness center and bistro which is nice to enjoy. The women I met with introduced me to the Executive Director and we had a long conversation and she was so knowledge. Overall very beautiful community. My tour was very informative and felt very homey. My mother loved it.
Like the area, the place, but one of the apartments they showed smelled really bad. Additionally no Spanish speakers among the staff. However, [name removed] was very helpful with the information provided.
I met the sales person at the community who was very accommodating. The community is absolutely beautiful and I love the outdoor space available. The apartments are very adequate and the staff was very friendly. I moved my mother in one week after touring.
Although the place seemed nice and clean, it didn't have what I was looking for in terms of type of rooms, set up of the rooms and the fact that an elevator would be needed unless my Dad was put on the first floor.
Mom is in the memory unit and doing really well. They are very caring
This community was very nice and our tour was well done by the staff who were friendly and informative and answered all our questions. They served a good lunch and we enjoyed sitting and visiting with the other residents during lunch. I just did not think that would be to accommodate my mom's needs in the assisted living section.,
This is a very nice facility to live in. My tour of it went very well. Everyone was very kind, and friendly. The community looked good, and everything appeared to be well maintained. I really like the room they showed me, it was nice with a lot of open space. Everything went very well, and this is a community I would had felt comfortable moving my friend too.
We have been very pleased with Brookdale West Boynton Beach and feel fortunate to have found an environment so well-suited for my 65 year old brother. The entire staff has been very helpful with the transition and are attentive to his needs. We would highly recommend this Brookdale community!
When I toured the Brookdale West Boynton Beach, I thought it was a very nice community but not the right fit for my father. That is personal preference. The staff was welcoming and friendly.
Excellent tour. Crystal was outstanding!
Making a change from a previous senior home to Brookdale was a success. so far I am pleased with Brookdale, however the mechanics respond the my request quite sluggishly. [Removed] Unit 302
This community is nice and they keep it well taken care of. The staff were nice and they tried to help mom the best they could. Unfortunately, mom's care level was to high for them. She liked the food. I would recommend this community for residents that are a little more independent.
