We chose Brookdale Vancouver Stonebridge because they accept Medicare and only have a one year spend down. It is also 2 blocks from my office so I can stop in frequently. The best thing about the facility is they have a camera safety system. If your loved one falls they know immediately and are on scene. They can then watch the video back to see what happened and if anything needs to change. I would recommend Brookdale to other families.... Read more

We moved my mom because they weren't caring for her, she wasn't being changed daily and she had multiple falls. We weren't advised of those falls especially one with a big gash in her leg.

Response from Brookdale Vancouver Stonebridge
September 14, 2022Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. The health and well-being of our residents is our top priority. Your feedback has been shared with our management team for review.
They did everything they could during the short time my loved one was there. I have no complaints whatsoever. Nice people. The cost is high every where, and their cost seemed comparable to other places.

My experience at Brookdale was mixed at best. I cannot say I would recommend them.
It is very expensive, the people are nice. As much as you pay it should significantly be better overall. Everything should be the top level on everything for the community, services, and more and my loved one isn't getting this. The communication with the staff is good. The food is fine for my loved one.

I think it is a great location and they provided great care, especially for memory care patients. The activity calendar looked amazing especially before covid times. She really liked the food here. I do think administrative staff could have improved on their communication skills with the families. I would recommend to others looking.

The staff are very caring people and it is a nice place for my mom. She appears to like it there and seems to be comfortable there now. She likes the food. Initially we visited quite few communities , but I chose this community because I liked the location and they provided us with the financial options and information about the spend down that we needed. I would absolutely recommend this community to other families.

They do not only take care of your loved one but they help your whole family. They have helped me with all aspects of her care. My sister is in a shared room and they do a good job pairing people with similar interests and personalities. The activities are more involved than I thought they would be, they really do a lot with the residents.

It's incomprehensible how uncooperative and antagonistic management is towards family. I've had to say goodbye to my mom because I'm not power of attorney and I refuse to put up with the disrespect management shows me. This antagonistic disrespect has gone on for a year. The new director seems to have bread new life into the attitude! Save yourself a headache and try someplace else!!

The worst possible. They miss represent the price and the care. The women and men working there do their best to keep up, but there are just not enough of them. As soon as they get you moved in, they raise the price and loose your belongings. Do not put your loved ones there.

I was pleasantly surprised at the staff and the cleanliness of the building. On the other hand I was amazed at the cost. I will have to talk with my family. At this point there is no way I can afford this alone. It was nice to know that they accept Medicaid after a certain amount of time. I don't know what my copay will be or how that works. Lots to find out.

I toured this community for my mom. The staff was nice and the community was clean. The menu offered would have been offer seemed to be a good healthy variety. The community did not inform me if they had activities that might have been offered. We wanted a different feeling in a community but would recommend this community for families to tour for the options for care for a loved one.

This is a smaller memory care community. They allow pets and seem to offer a few activities for the residents to enjoy. The people I met were nice.

When I first toured the Brookdale, I liked the interaction between the staff and the residents. They seem to be caring weldcoming. The place is clean and the food seems fine. When the weather gets better, they take the residents on outings. Right now, they have a good variety of activities. We are happy with how things are going so far.

Mom is doing pretty well at Brookdale. The staff check in on her and are nice. She likes the food , however they do serve larger portions than she likes. They offer daily activities including singalongs. The community and her room are nice.

My mother in law has her up and downs here at this community. My daughter is the one who make sure they are taking good care of her and her needs. From what she has told me my mother in law is starting to come around. It was a hard transition for us. She has made some new friends, the residents are friendly. The staff is courteous and friendly. One down side has been that they do not provide transportation. Overall It has been a good experience.

Clean and tidy, tho a bit more institutional than some places we've toured. My concern was the staffing ratio was quite a bit higher than others, and there is only one RN in the building for 80 residents.
