Redefine your independence with a little help and a lot of living.

If you're living a mostly independent lifestyle, but you could use an extra hand with some of your day-to-day activities, our senior living community with both assisted living and memory care could be right for you.

Assisted living will help you with managing medications, dressing and bathing, as well as services like housekeeping and meals. It's about redefining your independence, building friendships and making time for rediscovering an old hobby or finding a new one. Your wellness is supported by collaborative care partnerships between your family, our care associates and other healthcare providers.

And if you need memory care in the future, You'll have person-centered Alzheimer's and dementia care within the same community campus. With gentle guidance and visual reminders, our memory care communities provide a secure, safe space with a daily path of engagement that meets each resident's skill level with a sense of purpose and belonging. Along with our programming, You'll find comfort knowing that our trained staff is on-site 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

You'll have the care you need if you need it so you can focus on the fun. Here are just a few of the fun activities you could enjoy if you lived here:

Card games and board games
Devotional services
Movie matinees
Fitness classes
Crafting classes
Ice cream socials
Music
Gardening?

You could start your morning with coffee in the courtyard before joining a fitness class. Or maybe you've always wanted to take a tech class. Now you can.

Here it's all about choices€”your choices. With several floor plans to chose from, including studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom options, You'll be able to find just the right space to fit your style. With plenty of natural window light and space, some apartments even have a garden view. Your apartment also includes a working kitchen with a microwave, refrigerator and sink.

You can make a light meal in your apartment or head down to the dining room for menu options that are all about you€”your suggestions, your feedback and even your own family recipes.

Did you know people living with dementia are at a greater risk for poor nutrition and weight loss? That's why we use mealtime for our memory care residents as an opportunity to offer healthy menu choices and create a sense of belonging. With our memory care dining program, our residents enjoy dementia-friendly menus with familiar and easy-to-manage selections.

Pick out your next favorite book in our library or join friends for a game of Uno in the game room. And next time you want to have your hair done, book your appointment at our on-site beauty salon. We even have a private dining room you can reserve for special celebrations with family and friends. It's just one more way we help you live your best life.

  • Neglegent management

Some of the staff were quite good and caring, especially the folks at the front desk, people running activities, etc. However, there were serious problems with with management, which came out in different was during the 18 months my father lived there. Hygine My father's room always stank of urine, to the point where it was difficult to enter the room. We paid to have the carpet removed and replaced with vinyl flooring, yet the problem persisted. We raised it repeatedly with staff. Some of this, I know, can't be helped, but it was extreme. Communication Brookdale never once notified me when my father went in to the hospital. He was hospitalized about every 2 to 3 months during his time there, and I only found out from friends and family, never from Brookdale. I raised this repeatedly at meetings with Brookdale, received reassurance that it wouldn't be a problem in the future, and then it would happen again. I didn't get a chance to say goodbye to my father because I didn't make it to the hospital in time before he died. This might have been different if Brookdale had better communication. I raised this issue with management, who said they would look in to it, and never got back to me. In fact, the manager of the facility didn't even offer condolences when we came to clear out my father's room; she just walked by us as if she didn't see us, on several occasions. Billing Brookdale never sent me copies of my father's monthly bills, even though I had power of attorney, was managing his finances, and requested the bills in writing on several occasions. Brookdale has not refunded me for the rent paid in advance that they owe me after my father's death, even though he died 3 months ago. I have asked about this repeatedly, received reassurances, but no refund. I find this behaviour on the part of management to be negligent.

  • The very best in the area

My uncle (in his mid 90s) has resided at Brookdale for the past year. Unable to live on his own, he requires "extra" help with activities of daily living (ADLs) which are not generally available in other assisted living facilities. Even with his loss of independence, he is quite content at Brookdale, as the staff there is professional, kind, engaging, and respectful. The facility has a bright and cheerful ambiance, is exceptionally well maintained, and has conveniences such as therapy availability, a beauty-barber shop, and skilled-care nurses onsite. My uncle, a very picky eater, enjoys the food and the array of menu choices. But perhaps the most outstanding feature is the Brookdale staff. During the past 12 months I have met nurses, aides, members of management, dietician and food service employees, who are extraordinary people--never too busy to answer questions, provide information and help, and who reflect the utmost competence and excellence. A special shout-out to [name removed], the receptionist who is an absolute delight, and [names removed], the maintenance staff who, I'm convinced, can do anything! In my opinion, Brookdale is the very best assisted living facility in this area.

  • I had a great experience with [name removed] during the tour and lunch. She asked a lot of questions about me and I also asked a lot of questions. I’m planning on going again with my brother in law to get his opinion. Thanks so much for everything you do.
