The facility is small and personal. The staff seems to have a good general sense of the individual needs and personal quirks of their clients. Housekeeping and dietary services are good, though it is not clear who is responsible for client laundry. Need clarity re: respiratory disease precautions and procedures. I would like the monthly bill to show a separation of room/board and care charges. This is important for tax purposes. I would recommend that, whenever possible, there be family meetings with a multidisciplinary care team. All in all, this facility is good and comfortable for those who must remain there.

Located in southwest Florida, you can find our family-oriented memory care community tucked away in the city of Cape Coral, which is known for its abundance of canals and is home to Sirenia Vista Park, the Cape Coral Historical Society and Museum, and many other attractions. Plenty of manatees call Cape Coral home, as well!
Brookdale Santa Barbara is committed to establishing person-centered relationships, utilizing two memory care programs for residents based on their cognitive abilities. The Clare Bridge program was created over 30 years ago and is intended to help residents in the mid to late stages of dementia, while the Solace program is designed to accommodate residents in more advanced stages of the disease. Solace provides an additional layer of care, which includes ample time for grooming assistance and activities with the senses, including music and aromatherapy. Regardless of residents’ care needs, all can embrace a sense of security here. Staff is available 24-hours a day, seven days a week to be alerted to an emergency, and a 24-hour security system and keypad entries have been installed as added safety measures.

Best Care for My Mom!
My mom has been at the Brooksdale Santa Barbara since March. They care and love her while providing the attention needed 24/7! The staff is friendly, helpful and treat you like you are part of the family! I can sleep at night knowing my mom is care for and is safe! Thank you for being the BEST in Southwest Florida!

Everyone has been very helpful, friendly, and courteous. [name removed] needs to be encouraged to participate in activities. She likes crafts, coloring, etc. She has coloring books. She must have her new hearing aids in her ears in the morning, and removed at night. I have requested that the nurse be the only one who handles her hearing aids. Missing some clothing items, i.e. short white house coat, brand new. House keeping needs improvement. The floor needs swept. Thank you to all for caring for my mother.

I feel comfortable having Mom there. I can rest easy.
They're amazing. My mom is so happy. They've been wonderful and have done everything to make her feel like they value her as person. Just because she has memory issues, they don't treat her lesser a person. They care for everyone's value of life, and I really really like that. They're also very good about making sure that she's not overmedicated, and that she's just happy in general. It's all about her being happy, and you can see that when you go to visit. My kids even notice that grandma is so happy.

My grandfather was there for 3 days and suffered a heart attack, the nurse left him with an attendant to call 911 but did not show any care for the situation. They had no sympathy and did not care that this happened.
They tried to charge us for the full 6-month contract price after he passed and would not provide an incident report or any details of what happend.
I would not recommend this facility to others

A great fit
We chose Brookdale Santa Barbara Cape Coral because every time I drove by and saw ads I said that is where I want him to be at. They also had come down on price so it was affordable. The room sizes are good for his needs. The food is excellent, he eats everything he gets. The meals are chef prepared. The only reason I gave a lower score on the care services was because sometimes when we go in there he is not shaven and his hair and nails are grown too long. But, when I bring it up to them they fix it right away. I would absolutely recommend.

A nice community
The caregivers at this community are excellent and take good care of my loved one. The food seems to be ok. The community is clean and the grounds are nice. I am pleased with this community and I would recommend it.

Brookdale's dark side
My first visit was good. Their people had come to our home to evaluate my wife for the care she would need. They seemed fully prepared. They quoted us $4500 a month. moving was smooth. Day 2 I was called to the office I was told that they would have to feed my, $600 additional and told it took two people to move her from the bed to her wheel chair ect, another $600. It was a real "bait and switch. The was certainly very unprofessional if not unethical and perhaps [Removed] .

A tour for care
We liked the tour here at this community. The staff were nice and caring to answer the questions we had on the care that is needed. The menu seems appealing and the activities are offered to the residents who can participate. We would recommend other families tour this community for the care of a loved one

Helpful in a difficult time.
Brookdale came to our rescue in a time of need. I needed a place for my mom fast and Brookdale had availability. The moving in process went pretty smoothly.They always contact me if something happens with my mom and give me updates. They could keep better track of her things.She's lost her walker and towels since moving in. She also said the food is n't very good.

Too few caregivers!
The people taking care of Mom were awesome but there were way too few care givers. She needed more care than they could provide especially at holiday time.
Every concern we had they tried to address but know they were not going to hire any more care givers. Everyone pitched in and tried to do their very best.

When I went on the tour I really liked this community. The staff are friendly and nice. The community is clean, but my only problem was that they were suppose to hold a room for my dad and they sold it.

Too few caregivers!
The staff was wonderful but they didn't have enough staff to adequately take care of all of the people there.
The place was lovely and they had many fun activities for the residents.

Nice Place With Kind People
I had a pretty good tour of this community, Everything went well. This is a nice community, everything looked very well maintained. The staff was very kind and friendly. Everybody was very welcoming. It was a good experience. They treated my family and I very well, this is a nice place.

Beautiful community. Seems very upscale. Front desk person was a little put off we were therexpecting saying they did not have enough notice and no one to give tour. She did leave desk for quick tour. No way to get pricing.

Good Community For My Husband
My husband is being cared for well here at this community, but he is still adjusting. They have a lovely staff here, I know he is in good hands here. They have been caring and helpful. The community looks great as well, everything is well maintained. This community has worked out pretty well so far. This is a community I would recommend.
