Our family was able to have an in person tour, it was during the height of covid so we had to gown up and mask up, it was not their fault they were following protocols but ti was just overwhelming. However our loved one right off the bat did not feel like this was the place. The building itself is a little imposing a big, it is also more in an urban area so not to much landscaping or big grounds. We were looking at other communities and we could just picture our loved one somewhere else, and not here.

We are sorry to hear your tour of Brookdale Quincy Bay did not meet your expectations. We would like to thank you for taking the time to visit and provide feedback.
The community is located close to shopping and it's within walking distance. The community is working on some upgrades to the facility including new appliances. They offer services to help with everyday tasks. I would recommend this community to others based on my experience.
We chose Brookdale because we needed a place quickly and they had availability. We had no issues with the tour, but we feel they should not have accepted him because of his condition. There were some times where we think they could have done more for him and did not. It was tough for him to get around in his wheelchair and the units are not really set up for handicap residents. I would tell others to take a close look at what the needs are and what the facility is offering.

We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback and are sorry to hear we did not meet all of your expectations. The care and safety of our residents is our top priority, and we will share your concerns with our management team.
The staff is welcoming, organized, and helpful. The one thing I would like to see is more communication. A weekly newsletter to the family would be good. They send one to the residence but I would like one also. I would recommend this community to others
The personal attention to the residents. My loved one felt the staff were friends to her.
The meals and dining service is excellent, and the professionalism really stood out to us. Especially during COVID they have done a good job managing it, and the communication is excellent. They are just a highly professional organization.
This facility is an A+, Their covid plan has been amazing and they are a model organization for how to handle covid. The staff is outstanding and the care he receives is wonderful. They have made a big effort to continue visits including zoom and window visits. I would recommend this facility to others.
Compared to other communities its a little cheaper, but Brookdale Quincy Bay is still pretty expensive. My mother says the food they have is good, they offer three full meals. The rooms sizes are adequate.
My mother chose to move here a few years ago. She loved it from the tour. When she moved in, she needed no support, just accessibility. Since then, her needs have slowly shifted. The staff have stepped in just enough in every case. They support her independence, while giving her compassionate and joyful interactions during their support. I Facetime with my mother often, and have overheard many unplanned interactions with her and staff, all pleasant. They always know to ask her about her new granddaughter, which makes her happy. I have heard them sit through the same stories multiple times with enthusiasm as though it was their first hearing. Staff have always been there to communicate with me, which makes living far away for work much easier. During this pandemic, they took great care to keep her safe. They increased services as needed. Their tone was perfect, so that my mother felt safe not restricted. Some staff even sent me photos and videos of my mother waving from the balcony, during drive-by concerts by thoughtful community members; an unexpected but very personal touch. I truly cannot speak highly enough of the people who work here. They do anything they can to ensure residents are happy.
Kudos to the Administration and ALL the staff at Brookdale Quincy Bay for their compassion, thoughtfulness and professionalism in the way they have managed the coronavirus. They insure that the residents have every need met, not only during this crisis, but at all times. The residents are fortunate to have staff on hand where the smallest detail receives full attention. As the saying goes, “It is difficult to please all of the people all of the time, etc.” but Brookdale Quincy Bay has succeeded. They have given more than 100% during this difficult time. They deserve to be recognized for their dedication.
My mother has been at Brookdale for over 10 yrs. She is now 97 yrs old and still going strong. The staff - from Director ( and she’s been through a few ??) to the support managers, kitchen and housekeeping, and maintenance crews - all try their best to accommodate the residents with their well-being in mind - both physically and emotionally. I would recommend Brookdale to anyone considering a home for their family member.
This is our best option so far. The residents are engaged more than any other Place we’ve visited. The place is lively and there was a room with views of the bay, but mom is dragging her feet.
An older large apartment building not really a community
Too large a complex No grounds outside for walking Apartments are very dated and small Lots of activities Good dining options
Brookdale Quincy seems to be a good fit for my dad. The community is very clean and well kept. The food is good, I have shared meals there with my dad and he says the only thing that is lacking is fresh fruit, he really misses having fruit with the meals provided. There are activities offered, but my dad is younger than a lot of the residents, so a lot of the activities do not appeal to him. He does use the shuttle service provided to go into town for shopping or attending concerts in Boston. The apartment my dad has is great, very clean and comfortable. I would recommend Brookdale Quincy Bay to others.
Will most likely sign an agreement here. Great knowledgeable staff everywhere we visited. The Director and sales person Kevin were very personable and inviting. Both inspired confidence in our decision.
I toured here, and it was nice. It wasn't exactly what we were looking for, but it was very nice. It might be a good fit for a friend, but not for us.
The staff are over-the-top with all that they do for my mom. She loves all the activities and outings that are offered. My mom lives a happy active life from the community! The dining room has folded napkins and loves the catering atmosphere. My mom's rooms is kept clean but the lower part of the facility could use a fresh paint and constant vacuuming. I would recommend this place!
Brookdale Quincy Ma. My experiences with my mom being here is really not good. When we were looking for a place to have my mom live out her life with ease and comfort we truly felt that Riverbay was the place for her. The staff was friendly and seemed genuine. When we moved my mother in she loved it the staff was friendly and attentive. The residents seemed friendly and excited to be there. As time passed and my mother needed more assistance everything went down hill. They would not treat her well because she needed help& if she complained they would harress her and tell her she was going to get them fired. She would sit in her own urine until someone was free to help. While showering they would tell her to hurry up they were getting off there shift and needed to do paperwork before they could leave. When in a activity if she needed assistance she would wait her turn but then be told she didnt tell someone fast enough. The staff is up and down. There are some great employees there a few Aides are great the others should be let go ASAP. There is one Nurse Diane that really needs to be replaced. I have personally heard her say that she hopes she doesnt walk in to residents room and see something she doesn't want to deal with. Then opposite is the Director of Nursing Anne [removed] is spectacular. She really truly cares. Some people that work there are only there for a paycheck. The Director Mark is worthless he tells you a story but never follows through. He never returns emails or calls he does not want to deal with issues. He is all about appearance at the moment but does not get to the route of the problems. Stop and ask other people before you enter your parent into this place. If we could we would move my mother but she is not willing to change her life again. Seniors need our help to be comfortable not pushed around. Help Others First
Loved my tour lots of activities place was clean everyone was friendly going back for lunch next week !
