I like it! It's nice and comfortable with good people
I like most of the people who live here. Friendly & happy. What more can you want??
My sister is so excited to be here. The care is outstanding. She has been in different group homes and loves Brookdale
I have been here 4 days and i love it. Staff is wonderful and quite caring
It's an excellent place to live
We are very happy here during our loved one's stay. We were extremely happy with them overall, and would recommend them to others. The people are friendly and professionally stand out for me. The staff try hard.
We toured during Covid, which made it difficult no matter where you went. I liked the location. It was very close to us. I was not as crazy about the apartments - I wanted a small kitchen, but theirs had a refrigerator that was almost the size of a microwave. It was too small. But if you’re never in the kitchen doing stuff, it’s perfectly fine. It just depends on your needs and preferences. This one was a little pricier too. But they did a good job with the tour itself. They were accommodating, and they did the best they could with it under the circumstances.
I was very impressed with Brookdale North Scottsdale. The biggest difference between them and where we ended up was a difference in cost. At the time, we were trying to be a little more conservative in balancing the time we felt she had left vs. cost. Our tour was quick, but I felt the facility was very nice, with multiple dining rooms, and the resident rooms were very nice. They had a library and lots of other amenities and activities, which is great. But based on how my loved one was at the last facility, I knew she probably wouldn't be taking advantage of all those things.
I'm extremely happy with everything. From the friendliness of the staff to the additional interview process. Anytime I visit the staff know me by name and know who I'm there to visit. My mother is very happy here and she says everyone is nice. She has no complaints about the community. I'm very pleased, and relived about the community taking care of my mother. This has taken a lot off my shoulders. I highly recommend the community.
We chose Brookdale North Scottsdale because it was in her price range and she got a nicer discount and her apartment is a very generous size. The staff have been very good with communication since we are not able to go inside the facility. It has been hard because of everything that has gone on this year but I would recommend them to others looking.
Our contact was very knowledgeable, yet when we arrived, there was no one in the lobby to greet us our to provide security from unwanted guests. Had to walk around to offices to get someone's attention. Staff seemed friendly, there was a slight odor in hallway on upper floor.Had lunch, Jeff had fish and chips which he said were good. I had a turkey sandwich, bread dried out. Apartments small, microwave only in rooms. Residency seemed to be assisted living; all residents seen had walkers or wheelchairs. No real interaction between residents, many areas had dual purpose. Lobby is changed into "party area" and library duals as plant potting.

We regret to hear that we were unable to meet all of your expectations. We want to thank you for your feedback and please know it will be reviewed and used to better serve our residents and their families in the future.
Brookdale North Scottsdale has been a beautiful, delightful, active community for my father for 21/2 years. My father has felt loved, appreciated, respected and safe during this time. We all enjoy the daily, weekly and monthly activities. The staff is fun, positive, attentive, and helpful. The Director, [names removed] have always been approachable and listened to our questions or concerns. We highly recommend this home for your loved ones.
Prior to signing, the staff was very helpful and informative. They understood that the cost of memory care was high and were willing to work with us on move in date(s) and other financial options. They were patient with us as we moved in and decorated the room for mom. The nursing staff was attentive and caring in her final days, They also integrated and worked well with Hospice of the Valley staff, and so we have no qualms in recommending Brookdale. Just be patient with all of the paperwork that needs to be completed beforehand.
WE LIVED HERE FOR 4 YRS AND LOVED EVERY MINUTE. I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS. THIS PLACE IS YOUR FAMILY WITH EVERYBODY, RESIDENTS AND STAFF LOOKING OUT FOR EACH OTHER. I SURE HATED TO LEAVE AFTER 4 YRS BUT WE COULD NOT AFFORD IT ANYMORE AS THEY KEPT RAISING RENT. WE WILL NEVER FORGET THOSE WONDERFUL 4 YRS AT BROOKDALE N SCOTTSDALE THANK YOU [name removed], EXEC DIR AND ALL OF YOUR STAFF. I MISS ALL OF MY FRIENDS THERE. [name removed]
Pros: close by, Dad liked the food, all inclusive for &5k per month Cons: older population, avg age is 80, small rooms
Very nice property, however not in our budget and the distance from the apartment to dining is far for my 100 year old mother. Must let it go.
Liked very much
This was a nice looking community when I visited. They do not offer individual apartments they have rooms with bathrooms. This community was also a little more expensive than what we were looking for.
I have my mom at Brookdale and she is telling me her experience is good with them. She hasn't had any problems yet and The staff send me emails with activities. Other than that they have not contacted me.
We were happy with the tour of this community for mom. The staff were nice and the community was clean with a nice environment. The menu was appealing and the activities would of been offered for her to participate. We needed additional care that they did not offer at the time. We would recommend that other families tour this community for the care of a loved one.
