I knew this was the place for my loved one within 5 min. The staff's heart is in this community and the atmosphere is great. The community is also kept very neat and clean I would recommend this community to others based on my experience
We chose Brookdale North Euclid because of the cost, it was one of the least expensive places we found and I liked that it was smaller than some of the other places meaning our cousin would get more one on one attention. The room sizes here are too small and the bathrooms are not handicap accessible or made for people who need help bathing which has been one of our issues. There was a sore that my cousin has had for a long time and it has gotten worse, so some promises that were made are not followed through. I think that when we discussed the pricing initially it was a lot less than we are paying right now, so I wish they would have been more realistic with us in the beginning on the pricing.
Brookdale sends our families newsletters and emails about all the activities, however according to our loved one they have had a couple of entertainment nights but has she has never been notified of them. They do let us set up 30 minute visiting sessions with our loved one, but that is really the only thing we can get involved in right now due to the restrictions.
We are very happy with the community. I would recommend this community to others for their loved ones. The staff is very friendly. They contact you with any changes. You can tell the staff is very caring towards residents.
We chose Brookdale North Euclid because it was a temporary stop for her and it was convenient to her house and our family. The cost was good as well. This facility is a converted dormitory, so the rooms were like a smaller studio, they were adequate for her needs. I would recommend others to take a look.
During my mother’s stay at Brookdale she made many many friends, as well as the wonderful staff. There were a variety of activities to experience throughout the week, and she enjoyed sitting with her friends in the dining room while choosing from the chef’s healthy selections from the menu. Although it was stressful to not actually be with mom during COVID-19 policy, the administration provided Zoom meetings for updates and also porch visits. Their protection of our loved ones showed me that the residents are family to them too. I truly appreciate the communication with the administrative staff, health department and reception community. They were always kind and compassionate. I felt at peace knowing my mother was safe and taken care of at Brookdale.
Very nice and modern facility. Staff and residents seem engaged. It is on a busy street, but may not be a concern if resident does not drive. Seems like a nice place for the cost.
VERY NICE AND AFFORDABLE
We are very pleased overall with Mom's new home. The caregivers are all friendly, professional and respectful, the facility is clean and Mom feels safe. For a while there this summer there seemed to be a problem with having adequate staff, especially in the dining room, but we could really see them making an effort to correct the problem and it has steadily improved which shows us that they are not satisfied with providing just minimal care; they want to make their residents as comfortable as possible. We have no complaints and neither does Mom which is most important. It was a very timely move for her and being around people everyday has really improved her overall well-being. Brookdale is also very good about communicating with us and keeping us informed about anything we need to know. Our whole family would recommend Brookdale North Euclid for anyone worried about finding a good place for their loved one.
We aren't sure about the area yet but it is in the price range and it was nice
