They took care of my loved one, very well.
We chose Brookdale Englewood because of the close location and they just seemed to be the best choice that we had. It is really a great place and mom absolutely loves it here. They have a lot to offer for the residents, her favorite is the ice cream parlor. I would definitely recommend them to others.
We toured at Brookdale Englewood and would have used them, but they filled up during the timeframe we needed for a respite stay. I liked that it's a pretty small community. The salesperson is very nice and has stayed in touch. Of course you can never really know how it will go until you actually have a stay there.
So far so good. My loved one has early onset Alzheimer's. So there are some tings I get a little concerned about, but I think they've been taking care of her very well. It's just that her dementia is getting worse, so it's hard for me to rely on her self report. But every time I've been there they've been wonderful. I know it's better than when she was living at home, which is a big plus. I like that she has a single room. And it's been very clean. Also, it never smells, even in her bathroom. Her bed is always made and looks nice, and she always looks nice and clean as well, which is very important to me.
I think the community is top heavy, and the care staff has a lot of turnover. I would recommend avoiding if you are a person of color. You feel at times that the community has systematic racism. I don't feel that they reach out to the community, to find this out. I realize that most of the care staff are the ones of color taking care of my loved one. I don't see anyone like me in upper level administration who I feel comfortable going to. I do like the fact that the memory care area only has 13 residents.
The quarantine has been hard for my mom being isolated with no activities. The activities director is wonderful. They take a personal interest in all the residents. The care at Brookdale is good. They are easy to communicate with, I email with them . Great care, you get what you pay .
They take very good care of my dad. They give the attention he needs and work on keeping him active and social. He's doing much better now that he gets his meds when he's supposed to. They really try to plan activities the residents like to do. Residents all appear to be happy and well cared for. The staff also seems to be happy and is always very helpful.
Was not a good place for a dementia patient that is active. Moved my loved one out as soon as possible.
It is a clean place. Not much on the food choice or the activities. Pets are allowed but if you cannot care for them they charge around $500 extra to help you take care of them. This is too high, each month. They have a rent price and a cost of care price. This goes up every month. It takes a while to bring it back down and some care items are duplicated or not needed. High community fee. They give a good show to get you in then you have to fight with them every month about the care price and unnecessary items. Like a bait and switch . Only good thing is it is close and people are nice.
The place is clean and nice, small, only about 43 clients live there. The help is nice and go out of their way to help. They quote you a care price them make ad on afterwards based on level of care. Currently quoted at $3200 for room and $2000 for level of care. Once moved in care cost went up. Now $5400 moth which is high. Community fee is also high $2500.
Our relative was there for 2 years and things got worse over time.
We toured the Brookdale Englewood which was a very nice community. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. They answered all of the questions we had. We chose another community that was based on our budget needs.
I like the care from the staff at this community.. The care of this community was great because they were very patient with his needs. The menu was appealing with a good healthy variety. We liked the community being clean and maintained. Actives were good for him to stay active. We would recommend the care of this community with a good value
When I toured the Brookdale, it was under renovations. You would think they would renovate it in sections, but they had thew whole place under construction. It is chaos with all of that going on, so it was not an option for us.
The staff at the Brookdale have been taking very good care of my father. We even have other relatives who put their loved ones here and are happy with the care. The place is very clean, they are currently renovating and there is absolutely no disturbance. No complaints about noise or anything.
I've had one issue with this community since my mother move here. They will not listen to my brother and I when we tell them she can not self administrator her medication, but they seem to think she can do so. Other than that issue this is a pretty pleasant community. It is a nice, clean place, they do a good job with the cleanliness. The staff is helpful and polite, but at this time I would not recommend this Brookdale Community.
Brookdale took good care of my mom while she was there. The food was good. They do not accept medicaid at this community so mom was not able to stay there.
Only having my wife in Brookdale Englewood for less than two weeks I can only give my feelings on this short time of observation. I so far have only the best feeling about Brookdale, the staff has been most helpful, my wife always to be well take care of, the facility is always well maintained, and my wife seems to be adjusting well. At this point in time I have been most happy with my choice with Brookdale Englewood.
Great place. My grandfather once resided there years ago. Ultimately we chose another facility for just one reason. While the memory-care hall is small which means a great staff-to-resident ratio for my mom and how she manifests dementia it would have been too confined
We are very pleased. It's clean, and the staff is very friendly, and really hands on. They are very attentive and responsive. They have a good amount of activities for what she needs. Our loved one has improved since she's been there. I would give the food a four, it can be hard for her to chew sometimes. They are very good about communicating with us, it's as good as it can be. I would recommend Brookdale Place.
