Freedom to Live Well

Get ready to exchange cooking, cleaning and laundry for a rich and full retirement experience. At our assisted living and memory care community in Auburn, Massachusetts, we handle the household chores so you can spend more time doing the things you love. With cozy private accommodations, personalized care plans and a fun-filled events calendar, you will never run out of exciting things to do.

We're set up a little differently than your average senior living community. We have two unique communities on our campus, but each one provides you with the same extraordinary quality of life. You can join your friends for book club meetings and card games in one of the many bright and cheery common rooms, spend a slow morning sipping coffee in a rocking chair on the porch, or spend a rainy afternoon reading next to the crackling fireplace.

If you have a loved one joining us in memory care, you can expect them to enjoy the same wonderful quality of life with an added layer of support from our care team. We'll provide them with gentle guidance and encouragement as they participate in various activities that stimulate the mind...

Happiness in the woods

My father in law
roger carpenter Sr. has been living at Emeritus for two weeks. He is in his glory and just can't stop telling us how much he likes his new home. He loves the food he loves the tv and coffee room and he loves his apt. and most important he likes all the people he has met. I must say that Audrey and Patrick are a very important part to my father in laws happiness
Warm and Caring Staff

The grounds and interior of the building were beautifully decorated and always clean. The level paved walking path around the building encouraged outdoor walking. There are amenities like a hairdresser and laundry available. The food was tasty and nutritious, with a great range of choices. Dining felt like going to a nice restaurant. Most importantly, however, were the people at Eddy Pond West. [name removed], the Executive Director was friendly, helpful, and always approachable. He went out of his way to be a support to my Dad and his wife, and to us as a family. He really went above and beyond our expectations when my father’s wife’s condition deteriorated, and her nursing care needs could no longer be met at Eddy Pond. We needed to find someplace that could meet both of their needs. [Name removed]was able to make suggestions for other facilities, even visiting one on our behalf. The staff on the front desk, “the gatekeepers”, were kind, and dealt with the residents with warmth and caring. [Name removed] was a particularly valuable resource. He was observant and knew what was going on with my Dad. They had a special connection because they were both navy veterans. If Dad was lost or talking about heading “home”, [name removed]could talk to him and re-direct him. The dining room staff were particularly wonderful. They knew both my Dad and his wife well and could guide them to their tables and take their orders. They would even provide simple alternatives like sandwiches even if the items weren’t on the menu. When we visited, we were welcome to stay for a meal, but it confused my father if he was taken away from his usual table and friends. The staff handled that situation beautifully. Nursing staff, activity staff and personal care aides were kind, helpful, and knew how to gently redirect and guide my father as his dementia progressed, and as he moved into Memory Care. Although he was only in Memory Care about a month before he moved on, we could see that the care on that floor was empathetic and compassionate. Our family would like to thank Eddy Pond for their great care and would recommend it to other families.
