A friendly community!

There are still some restrictions so we aren't able to get passed the lobby, but the lobby is very well maintained. The staff members there are very friendly, and they have good quality care services. From speaking with our loved one says the meals are good, and they do have some limited group activities. We also think the value for cost is very good.

Not the place for my Mom

Please do not place your loved one here. Many things we were told about the food that was unedible, care and activities were not true. We ended up sending food to my Mom with door dash during Covid. She bathed only once every few weeks. She often helped the other residents because there was no staff around to care for them. Many got COVID unfortunately some died...I don't even want to get into what my Mom said she saw happening. She tried to help others and was told to mind her own business, staff told her she was a "mean old lady"(absolutely not true). As I tried to address each of the issues with the staff I was lied to from the top. We are in a much better place now with people that really care for my Mom....Don't be fooled by the sales talk and pretty facility. My only hope in writing this is to save others from the pain of making the wrong decision for our mom.

This one was in the top three.

This community is open airy and bright. It is easy to get around as it is all on one floor. They have living rooms/ seating areas scattered the community. They have nice outdoor spaces that are safe and secure for the residents. The food is pretty good, my dad seems to like it. One thing we did find is that there are some folks that like to go outside and walk around even in the colder winter weather and the outdoor area is not open for them to do this.

A very high quality facility in a beautiful setting. It was clean and bright with an involved staff.

Visited this property last year. Didn't feel this place was what it was perceived to be. Didn't feel like a warn place, too much like a maze to get from location to location.

Look elsewhere

This is not the place to have a loved one if you are not in the area and can make regular visits. They say they launder clothes only for one resident at a time, however I discovered dirty clothing and poorly laundered clothing. New clothing missing never to be found. Resident with history of falls left sitting out in atrium with no walker or staff present. Also resident room and bathroom cleanliness left a lot to be desired. The shame is that these residents with dementia lack the ability to speak up for themselves.

[name removed] was very friendly and helpful in this difficult process. The open environment at Brookdale is fantastic and you could see that the residents were happy and well cared for. [name removed] was very thorough in her presentation which left me with very little questions I needed answered. The tour of the building was great and she showed us all areas as well as the different room styles. The staff interaction with the residents is great, very light hearted and fun which the residents just loved.

Very nice facility. 100 % memory care. The price is too high for our budget.
