I toured Brookdale Cypress Station and their costs were more efficient. I just didn't get that warm homey feeling here. We chose another community because the distance was also not a good fit for us.

I toured Brookdale Cypress Station and I knew that even though I liked it, it wouldn't have been a good fit. I didn't tour their memory care side because I didn't think she would be admitted to memory care, therefore I only saw the assisted living side. I didn't realize my mom would need memory care until after she was evaluated. So I looked into assisted living more than memory care initially. I loved the assisted/independent living but that wasn't apart of the rest of the community. The setup was a bit confusing in regards to where the dining room and rooms were located. Little by little I found out mom might need memory care, even though her dementia was very minimal and she was still fairly independent.
My tour was okay. I just took a quick, brief look. The staff were pretty good, although I think anywhere you go they all try to give a good first good impression during the sales process.

The staff is very friendly. They seem to be pretty responsive. It seems like our loved one is getting the care she needs, and we've not really had issues so far. Just a couple of little things. Her floor has been kind of sticky, not sure why. And it can smell like urine at times.
The tour guide for this community was great and actually gave me information for a discount due to my loved one working for a sister company. They also gave me information for another Brookdale that was closer to me, she sent videos and everything.
It's a very good location. The staff are friendly. They really take care of the residents and treat them like family. The nursing staff is very involved and concerned. My loved one says the food is good and seems satisfied with it. They have a lot of activities, but less right now due to Covid restrictions. Overall it's a great place.
The staff was very prepared and knowledgeable about the property and my needs i am verity impre4ed with this property.
The staff is super friendly. The location is extremely nice. It's clean. They have a lot of activities for the members. My family member likes to play instruments, so he plays the piano there every day. They have bingo and bowling, and they've started taking the residents on outings once a week. The food is good and my loved one has no complaints. The rooms have cable and internet, so we've always been able to communicate with him. He's been keeping busy. It doesn't feel like a retirement home. It feels like you're on a cruise ship. My wife and I are thinking about going there when it's our time.
We toured this community and were not impressed. The staff was not very friendly at all. The community was not very clean and there was no follow-up after the tour.

I had the privilege to do a meet and greet with [name removed]. the Executive Director who oversees this great community she was very professional, goal oriented and spoke highly of her community and wonderful Team, you can tell she has a heart of gold and very passionate about the well-being of her residents. I just want to say thanks for doing what you do!
When we were able to visit the community the meals and dining service were very nice. The rooms are adequate for what they would need. We would recommend this Brookdale Cypress Station to others.
The community was very clean, and assisted with the transition of my loved one. The staff is trying to interact with the residents in trying to have the residents participate in activities during COVID. Brookdale Cypress Station is very friendly and treat my loved one well.
This was a difficult transition for my mother from a home she had lived in for nearly 40 years. The patient and caring staff has made all the difference, as my Mom has gone from not wanting to leave her room to going down for every meal and meeting her neighbors. The extra help my Mom receives when showering and even going to the bathroom means so much to me, my sister and my brother. We cannot provide this type of care for our Mom 24/7, which she needs. But Brookdale can and does every day. We also appreciate the way the staff goes out of their way to introduce themselves to us and inform us on what my Mom did during the day or evening. It is comforting to know that our Mom is well-taken care of each and every day.
Very good communications prior to my appointment. They were well prepared for my visit and were very helpful and patient with all my my questions. Very clean, great meal options and wide range of activities. Appeared to very well organized. This is one of the 2 places that are at the top of my list. I just need to consult with my sisters and my mother before I can make a final decision but this is more than likely the facility we will go with.
visit was great but they could not do medical dr visits to Downtown Houston.
visit was great but they could not do medical dr visits to Down Town Houston.
It was clean, staff very friendly, helpful, nice room. Only problem was mom fell inside her room a week after move in. She was Found on floor at 630 AM on a Sunday...went by Ambulance to Hospital. I never got a call from anyone at any time. I went to visit Mom on Monday about 1230 pm — 30 hours after the incident... then was told my mother was at the hospital. I consider that totally unacceptable.

Brookdale properties are always great, in my opinion. This one is no exception. The staff has welcomed my mother and has gone out of the way to make her feel at home. I can't say enough about Brookdale Cypress Station.
Mom is here and she loves it. They are treating her real nice and taken good care of her. The try to engage her to join the daily activities. The food is good but she's like Mikey she'll eat anything. It is clean and there are no odor smells. It has a nice courtyard with chairs and tables out there. She has a nice size 1 bedroom apartment. The only thing I am having an issue with is the billing and I'm working with them to get that straightened out. I would recommend this community.
