Everything about Brookdale Club Hill is great. I like it here a lot. The people are friendly and caring. My apartment is small but laid out well, and I like living here.
The activities far exceed everything else I looked at and where I was before. There is a cruise that is planned for August. Every Wednesday there is a happy hour with entertainment. There are multiple activities each day, for the residents to choose from. There is arts and crafts rooms that includes every craft you can think of. The cottages are available for independent living. The cottages have a fenced in backyard. They have every facet of care available on the campus as well They also have a pool available for the residents to use. This place is amazing! I am really glad I moved here. I've already told friends about the community, and I highly recommend the community for others to come here. The food is delicious, and it is served like you are in a fine dining restaurant. The meals are available for take out, or delivery. Breakfast, and one other meal is included in the monthly rent. Breakfast is a huge buffet of items that are available.
There is a lot of space for the residents to walk around inside and outside and the property is very nice. It has mature older trees and we just really like the setting compared to some of the newer facilities we saw. The apartment sizes are very nice and it is working out great for her. I would recommend Brookdale Club Hill to others looking.
I toured Brookdale and did not find the facility to be very clean. The size of the apartments were also very small for the price you had to pay.

I feel like covid is stopping the activities and once things open up that the activities will get better. Right now they have live music once a week, bingo and they still have church services going on to keep the residents busy and occupied. They have some really good meals and then some meals that are not so good. I would say to do it and check into it and look into this community. I looked at a lot of places and I feel like this was the most affordable and best place for my loved one to be.
It checks all the boxes and has everything we are looking for. I am very happy with our choice, we are completely comfortable and engaged here.
Really the bathrooms were the main issue - they still had tubs, and we needed a handicap accessible walk-in shower for our loved one. Which was surprisingly difficult to find elsewhere as well. . .
We really liked Brookdale and thought it was a nice facility. You do have to walk outside (under a covered area) to get from building to building and my mom was not the biggest fan of that idea. It was also a little pricier for the room size compared to others we looked into.
Good community, didn't have a lot of services what we needed for my loved one.
This is a very good place to be and the food here is excellent. That was one of the main things that sold me on this place is that the food is excellent. The staff are very good and responsive to our needs and I am very pleased with that.
Brookdale is a very nice facility. It is great for someone who is more independent. The facility itself is very big. The pay is al a carte, so that can get expensive. My loved one just needed more care than they were able to provide.
Please mention my name so that you can get a referral fee. This is a nice place and I am happy that I was able to find somewhere for my loved one. Feels more like a resort than other places and it worked perfect for what we needed. I see this place as somewhere I would go for sure.
One of my friends lived here in their assisted living. I thought it was very nice, and that they served their purpose well. But I just didn’t need assisted living at the time.
I would tell others that the duck ponds are flithy. Come here before you get old and broke down so you can enjoy it more. The meats are tough and need sauces is the reason for the low rating on the food. The food is not prepared in the community, and it has too much sugar and flour.
Overall it's been a really good experience. I do think they could be more receptive to complaints. During the bad freeze, the ball was kind of dropped on the communication part of it, leaving the residents pretty frustrated. If they had communicated clearly, it would have alleviated a lot of frustration. There were a lot of busted pipes, and as soon as they would turn the water back on, a pipe would break somewhere else. They would just leave a note on the door saying "Sorry, the water is off again." My loved one's water had been off for a week, so she hadn't been able to shower. They told her she needed to go to the cafeteria, which she didn't want to do when she hadn't showered and didn't feel good about herself. We ended up going to the director to try to come up with a solution, and we felt like she was defensive. She just told us it was unprecedented times. We weren't' expecting anything from them per se, we just wanted a little bit of validation. But once we got on the phone with the regional director, he was more empathetic. My loved one says the food is hit or miss. I think she likes it better being able to be in the cafeteria again, which just recently reopened. Meals tended to get soggy sitting in styrofoam boxes. Overall I think it's a really great value for the cost. We have been dealing with some hard things - the freeze, coronavirus. So there are going to be these hiccups. And there would be problems anywhere you go. But overall, we've been really happy with them.
Beautiful property. Lovely guide. Probably too big for my 96 year old mother who has a bit of a hard time getting around.
They were above and beyond in helping us. They made a good first impression. This just wasn't the right fit for my loved one. They even having fishing for the residents to participate in a creek on site.
The recent snow storm has left our loved ones building without hot water for three weeks now, however it is a fantastic community. It is beautiful, and the food is fantastic. We would absolutely recommend this community to others.
The community seems to be clean, inviting, and safe. The sales director went above and beyond our expectations to help with a difficult financial situation. Unfortunately, the timing for move out/move in was not workable at the time.
We chose Brookdale Club Hill because it offered assisted living and independent living so it is a nice mixture. It is on a large campus so when they can mix and mingle itll be nice because he is a social person and I want him to be able to socialize. His room is fairly small, they do have different on room sizes as well. I would recommend to others who are looking.
