There is improvement needed with the medical staff communication with the doctors and myself, otherwise they're fine. I picked this community because it was a convenient location.

We had a great tour experience with Brighton Gardens of Edison. The staff were very attentive and they took us around and showed us everything and answered all of our questions that we had. Ultimately it was up to our loved one and he just like the surroundings at another facility better. But this seemed like a great facility.

Brighton Gardens is clean and takes good care of their patients. Caregivers are compassionate and helpful. It is expensive, but you get what you pay for. My mom is in the assisted living for dementia, I believe they call it reminiscence care. She also spent time in their skilled nursing and I was highly satisfied with that too. We only have good things to say about Brighton Gardens.

Everything is going good so far, the community is very clean and we are overall quite happy with everything. We do wish our loved one would mingle a little more but they are still settling in.

My mom is thriving. I call the staff my angels, because somehow they were able to revive my mom from her darkest time to someone who is now eating and is happier now that she's not alone. It has been a good fit for her. The facility is neat - it's on old hotel, so the dining area is like you're dining on vacation. They have nice outdoor areas, and nice indoor areas, and just a lot of room and space because of the way it's laid out like a hotel.

WE toured with Brighton Gardens of Edison and I thought the facility looked crowded. I was not at all impressed with the staff that we interacted with during our time here. It was also super expensive compared to some others we looked at, the pricing here is "al a carte", so everything is an add on fee.

From start to finish, we've just been very lucky. The people who sold us the package were great. Lisa, who is in charge of the residents, is wonderful and has guided us through the experience start to finish. There is not a staff member there who doesn't make you feel welcome. They transitioned our loved one smoothly, and helped our family through it as well. We were able to visit right away because the process went so well for her. She loves the food and activities and is very happy. And we couldn't be happier - we are at peace knowing she is totally cared for.

We toured Brighton Gardens of Edison and it was a good tour. We saw the residents out coloring, reading, watching tv, and getting ready to participate in a group activity. We ultimately chose another community because it was a bigger, so there was more space for the residents.

It is a friendly atmosphere, right when you walk in there is laughter and comradery amongst the staff. It is just a warm and cozy community. We are glad we made the move it has been a good one, and the gal in charge of overseeing the care is very responsive. However i think there was a little disconnect with the sales presentation. Our loved one is receiving really good care but we thought there would be some sort of app that we could see that would log their daily care routines - like when our loved one received their medicine, when they were bathed if they had to be. They do have an app with their social events which is nice.

I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones. The cleanliness stands out to me. The staff are very nice. My loved one is very happy here. Compared to other communities this is a good value for your money.

I went by myself for this tour and did the rapid covid test that they needed me to do. I waited 20 minutes and then they came out and told me I would not be able to enter the part of the facility my mom would be in because they had a covid outbreak. I feel like that could have been handled better and they could have been upfront before I drove up there and did the covid test and waited. I would have been fine with doing a virtual tour.

When you are meeting with them at first what they quote you is not what you end up paying. They have a lot of hidden fees and charges that you aren't told about. I would not recommend this community to others.

We chose Brighton Gardens because it was closer to home and we liked the services that they provided. She could go from assisted living to more care if needed. They offer 3 different room sizes and my mother in law is in the largest room provided, it is very nice. The best part about the community so far has been before lock down they were able to provide a lot of activities for the residents. I would recommend.

I would tell people looking at Brighton Gardens that management only cares about the money they make, not about the people. They raise the price without contacting families. They are not very friendly staff members, they are afraid of management. My mother got COVID from an aid there and no one notified me or the doctor. They sent out a letter saying if anyone had a fever, they would notify the family and doctor and they did not do either, she had a fever for 3 days. They gave her the wrong medicines many times. It was a horrible experience.

There were many times they messed up my mothers meds, didn't follow up with her doctors. Care Managers made degrading comments to my mother. Showers that weren't given at times and I had to call them to get the showers done. Room smelled of urine, and I had to tell them to do something about it, otherwise they were leaving it like that, like if that was ok. Look, if the resident don't have someone to watch out for them, they will be ignored as my mother was when she contracted COVID-19 there and all they did was put a quarantine sign on her door and never informed myself the daughter or call her doctor. This is a very sad place to put anyone, don't do it.
