I moved my mom here from another Memory Care facility that is considered top notch. Bickford's staff was much more attentive and you didn't notice the employee shortages that so many other facilities were struggling with. I would definitely recommend this facility to family and friends.

Our tour experience
Our family had an in person tour and it was a good tour, but it was not long enough to find out a whole lot of particulates. However, they did seem to really care about their residents but it was much pricier then expected.

Not What it Appears
They're not really good on communication. The staffing and service varies depending on the time of the week. I see their staffing level is quite a bit down on weekends and at night. They're nice people, but there's not enough of them to provide the care I would expect. They are understaffed across the board, and it's hard to get ahold of an administrator for questions or concerns. Overall, it's clean and doesn't smell like your typical nursing home. It's not a sterile, hospital environment. I have yet to see any activities going on, despite the fact that they have an activities director. I see activities posted, but then when we show up, there's nothing going on. And they don't seem to make much of an attempt to help my loved one get involved.

Very Pleased with the Community, Cleanliness, and The People that Work There
I am very pleased with the community. It is pretty close to home. The food menu looks good, I've just not been able to observe it. The communication with the staff is good.
The community is only allowing visits two days a week for visits due to the pandemic.

Fantastic facility, fantastic staff
We chose Bickford of Lafayette because they have a set level of care, so from the time she went in until the time she passes, the level of care stays even. WE liked that because it is easy to plan for expenses. It is also a newer facility and it was decorated beautifully, we really like the environment, Heir staff is beyond awesome, they are very attentive and are good with communication. I would highly recommend them.

I talked with the director, [name removed] quite a bit prior to moving our loved one here. [name removed] even came to our home to go over everything with us beforehand and answered all of our questions. We felt very confident with her and this facility. We were even more impressed upon moving our loved one in. Everything was very clean and nice. Staff was extremely friednly and helpful. Quality care at its best!

A good place for Alzheimer's patients.
I am very pleased with Bickford. My wife has been there 20 months. It is very cost-effective. The staff is good. My wife has a private room. They have a secured patio for residents to use. I would go 3-4 times a week to walk. They have a walking path around the building.

Very caring staff. Front of the building is always nicely decorated. Smaller facility which gives you a lot more personal care. The food is appropriate for the residents. It looks pleasing on the plate. They have a nice patio. It is a secured facility. They are willing to work with you if you have a special need.

A great place.
We really enjoyed having our father there. The staff at this facility are extremely nice and helpful. We moved him to a facility closer to home so he was only there for a short period. I would definitely recommend this facility.

My tour
This community did not seem as clean as other communities we looked at. I did not get the same good feeling as I did at the community we chose. The people I met were friendly. I do not think the staff were as educated they were at other communities.

Very nice looking place, mostly female population
I toured this community while looking into care options for a loved one. The facility was well kept and clean, and all of the staff I met seemed friendly and professional. However, at the time I toured the population was almost entirely women, and I wanted my husband to have some other men to interact with. If I had been looking for a female loved one I would have chosen this place in an instant, it's very nice!

I have really enjoyed every single person there
I like that there is a small outdoor area because my person loves the out of doors. The facility is a little short staffed right now, but I think they are working on that. I have really enjoyed every single person there.

Nice place, overall
They've done a good job so far, I don't have any complaints with anything that I've seen at the community. The facility is clean, and the staff have been friendly and professional. Overall I'd give them a 4 out of 5.
