Value for cost
The big selling point for our family is that Atria sits right on the water, and it is gorgeous. It is expensive but they are doing such an amazing job that the value is priceless. Our loved one has actually taken over the activities which is great to hear and they community is so open to adding and incorporating new activities.
The setting is very very nice, right on the river. My loved one has a lovely studio room overlooking the river. Luckily she's on the same floor as the dining room and activities, but I think she would have a problem if she were on the other floors and would have to take the elevator. The activities room looks nice, and I know she's supposed to go on a boat ride this summer, which sounds like a nice idea. The food is not served as hot as she would like it to be. It's also an older building, so it's smaller and a little more tired looking. But she says the care she receives is pretty good. And so far we're happy with the place.
Atria Manresa is the most amazing place, we would not think of a better place for our loved one. We will always recommend this community to others. We are no longer stressed out, we have no worries at all. There is nothing negative to say about the community, no red flags at all. We just do not have enough words to say how much we love this community. The staff members are all amazing, but especially the recreational director. She is so positive, and is constantly helping out with our loved dogs.
With a very caring staff, the facility is an older building. I think they do a pretty good job but they are not perfect, and the activity staff is great. I would definitely recommend this community to others
We chose Atria Manresa because the prices skyrocketed at her old facility. The grounds were gorgeous at Atria and it is surrounded by the Sevren river and was less expensive. The room sizes are adequate, they do have options on room sizes as well based on what you need. COVID caused a lot of problems with the care due to being short staffed. There are some wonderful staff members here that cared very well for her, but we did have some issues with the night shift. Overall, I would definitely recommend, there is a strong sense of community here, everybody is super warm and friendly. My mother made a lot of friends here.
The care services at Atria Manresa are great, but they have had some turnovers lately. Prior to COVID they had two or three exercise classes a day, they also had a balance session. The residents could play bingo, board games, listen to music. This community would also bring in other groups to sing to the residents. When we first came to visit the executive director was fantastic, however she is no longer there. The rooms at this community are a nice size, overall it is a gorgeous place.
We chose this community because it was a better value for the money. She also has a beautiful room with a view of the 7 rivers. The food here looks like its ok. My favorite part about the community is the location and it is a smaller community so she knows more of the residents and has more friends.
UGH! Atria Manresa in Annapolis has been an administrative NIGHTMARE since my father-in-law's first month there in [date removed]! He initially was a Level 1 care. By [date removed], they decided upon assessment (they never notified me, tho they know I'm POA & asked to be there for everything, since i'm 15min away!) that he was now a LEVEL 5 care!?! Nothing in his needs or medications changed in that month! But it's a great way to jack up the billing! I've been fighting by phone and text and emails over and over again to get corrected care levels, overage charges refunded, corrected bills............and on and on it goes. If I knew then what I know now???? I'd pick a Plan B! I honestly don't know how they remain profitable and in business. They also, without my knowledge, set him up w/a doctor's appt (one of 'their' docs) and put him on medication w/out alerting me! This is insane!!??!! Please keep investigating! We were in a mad rush to find somewhere for him and bring him from out of state to a location near us. My blood pressure has DRASTICALLY changed...........and NOT for the better!
Mom seems to be happy and settling in nicely at Atria Manresa. The atmosphere is very warm and inviting. The staff is very friendly and take good care of my mom's care needs. They have a curfew of when the residents must be back to the community so that they make sure all the residents are accounted for. Mom really likes the meals that they prepare. She participates in all of the activities the staff encourages the residents to engage in. Mom definitely has a lot to keep her busy, she really enjoys the physical therapy and all of this activity gives her a lot to talk about. I think as she gets more acclimated and makes more friends she will feel like this is home for her. We chose this community for the close proximity and the view is just beautiful. I would recommend this community to others.
Atria Manresa is a lovely place and I love being here. The staff is so great they look out for you and are very attentive and friendly. My studio apt is just right and very nice. I enjoy being a part of the many activities and field trips they offer and going to the dining area to socialize during my meals and they have a great menu to choose from. I even have transportation to my doctor appointments. I would definty recommend Atria Manresa.
This community seemed clean when we visited. The people we met were nice. This community does offer a gorgeous view. The community seems dated and compartmentalized. The community did not feel very open and bright.
The view and location is what appealed to me. Studio apartments are small but common areas were nice. Van transportation will be important to my mother.
This is an excellent facility with a beautiful view. However, we have decided against this facility in favor of another location that is more suitable to our particular needs and finances.
I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Atria Manresa.[Removed], the Community Sales Director is incredibly knowledgeable about the facility and empathetic to the challenges of placing one's loved one into a different environment. She was a calming presence by listening, offering options from respite care to becoming a resident. Also to discuss in detail the options offered through activities, outings etc. even hospice care. It goes without saying the facility itself is beautifully [removed] I give [Removed] an A+
most wonderful, hope [Removed] can qualify, clean, beautiful grounds. They have maintance personal, laundry service optional $60,various groups, at activity (supervised) Transportation to activities - shopping, movies, local events, staff attentive, they have acres on the water views amazing, Genesis Ph and exercise rooms. Dining no set time resident goes during hours, wait staff to take food order(we were there during lunch hour and they offered lobster bisque), cloth table cloth, safty bars in bathroom and pull cord, medication monitoring (reading from their brochure and discussed with Lisa personal grooming assistance, escort to meals and activities (observed) transfer assistance, diet needs and allergy to foods noted, incontinence care. Addition fees for level of care i.e personal care by hours needed and med management of no of hour/times needed. Did not ask about moving out trying to move in, but if the level of care or financial picture changes may be required to move to a facility which is equipped to meet her needs. Guess you can tell we really like the facility and have not be even touched on everything. [Removed]
The staff were not able to assist my husband with his care needs. They started to resent the fact that they had to spend more time with him and then they started getting mean with me. The food was good and they tried to encourage him to participate in the activities. They keep the community clean. I would recommend this community for more independent people.

Thanks for the four star review! I'm sorry we weren't able to meet your husband's needs and I hope you were able to find a comfortable community. If you would like to tell me more about your experience, you can email me at [removed].
Lovely location, facility nice, the staff the we met were plesant. Concern with things being so spread out being a problem for an elderly person with a memory problem. We got turned around when touring the location.
It came to my attention that she really isn't getting the help she should such as housekeeping. Her sheets has not been changed since she has been there and she has been there a little over 6 weeks. No one ever explained what she was entitled to before she moved there.

Thanks for your review, and for bringing this to my attention. Please reach out to me at [removed]. I’d like to learn more about your experience so I look into this immediately.
It is working out and our Uncle is enjoying his stay there. He has not been there very long as we just found the place, but so far the process seems to be going well. Nice, clean facility and very friendly staff.
Located in a beautiful location overlooking the Severn River. Initially had a water problem with the selected room on the first day moving into the building. Atria management recognized this problem wasn't easily or quickly repaired and permanently moved my Mom to a larger, better room for no additional cost. The facility has a lot of activities that appeal to more active seniors and my Mom very much likes the meals Overall an excellent value and and a major step above its competitors.
