This community has a number of provisions concerning food and diet which include Food must be prepared in accordance with the recommended daily dietary allowances of the Food and Nutrition Board of the National Academy of Sciences National Research Council, three daily meals and snacks must be provided, and communities must provide medical nutrition therapy if prescribed by a licensed health care professional. This type of community is required to offer a number of services. These include reminding resident of important activities to be carried out, guidance, being aware of a resident’s general whereabouts, and supervised personal care. The minimum number of residents for this community type is 21.
